What kind of cooling best fits a "white out" themed build? Sub-zero, of course! And how exactly do you get sub-zero cooling? Well, the way that WE did it was through a phase change system... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4d0B0Dli-1g&feature=youtu.be I'm going to list out the components as well as provide a source or two for where you can get them I can't tell you where to buy this stuff, but I do lean towards NCIX for the Canadians (and International viewers if their pricing and shipping costs work out for you) because they're my bros, and for Americans, Brits, and a couple other regions, the Amazon links below are affiliate links, so of course every little bit helps CORE COMPONENTS CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K Unlocked Four Core Processor with HyperThreading NCIX: http://bit.ly/1FMxUfK Amazon: http://geni.us/afZ SSD: Intel 730 Series NCIX: http://bit.ly/1OoU5Nd Amazon: http://geni.us/30Cb Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mark S NCIX: http://bit.ly/1IE3LTN Amazon: http://geni.us/1jhU Case: LD Cooling PC-V10 NCIX: http://bit.ly/1yhGMu7 Amazon: http://geni.us/1h06 LD Cooling: http://bit.ly/1O44X0Y Video Card: GALAX GTX 980 Hall of Fame NCIX: http://bit.ly/1yhGTFV Amazon: http://geni.us/3G59 GALAX: http://bit.ly/1GAWrHK RAM: 32GB HyperX Fury White NCIX: http://bit.ly/1GAWy5Z Amazon: http://geni.us/3Jym Power Supply: Corsair AX860i NCIX: http://bit.ly/1aFq2lE Amazon: http://geni.us/S0M Mouse: Corsair Sabre RGB NCIX: http://bit.ly/1CFWyu5 Amazon: http://geni.us/4EGi Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB NCIX: http://bit.ly/1aFq5Oh Amazon: http://geni.us/2hLX Monitor (gaming): Acer XB270HU Bprz 27in WQHD G-SYNC IPS 144HZ LED Monitor NCIX: http://bit.ly/1z7Ih94 Amazon: http://geni.us/1Hqk Cooling Components CPU Heatsink: NCIX: http://bit.ly/1DznxfM Amazon: http://geni.us/1h06 LD Cooling: http://bit.ly/1O44X0Y Extra Fans: NCIX: http://bit.ly/1D8Lppg Amazon: http://geni.us/nvX

Budget (including currency): $1000+ Country: New Zealand Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Adobe Suite, anything at all Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): This is a cost benefit style question. Should I worry about any future upgrades. Currently have: ASUS Pro Art X570, Ryzen 9 5900X, Corsair Vengeance 64 GB CL16 3200Mhz DDR4 ram, Gigabyte GeForce 3070, 2 TB Samsung 980 Pro M.2. LaCie 4TB Raid Pro External with SD Slot Mechanical Keyboard, Shure MV7, GH5 for Webcam, Loupedeck CT ASUS Pro Art 32in Color Calibrated Monitor, LG C1 48in OLED TV, FeelWorld F6 5.7" for basic monitoring of content. I want it to be a throw anything at it and wouldn't struggle at all.

I have a G-Sync compatible monitor, which I would say it's good enough most of the time, but sometimes when my FPS drops drastically I do notice some some stutter... lag... or something. Let's say that I'm playing at 144hz then I suddenly drop to 90hz or below for a couple seconds, I feel that drop, I just don't know what to name it or how to describe it. Is that "feeling" fixed on G-Sync Ultimate / FreeSync Premium?

I play mainly overwatch, and I currently have a razer deathadder and I want to switch because this mouse is old and bad for today's standards. Which mouse should I go for? is a Zowie mouse or is the Viper Ultimate better? I've heard so many good things about both of them so I'm really on the edge on which one to get, but I see everyone at the top and in the esports scene use Zowie (like kabaji and dafran). note: The price isn't a problem since I buy a new mouse every ~2-3 years so spending 100$ or 150$ wont really hit hard. thanks, doxi.

I am an undergraduate Computer Science student from India and am planning to start a gaming lounge as a startup. I have been battling with the idea of using a server to run as a gaming rig for about 16 to 20 systems at any particular time, or just use the same number of individual PCs, for a while now. I haven't been able to decide on the specifications yet and I cannot find any good enough information out on the interweb, that is why I have come to the one place where I know this kind of stuff has been done in the past. Truth be told, I have a feeling that virtualisation at this high level probably cannot be done and I would like to reach out to the whole forum to please put forward their ideas for this unique build. I am open to all suggestions. Regards, Indie

I installed 1070 graphic card on my computer and the windows aero effect just doesn't work. i did google it and tried a lot of solutions but non of them succeeded. I tried installing the latest driver from geforce's website, installed Xtreme Graphic Engine in order to get the most up to date bios (which is F11 as for today) and firmware (21.21.13,7866 today's most up dated). I tried running the windows Aero Troubleshoot and it didn't help in any way. also reinstalling the windows didn't help (not fresh reinstall like format and install but a repair). i navigated to Services in windows and tried "stop", "play" and "Restart" under "Desktop Window Manager" option. when I plug my HDMI cable directly to the motherboard it works like magic both Windows Aero and the transparency across the board. *I did multiple restarts after each change or update. *i have Windows 7 Ultimate installed. *Graphic card driver's version is 378.66 Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hey guys, I am building a brand new Gaming and Streaming PC. I don't really have a budget but please don't go nuts. I would like to spend the least amount as possible. But in saying that I would like the best performance as possible. BTW I am in Australia so please us $AUD not $USD. And try not to use Amazon.com So here is some background on what I will be doing: I will be overclocking so a Z270 Motherboard is desirable also I would like a Liquid Cooler The core I would like is a I7-7700K (I do not want a Ryzen core as I will not be needing 8 cores) I would like only 16GB of ram The GPU I would like is a GTX 1080 (I don't really care about what model) Going back to the motherboad It does not have to be SLI capable, also I would like at least 6 fan headers I would like the PSU to be Fully Modular Also I just need a 1TB HDD and a 240GB SSD for my OS and Bootup Now Aesthetics: I don't want RGB, not really into the multi-coloured lights My colour theme is White & Green, in saying that I don't mind if the GPU is not in the colour scheme as I will most likely be getting a green Back Plate Also the HDD and SSD does not need to be coloured as I will paint them green as well Please also include White and Green Cables The case I desire is white and lots of room, so preferably a Full tower Case, enough for a large Liquid cooler and a whole lot of white and green fans. I would like the Liquid cooler to have green Liquid and white fans on the radiator Please also include 2 more green fans and 2 more white fans. Last notes: I do not want a DVD ROM player Do not include any peripherals Thanks a lot for the help. Looking forward to hearing your builds

help Ultimate Build HELP No Price Cap Just Epicness
Hydrix posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Hey guys, Ive been super stumped on what parts to buy for this one... Heres my Goal: I want to build the most overpowered PC just for the heck of it Im doing a lot of gaming, editing, and streaming but that doesnt really matter in the goal im trying to acomplish.. So i started this plan a while ago (as in years ago) and was going with a rampage V ed 10 and a pricey i7 extreme edition.. but now with AMD and Intel playing leapfrog again things are changing... So after careful consideration I want to go with a Threadripper build (1950x 16 core/32 thread) but i havent been able to choose a case or mobo or anything besides a corsair 1500W psu and ram, i bought a phanteks enthoo evolv case but it will not fit any EATX mobo that is huge so i will need a different case preferably in a similar style if possible lol Im not rich or anything but im determined and im putting every penny I earn into this project meaning there is absolutely no price cap because no matter how long it takes I will complete it lol Anyways I would really appreciate it if you guys could share some recommendations for what you think would be the most super overkill parts list (try excluding absolutely crazy stuff like liquid nitrogen also im not too good at custom water loops) but have fun with it ask any questions if you need clarification on something Thanks in advance -

I don't know which to choose. The Dark Rock Pro 3 is £20 cheaper, looks really good for a CPU Cooler but has an amazingly bad installation whereas the Cryorig R1 has a very simple installation and has slightly better performance. Hello. After several years, finally I will build my dream computer. It's use will be for heavy duty programming and deep learning on first priority, but after that for a lot of gaming, content creation and gaming as well some networking projects. those are the main parts that I finnaly getting to end up with and I wanted to take tome opinions. I don't have an infinite budget but I do plan for the BEST performance I can get for preatty much every computer operation. I'm planning on using optane memory boost, raid 10 on hdd's, a FULL custome watercooling loop that will cover efficiently the 2 gpu's,the cpu and ram and some more costume features that I'm going to show as I build the rig as well as the desk that it's going to work on,as it's gonna be unsplitable.. and you're going to see why. with that I don't mean that the rig is going to be in a desk. it's gonna be in a normal full tower case. C.P.U. : intel core i9-7980 XE G.P.U. : 2-WAY SLI WITH: ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP R.A.M.: CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 64GB (8 x 8GB) DDR4 3333 MB: GIGABYTE AORUS X299 AORUS Gaming 9 HDD: Seagate BarraCuda Pro 2TB 7200 RPM SOUND CARD: Sound blaster ZxSound Blaster ZxSound Blaster ZxSound Blaster ZxSound Blaster Zx CASE: OBSIDIAN 900D OR THERMALTAKE:The Tower 900 As you saw the theme is "SALLY & MUSTANG" and I will explain this on a future update that I will link from this post when it's gonna be done in the next month or so. I'd love to have you're opinion, your creative and powerfull ideas and any ways for a more powerfull rig. thanks!!

I'm a huge Ultimate Frisbee fan. If any of you has ever played you'll know how dirty you can get after a game, and so does the disc. To not have to put a dirty disc inside my bag I made a clip that allows you to attach a disc to the outside of your bag. As a first year engineering student I didn't have a whole lot of experience with CAD, regardless I just gave it a try anyway. The program I used was Solidworks. It's the one they teach us how to use but you could also use Fusion 360 (which is free). First I designed the "cross-section" then extruded it. Then I rendered it and tried to imagine how it'd look like irl. (emphasis on 'tried' as I had no dimensions the disc but the height, I had to estimate a lot and expected to have to improve the model a few times) I don't personally own a 3D printer so I went to 3dhubs to find someone to print it for me. Looking to buy a 3D printer at some point, open for suggestions. In the end I was pretty happy with the result. Perfect fit the first time, so glad I didn't have to go back to change the model and reprint it. The print was made of PLA, not sure whether that's the best material but the dude I contracted assured me it was just fine. I had tons of fun making this and gained a lot of experience. I'm this won't be the last project. PS: Please make a CAD/ 3D printing Forum, surely other people will also like sharing their experiences

So, I'm considering installing Windows 7 ultimate on my rig when I do my next re-install (which is long overdue), and I'm wondering: Is there anything different in setting up Windows 7 Ultimate? I've never installed it before. I've installed Enterprise a few hundred times, but that was at work, and the process is entirely automated beyond selecting a location and PC/laptop type (ready-to-assign, assigned, multi-use, etc.). I'm just wondering if there will be anything different I need to do in order to get it up and running. This rig is not in an enterprise environment, but hell I've got it and a legitimate product key so why not?

I can boot into safe mode and i have done startup repair which did not find any errors and i have done a memory test which was also fine. Does anyone know whats wrong??? Thanks

Hey, so I am making a pc for my friend and I need your advice. I already have the cpu which is an Intel core I5 6600. He isn't overclocking so stock fan will be adequit. It's a mini itx build because he got $1200 AUD and wants a good gpu. I'm gonna go give you guys a list of what I've made and please contradict me or help me to give him a great pc for the price. Also, NO AMD products AT ALL. This will be intel and Nvidia. (sorry AMD fanboys). Cool. ($1200 is basically the absolute top of his budget so if it could be lower and still good please like help me and try) THX. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/8vzYm8

Hey there, i bought an Display Unit of an Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2016 for a very low price at my local retailer. However, when i plugged it into my rig the Keyboard would just sit there and do its Wave effect and would not respond to any Keypresses. So i figured that it must be an Driver issue and have gone ahead to install Razer Synapse. Windows and Synapse both detected the Thing just fine, but it wont respond to presses. Can it be that it is stuck in some sort of Demo Mode ? And if so, how do i disable it. I tried to hold ESC + CTRL while Plugging it in but that did not work.

Hello, I am a music video director and editor and i am curently planning to build new PC workstation. I often edit RED RAW up to 8K and Blackmagic URSA MINI PRO 4,6K RAW. I also do a lot of post-production in after effects. I currently own a Synylogy RS1219+ NAS with 10GbE networking, because i want me and my colleagues to by able to access the RAW data via network. My plan is to go for: CPU: AMD Threadripper 2950X. MB: ASUS ZENITH Zenith Extreme (with the 10GbE card) RAM: ? Not sure, but about 64GB (i think 128 is still overkill) Main SSD: NVME SSD 500GB for WINDOWS and cache/temp/preview files Second SSD: NVME SSD 2TB for apps, some "in-use" project data Main storage: Synology RS1219+ RAID6 (right now with 6x10TB Ironwolf PROs) GPU: Asus RTX2080Ti (I already own this card) PSU: ? Maybe around 850W Cooling? - water? Case? - Something decent Can you please help me with choosing the right parts? RAM? PSU? Cooling? I am pretty sure about the CPU and MB. I know about Intel Optane, is there something similar for AMD? Is there something I am missing? Thanks a lot for your help!! Yeah and sorry for my english, i am from Czech Republic. BTW if you want to check out my work, go ahead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlpLcbRkR6I or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Gxb5eetRmI . Enjoy.
