Upgrade alternatives to the Transcend Jetdrive 720 960GB SSD

Michcli

Hi,

I am looking to upgrade the SSD in my MacBook Pro from the 256gb to at least 960gb but do not really want to fork out for the Jetdrive 720 960GB does anyone know of any alternatives. I am a PC guy and am doing this to get more life out of it as a travel photoshop machine.

MacBook Pro "Core i5" 2.6 13" Early 2013    2.6 GHz Core i5 (I5-3230M),  Model  A1425 (EMC 2672).

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

You can get a 1 TB Samsung 860 mSATA drive then use a macbook msata adapter to install it. That should be about $400 cheaper. You will probably want to check the msata adapter compatibility first.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
