So basically i usually let my younger bro use my desktop PC whilst i am at work and he even has his own account set up. However, my parents want me to temporarily disable his account as a punishment. I was trying to figure it out and i found that i can "block" his account in the accounts tab in settings. However i am not sure as to whether this will delete his files or not.  Ideally i dont want to delete his files.

Thanks For your help

Selecting block just prevents logon. It will not delete anything.

I have this for my children on my pc as well and it has no negative effects.

(Negative effects may vary - screaming mad or crying child ranting due to loss of access xD)

Also checkout parental features set in Windows, especially Windows 10. It has a lots of impressive options and features, including, if I am not mistaken, remotely unlock/lock accounts, set time period of when the account is unlocked and more.

Yeah I forgot about that, lol.

@johnno124 its all accessible through your Microsoft account, go to the family tab and all the options are there. You can set times of day for access and you block website domains and other stuff.
