Was wondering will it be healthy to put a thinkpad E485/95 or any laptop for instance on a long x1 sized gaming mouse pad and not affecting its cooling ?

depends how squishy and how big the feet are on the underside of the laptop. put the laptop down on a hard surface and shine a light from the back and see how big the gap is to the base. then put it on the mousepad and do the same thing, if you're not comfortable with the side of the gap for airflow, don't do it.
