I got a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB do I need to install the M.2 driver from Samsung’s website or the magician Software?

you dont have to

I never had to install any drivers to make my Samsung SSDs work (860 EVO, 960 EVO, 970 EVO). The magician software is just so you can update firmware, run speed tests, and a couple other things you probably don't need to worry about.
