Gsync, freesync, vsync on or off

Just wanna know if its better to use the monitor with freesync off and just use vsync to lessen my problem.

Specs: Rtx 2060 (yup nvidia thats why i wanna know whats the best sync for my monitor)

i5 8400

8gb ram

144hz 1ms MSI MAG241C Freesync

So we all know there is the new update that freesync monitors can now support gsync but not fully and not all freesync monitors but still there is this gsync setting in control panel.

It eliminates almost all tearing in my games but my problem is that some of them flickers its irritating. And some games like anthem which is poorly optimized needs to lock my framerate to 60fps to become playable. Battlefield V have this major stuttering but watching my specs on youtube run those games on ultra just runs fine.

Copied all of their settings, same problem. So i think my problem lies on my monitor's 144hz or the freesync and gsync. Because they dont post their setting on their monitor.

So should i just turn off gsync and run with freesync and vsync on or its better for all of us using freesync monitors to turn off gsync and freesync and use vsync on to eliminate tearing? Regardless of input lag in vsync because its not a big deal for me.

TIA.

Use free sync if you don't have a gsync monitor.

It's not a race to the bottom.

But we know that using freesync on nvidia gpu is like using an ordinary monitor. So should i just turn it off or are there benefits leaving it turned on?

It should act like normal freesync, however I've never used it. I use Gsync.
Freesync is being, or has been baked into the HDMI standard and so the freesync shouldn't be any different from AMD and Nvidia.
It should instead be down to how the monitor reacts to it. You did say that you have a freesync monitor so all should be good?

It's not a race to the bottom.
