I have a pair of KRK Classic 5's connected with Balanced TRS cables to an Arturia MiniFuse 1. I have an SVS SB-1000 kicking around that I want too add to the setup. I understand that studio setups typically route from Interface > Sub > monitors. However, the SB-1000 does not have balanced inputs or outputs. Is it possible to add the SB-1000 while retaining balanced audio for the monitors? I believe I could get the system to work with TS (unbalanced) to RCA cables from the interface to the sub, then another pair from the sub to the monitors. I would really like to retain balanced audio for the monitors. Could I use a pair of TRS splitters (one for L & one for R) out of the interface > balanced TRS cables (one from each splitter) to the monitors AND unbalanced TS to RCA cables to the sub (L & R channel)? Or would mixing the TS and TRS cables in the splitter make both unbalanced? Thanks in advance!

The Surface Laptop Studio is a new premium windows machine from Microsoft. Too bad they didn't make it easier to open...

Apple’s Peek Performance event is over, and now that M1 Ultra is out of the bag, we now know that Macs are getting the chiplet treatment. What does it mean for PCs? And what about the Studio Display?

Budget (including currency): $1000 Country: Indonesia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Photoshop, Premiere Pro Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Budget friendly workhorse Im looking to build a reliable studio PC. This is a work PC for my staff member, who is a content creator. Using Photoshop & Premiere Pro mainly. This is not a over the top open budget build, I want quality hardware with enough power for smooth operation. I live in Indonesia so parts and prices will differ. I have already decided on the GPU which will be GTX 2060 Knowing that can you suggest a appropriate CPU and Mobo Ram and SSD I have covered already Im a fan of Ryzen CPU's (my gaming rig is Ryzen) so I don't need an Intel. EDIT: How about these Ryzen 5700G? Apparently the integrated graphics is good enough for PS you dont need a GPU... (maybe not good enough for premiere pro though)

There is the possibility to add a "quirk" so that Mac Studio recognizes the ssd device of third-party (in order to understand what I'm talking about, just use a search engine). Obviously we are talking about theory (this technique is usually used with Linux): I not have a Mac Studio, I cannot verify it personally, and I do not intend to buy it :). Note that the "quirk" can also be added to the raspberry. Bye.

Hello all, I start all my posts like that I think^ Anyway, I have been getting more and more into recording, vlogging, and other stuff. My current setup just isn't working, I live in a roommate situation with my girlfriend so space is not my friend here. I cannot expand out of my room and already have quite a few things in there(45 gal fish tank, cali king bed, desk with 2 gaming setups and tri monitor, the second pc shares the far right monitor when I am not using it). I need advice/ideas. I want to reorganize my room, and will include Paint layouts(I'll do my best) of how it is now and do my best with scaling. I am looking for ideas on how to reorganize with editing, recording, and other things in mind. Shoot me your ideas and your setups for inspiration

Buy Surface Studio on Amazon: http://geni.us/kEA1Zpw The Surface Studio was, by far, one of the most hyped releases of 2016. Is it possible for a device almost solely aimed at creatives to live up to that hype?

So I am trying to download Visual Studio 2012 SDK (it's the one my school uses and I am familiar with it) through Microsoft Imagine (basically a program from microsoft that allows schools and their students to get ms software for free). When I download the .exe and run it, it shows this message. I tried clicking the link for help, but couldn't find my issue. Any ideas?

Hello Everyone Not quite sure if this is the right section for this topic so let me know if I need to move it but I am having some issues with my stream quality/consistency as of late and need some help. I currently have a PC with a I7 6700, GTX 1070, 32 gb ram as the main hardware parts on my rig. And my network speed is roughly 150 MBPS down and 30 MBPS upload. Any and all suggestions on OBS Studio settings to get the best quality stream would be appreciated. Thank you

Hi Folks I need help for some reason I cannot install Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 community. I downloaded a fresh installer and as soon as I click it, it crashes. For some reason it's on my programs list, I don't know why considering it hasn't been fully installed. I tried Dev C++ but that just displays a black output half the times for some reason. Any kind of help is appreciated

I have installed Visual Studio 2017 on Windows 10. I am having a couple problems with VS at the moment. First, whenever I want to close VS there's a message that pops up that says "Microsoft Visual Studio has detected that an operation is blocking user input. This can be caused by an active modal dialog or a task that needs to block user interaction. Would you like to shut down anyway?". I've been trying to solve this problem for quite some time and there seems to be no solution for this from my best friend google. I suspect this first problem is creating the next issue which is that I cannot create a new project no matter the type of project even after uninstalling, reinstalling, repairing VS, and restarting the computer this has solved nothing for either of my problems. However, my previous projects will open no problem, but I cannot edit, delete, or add new code to the opened project, which I suspect is due to the first issue I'm having. Since I cannot find any solutions I'm pretty much at a dead end.

I'm on 3rd semester at my university and up until now we were just programming on java using eclipse or netbeans, but now all of a sudden a teacher told us that if we want a 100% on her class we have to make an app for android about her class, the thing is, while learning how to use android studio I wanted to try to add values to a matrix (an array of 2 dimensions, idk how you guys call them in your countries, that's why I clarified), normally this is very simple but I don't know how to make an edit text box add or ask for another value until the matrix is full. the most I have gotten to work is a simple addition and subtraction using edit text boxes i would really appreciate some help.

Hello everyone. I am here today to ask the community's opinion on which of these two speakers offer better sound and volume. To be more specific, I plan on using these for gaming, movies, and music when I am getting ready for work or doing chores around the house. As such, I'd like to hear these from a pretty good distance. My "house" is actually a small apartment so there is only one floor and a few rooms, so really I doubt the sound won't be reach me, but I am just asking to make sure. I would rather have no other speaker suggestions, but if there are similarly prices speakers ($200.00 range), and you guys feel really strongly about them, I will definitely consider them. Thank you guys, I look forward to your responses!

So I am returning for my second year studying game design and the primary programs we use are 3DS Max and UE4. Due to "travel related trauma" my motherboards second RAM slot has just given up on life and my computer wouldn't even post if I had RAM in that slot. For the past few months I've been running with 8Gb in one slot (which is fine for gaming over the summer) but in my first year I had 16Gb across the two slots. I am wondering if I need to replace my motherboard so I can use 16Gb again or would 8Gb of RAM be enough for 3D modelling and game development in UE4, Photoshop etc. I assume it would be fine, especially since I really don't want to spend £129 on a brand new identical motherboard or around the same price for a single 16Gb stick of RAM at the same speed of my 2x8Gb. Any thoughts or whatever would be appreciated, thanks!

I've been going to a friend of mine's and using his old copy of Lightroom to do my RAW image processing. I would like to get some software of my own, but don't want to spend an outrageous amount for a permanent license or subscribe for $10 US a month. I'm really just an amateur photographer, so I don't see spending money on software I may only use once a month. What are the good, cheap alternatives to Lightroom? Everywhere I go, it lists so many, and so I don't know which really are the best overall. Once again, I'm not looking for some big professional suite. What I find myself doing most is using the brush tool to process things in small areas, as well as adjusting white balance because I never seem to get that right when I take the shot. I like Lightroom's ability to do those sorts of things easily while not being limited. I also enjoy the ability to add graduated filters and the like.

Title says the main point. These are for main studio monitors for mixing (not mastering) Edm, mainly future bass.
