Hybrid Drive?

what is a SSHD or Hybrid drive. i know HDD and SSD but this Hybrid is new to me.

Its a HDD with a small SSD built in for caching. On the Mac they have a Fusion drive option where it writes to the SSD first then copy's it to a HDD when its full but I assume it works about the same. Just buy a big 1TB HDD and a small 32-64GB SSD and use Intel smart response technology. Its cheaper and works best.
