Which 4k Monitor??

megab2000

So I have recently moved out of my main house into my new Uni house and only decided to bring 1 of my 3 monitors from home (the 2 other ones I have are really basic 1080p monitors that I only use for extra productivity when programming)

I am currently looking to get a new monitor so I can have 2 good monitors whilst I am living at University. I have been trying to make my mind up on whether I want to get a 4k monitor or if I want to get like a 1440p 144hz monitor.

My other monitor is a Benq XL2420G which is a 24" 1ms 144hz GSync Monitor so I am pretty sure that the majority of my games will be still played on that monitor (the likes of csgo which I need a high refresh rate and low response time). However thinking about a 4k monitor as I could play less competitive games like League of Legends or some single player games on the 4k as it would look nicer. I have a gtx 2080 so not really worried about my computer not being able to handle 4k though.

The monitors I have looked at are:

LG 27UK600:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B079ST25MR/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ADFSRUIA8HDF7&psc=1 #

ASUS VP28UQG:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B075CQ5Z8R/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A2IZIWNXZQ7JSL&psc=1

ASUS MG28UQ:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01B6JD2R6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1

Samsung LU28E570DS:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01LZ882YU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A34WP35ZK0D8NP&psc=1

Would like to know any other cheap-ish recommendations (less than £300ish but cheap as possible as I am back to having to pay bills myself as I have moved out lol)

Or if any of these are exceptional then yeah. Thank you in advance

Is anyone able to help?

I prefer LGs.

Right now I am using this one.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-Adjustable-Monitor-DisplayPort-Freesync/dp/B075NL1HLG/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=LG+32UD59-B&qid=1568134580&s=computers&sr=1-2

I own an older version of the Samsung (U28E590D). It is a 10 bit (8 bit + FRC) TN panel. Right now it is my spare monitor.

I also own the 28" ASUS MG28UQ. Like the Samsung it is a NT 10 bit (8 bit + FRC) monitor and it is the best 4k panel for running 1440p I have come across.

I would get the LG because it is newer tech and it has HDR10 that looks good in games like Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

They are all good choices, I would go with LG unless 27" bothers you and you wan't 28" which there is a tiny difference and what not.

Asus Sabertooth x79 / 4930k @ 4500 @ 1.408v / Gigabyte WF 2080 RTX / Corsair VG 64GB @ 1866 & AX1600i & H115i Pro @ 2x Noctua NF-A14 / Carbide 330r Blackout

Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface / KRK Rokits 10" / Sennheiser HD 650 / Logitech G Pro Wireless Mouse & G915 Linear & G935 & C920 / SL 88 Grand / Cakewalk / NF-A14 Int P12 Ex
AOC 40" 4k Curved / LG 55" OLED C9 120hz / LaCie Porsche Design 2TB & 500GB / Samsung 950 Pro 500GB / 850 Pro 500GB / Crucial m4 500GB / Asus M.2 Card
