Both of them sound horrible, but the HDD problem sure is more sensitive Since this forum was helpful to me I decided to post another problem I had lately A while ago I purchased an HDD 2.5 inch SATA Enclosure W/USB 3.0 and I have put an old HDD I had in it to use as external storage but something weird began happening. whenever I plug it in into the USB 3.0 port in my laptop it does certain things 1- Location is not available 2- it access it but it doesn't transfer properly + Device is Unresponsive sometimes -in the image below it started transferring but suddenly stopped and got stuck like this - in this second image it did transfer for a little while but stopped and showed an error code Note :: when I searched the code I found comments about HDD wear out , I'll talk about that later little note : yes this is my music taste lol 3- it access it and it does transfer properly - sometimes it does that at 30+ MB/s Speeds -there is a moment where it did transfer at a 200+ MB/s Speed which was almost instant so I couldn't screenshot it properly , I did try doing that again but it did reach 60+ MB/s in this image It does all three things I mentioned above while getting unplugged and re plugged randomly while connected via the port while making the device unresponsive most of the time I don't know if it is a problem within the HDD Enclosure or the port itself since It clearly does work if I plug my BT mouse dongle and other USB flash drives (I only have 2.0 USBs which is why it is hard to draw a conclusion about the 3.0 issue) Could it be because of my old HDD? and if so why does it work fine on a 2.0 USB port (Edit: when I decided to try a 2.0 port it didn't transfer properly but it didn't unplug itself randomly it was more stable than the 3.0 port but I tried another 2.0 port and it transferred my data so I decided to copy all of it to my device's SSD as a backup) if it is worn out I think it shouldn't work properly on both ports correct me if I'm wrong , I did check its health in crystaldiskinfo & tested it in crystaldiskmark and HD Tune before I bought the Enclosure in the first place , I re-checked it after I transferred my files and these are the results : I would like to know if there's a solution and if my HDD is indeed wearing out and isn't safe to store critical data then I would prefer knowing that and backing up my files elsewhere and/or buy a new one also if the 3.0 port has an issue i would like to fix that so I could transfer files at maximum speeds Thank you for reading and I hope to receive some helpful information

I recently bought a JBL Quantum 100 to use on my PC for gaming and for discord, I do not seem to make the microphone work using the splitter and plugging them into the correct pink/green ports. My audio is just fine but the mic does not seem to work whatsoever. I have tried to plug them in on both front and back headphone combos on my PC and it still doesn't work. I have tried using another splitter to no avail. Is there a way I can fix this?

Alright so I tried to see which ports twitch studio beta uses, it doesn't use TCP 1935 like RTMP, I tested it with my firewall, OBS doesn't work, but twitch studio beta does, and there seems to be no documentation about this. If you know please feel free to share.

If you've ever used a VPS, you know that it can be used as a webserver, but now I question; How does the dedicated server, that the VPS is hosted on, host a website on port 80 for all those VPS webservers? Because I have 1 public IP, and I can only set 1 port 80... Can anyone explain this a bit more to me? (Explain like I'm 5 if you can, I'm not that good at networking)

Hi guys, today I happily received my new PC. Specs: Case:MSI MAG VAMPIRIC 011C Ryzen Ed. PSU:Aerocool AERO WHITE 700 Watt (80+) Mainboard:MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI, AMD B550 Prozessor:AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6x 4.6GHz RAM:16GB DDR4-RAM PC-3200 (2x 8GB) Graphics card:Nvidia GeForce RTX3070 8GB, beliebiger Hersteller M.2 / Optane:NVME M.2 SSD 1TB Kingston A2000 Festplatte Wireless LAN:Intel Wireless-AC 3168, Bluetooth 4.2 Soundcard:7.1 AUDIO BOOST + Soundblaster Cinema Processor-Cooler:Xilence M704 (für AMD) It also has win 10 pre installed. It is a prebuilt. The problem here is that when I turned it on everything goes well, leds RGB lights of the components and the fans are running. So far so good but one thing I've noticed was that a light was shining in white. It's the dram light on the Mainboard. When it boots up then the CPU just blinks one time and then switches to the dram. I plugged my monitor in and it has no signal. It's connected via HDMI. The next problem is that when I want to plug my mouse and keyboard in the don't seem to get power. Normally they glow cause of LEDs but nothing on this PC. I've tried every USB port on this PC bot not one would work. I really want try and get the problem myself because otherwise I have to send it back because on warranty. But that is time consuming but in the end when nothing should help then I have no other way. I looked these problems up so far and I switched the ram sticks but nothing worked. Maybe u guys can help me out. If you need pictures of the PC feel free to ask but for me it looks completely fine.

Every time I plug in a USB device it works fine until... it tries to either read or send data between the device and my pc. It would disconnect for a couple of seconds and reconnect, and would cancel whatever its trying to do.

Hey, so I just built my first pc and my gpu fans and lights and everything else works. The one thing is though is that when I plug my monitor into the pc it says “No signal check ports”. I know the monitor works since it worked on my old computer. I also confirmed it was the GPU ports because I tried my old monitor too with a different HDMI and DP cable and that didn’t work either. Lastly, I also checked all of the inputs on the monitor to make sure it wasn’t that. If anyone knows a fix please comment. I have an eight year old Insignia HDTV, and I'm wondering what sound bar or home theater system I can connect to it if any at all. And if I can connect one, which one do you recommend at a reasonable price?

hi i would like to use a network folder with a friend, i know that windows share over internet isn't the most secure option, but it's for some random data (small softwares, homework...) i have opened these ports: TCP/445 TCP/139 UDP/137 UDP/138 but i can't access the folder. Can someone explain me why (if the ISP is blocking those ports, how can i use them anyway?) thank you

hi i have a server with windows server 2019 and connectify Hotspot/Dispatch PRO installed, my problem is that even if i disable the windows firewall i can remotly access the server only via LAN, if i forward a port like 22 (which is the one that i need), from external network it is not reachable, i think that the problem may be Connectify Driver but i'm not sure. Some advice? PS i have other servers that uses ports too, i have tested port 221 on another and it worked so i'm sure the problem is the Computer that i have described before

I bought LG 27UP850-W a while back to use as a second display for my laptop... I have a gaming laptop, I don't actually play games or edit stuff but my work is not light weight so I need to use the charger to unlock the full potential of the laptop and the type-c via monitor cannot do that. So what should I use? Type-C HDMI 2.0 DisplayPort 1.4 *my laptop doesn't have Display port so I will probably need a type-c to display port convertor, I don't mind buying that if that is the best option.

Hello again, Simple and maybe silly question, but those little caps that are on GPU connectors. Keep them on the ports I don't use or should I remove them because they may expand the GPU heat? I would like to keep them on because of the dust and dirt that may enter overtime.

Here's kinda where my knowledge is regarding internet/networks but I still don't understand everything enough to be confident. I know that the internet is split up into layers that are partitioned out for different uses and that my ISP ip isn't going to be my home devices IP since thats provided by my router. We probably have all seen 192.168.x.x but can you change those numbers completely? Can I change everything including the 192.168.x.x? If I change the 2nd to the last number from a 0 to 1, does that make a completely separate network in my home? I get ports are used as communication "doors" but I just don't understand why there are so many different ones (like gaming services or other communicating services) And last, Subnets. I don't understand what they are or what they do. I can watch a video on it but sometimes watching a technical video can make you go numb and find yourself reading emails when you should be listening or trying to understand. Also some of the classes I've purchased from some of the online classes, the teachers accent is so thick I have a hard time getting over that. That sounds bad but I'm being honest. I can't learn from them if I can't understand them. If anyone has any recommendations on classes, YT videos, sites, even paid classes. I would just like to understand this one step deeper. Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone I hope you all are doing well. So basically I have a problem with my front IO Ports. I just did a fresh Installation of Windows 11. I had Windows 11 on it and everything was working perfectly. So the problem is that my front IO ports (2x USB 3.0) is only working with USB Sticks. Other stuff like Mouse and Keyboards aren't working anymore on my front IO ports. In device manager I did update and reinstalling the drivers but without success. I am really lost and I would appreciate some help. Thank you everybody and I hope you guys can enjoy the Christmas time. Hi, I am thinking of getting an RTX 2070 Super and I was wondering which model to get? I have been looking at the: - MSI RTX 2070 Super Gaming X Trio - it is too big for my case - MSI RTX 2070 Super Gaming X - cheaper, but only 2 fans compared to the others, with 3. - Gigabyte Aorus RTX 2070 Super- heard reviews saying that the rgb / fans died. - ASUS ROG RTX 2070 Super OC - quite expensive, but if it is the best one, I'll get it. Which one do you think I should get? If you think of another, it requires to have 3 display ports. - 2 for monitors and 1 for Oculus Rift-S. Thanks. :)

I'm looking to get a USB hub to give my B550 Gaming Edge a few more ports. I'm fine on ports now, but plan to grab a VR headset later this year, a potentially a DAC/AMP, not sure yet. Either way, the B550 Gaming Edge has a rear USB C port, as well as one for my p500a case. I was originally looking at USB3 hubs, but given that I have nothing to plug into the rear USB C, I think that makes a lot more sense to use. Devices Logitech C920 Webcam Blue Yeti Microphone Corsair K95 RGB Platinum Keyboard (Has USB Passthrough if I use up 2 ports instead of 1) Cakewalk UA-1G (appears to be very simple, USB 1.1 audio interface for my synth keyboard) Mouse Potential Devices VR Headset DAC/AMP A better audio interface (still not sure if these are bandwidth or power hungry, at all) *would REPLACE above audio interface USB bluetooth dongle (if onboard doesn't suffice, like various reviews suggest could happen) Bluetooth Mouse *would free up the mouse slot Again, I have 5 USB on the rear, 2 USB on the case, 1 USB C on the rear. Here are the two I was looking into, based off of looking at far too many reviews of too many products: Sabrent USB Anker USB-C The Anker gets power via USB-C, where as the Sabrent has it's own power adaptor. I'd definitely give the more power / bandwidth hungry devices a dedicated port on the rear IO, and use the lesser-demanding devices on the hub. I honestly only need 3-4 more ports max, I just figured I'd pay a bit more to have more and the charging slots if I was going to buy one any. So on that note, act as if both devices are identical in price, and money doesn't matter, I just want a reliable hub. Any advice on which of these to get, or something I haven't seen yet, would be greatly appreciated!

I've tried two different cables and the device manager screen is still constantly refreshing. I know for a fact its the Ethernet Cable, or the Ethernet Ports doing it because it stops refreshing as soon as I unplug the cable. What the hell is the deal here?

I recently just built my first PC and the graphics card is having issues. I have one HDMI port hooked up to my monitor and all is fine but when I try to hook up my TV to the other HDMI port the PC will not turn off completely. I unplugged the power cord to the PC but the lights are all still on the fans twitch until I unplug the TV's HDMI cord.
