Basically you are going to cut off the sides to fit.

Sold my pc and decided to use laptop for awhile while saving for next build. And now, I'm facing this problem where my VGA cable won't fit if the HDMI cable is plugged in. I really need 2 monitors since I'm really used to it.

Any suggestion?

You might have to get handy with a file to remove some of the plastic. I cant say I have ever screwed in the little things, unless its in a really hard to get to place and has some strain on the cable. IMO they're useless for on a desk or whatever.
