Installing Windows XP

cflanders

NOTE: I have looked around the forum for a little bit with no option to get an iso file that I know has no malware one it.

I have an older laptop that I want to install Windows XP on, for a variety of reasons, Linux will not work. I have been having a hard time to get a valid issue of windows XP that I can activate with my key. Any help finding a download source would be much appreciated as this laptop is too old to get 7 on.

I suggest sourcing a Dell OEM XP disc and proceed from there. Dell OEM discs are typically pre-activated.

Windows XP is still available from MSDN (my.visualstudio.com) as a download. You can also buy a copy from ebay.

Honestly, and I don't recommend this often, you are better off installing Linux on the laptop. You can't do anything meaningful on XP that you can't do on Linux today anyway.
