laptop upgrade info needed

Hey guys i had a question!

 

Would my laptop have any benefits from an extra stick of 4GB 1600Mhz DDR3?

 

Here are my specs

 

CPU: Intel celeron N3060 1.6Ghz and 2.48Ghz turbo clock with 2 cores

Motherboard:I dont know

Graphics card: Intel HD graphics 400

RAM:4GB 1600Mhz DDR3 (which i want to upgrade to 8 GB)

Storage: SSD 128 GB idk the speed+external HDD 5400RPM 2TB

 

If anyone could tell me if i would get any benefits at all doesnt matter for what just any benefit let me now!

As long as you know your laptop supports more ram and you have a slot open on your motherboard, I'd recommend the upgrade. 4GB of ram is barely enough to do anything anymore, another 4 would probably help a lot. 
 

edit: one reason for upgrading would be multitasking. 8gbs would make it so you can have multiple tasks running without your laptop freezing up or acting slow. (Although if it does, it s because of the CPU)

2.5ghz two core is like Athlon or Pentium series. yeah 8gigs would help a lot. especially browsing.

performance wise no, dual channel cant save that cpu. but if you feel chrome is lagging due to not enough memory you can buy one, memory are super cheap on ebay now
