Mobo of choice b450 tomahawk, ROG strix or X 370 crosshair VI?

I'm thinking about upgrading to a ryzen 5 3600 and I'm undecisive of which board to take. The crosshair and strix are around 10€ more than the tomahawk so no big difference in price. I'm also interested in which is more future proof, for when I want to upgrade.

On paper both the Crosshair VI Hero and Extreme are better than the B450 boards, so I'd get either one of them than the B450 boards. Among B450 boards, Tomahawk nukes the Strix. If say, MSI makes a board with identical components and design as the B450-F or B450-E but different badges, it will cost 15% less or else it won't sell well.

I have the Crosshair VI Hero myself with a 3700x and its a beautiful combination. Only complaint is we are still waiting on the ABBA BIOS to fix the boosting of the chips while the rest of the boards have had them for weeks now.

I was just considerring the strix as I also want to include a vega 56 strix in my next build. For rgb controlling. So can I do the same with the crosshair?

As long they are both ROG it will do. Even some non-ROG Asus boards support sync.

 

but why Vega 56? Already have it?

Nah but it's cheap for around 270€, also looks like a good bang for buck, crushing anything in the same price. Well I was thinking about getting instead of a 3600 a 2600x and pairing it with a 5700 but at that price only the refference Card is available

That would be better if you want more gaming..
For the mobo I would say B450 over the X370 because the boost tech on the newer CPUs is not supported on X370.

Try to feel a B450 Steel legend, been doing great here.

Damn, that's looking good. But one thing bugs me, no bios flashback, this isn't a big problem normally but if I don't know if I can use a 3600 out of the box on it. And I don't have older cpus.
