To PC upgrade or not, that is the question.

Greetings,

I am currently running a setup of

Intel Core i7 6700K at 4.4

Gigabyte Z170x-Gaming 3

32 gigs of A-data Tech Hynix DDR 4 2800 in XMP 2.0

EVGA FTW3 Hydro 1080Ti

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB for C

Samsung 860 QVO 1TB for games

Toshiba x300 for data

Sound blaster ZX due to earlier win 10 problems with Optical

startech 4port PCI express superspeed usb 3.0 card for my Oculus.

I was thinking of upgrading the CPU/Motherboard/Memory, but not sure if current gen is worth the cost to upgrade.  This machine is primarily for gaming, and web use.

Just not sure if it is worth it.  I score over 100% on all 3 of the   User benchmark scores, so not sure if it really is worth spending the money.

Any ideas, or confirmation of my not worth it yet thought is kinda what i am looking for.

Thanks in advance.

The cost of upgrading and gains had will be minimal. Not worth it honestly.

I don't think it's worth it if you're getting the performance you desire? If you're not, then yes.. But I would wait to see what AMD says about Zen 2 on Tuesday..

Can I you link your userbenchmark?

I would say that it is still an adequate machine for what you are using it for, the price to performance upgrade with going to 8th gen Intel or Zen 2 Ryzen isn't worth it, unless you needed the CPU performance for something.
