Hi all, I switched to Outlook mobile, but the problem is it's not loading folders. I have like 20 folders, the app only shows 4-5 and it's not even loading them until I directly go in them and refresh. I tried on different devices, tried to reinstall the app, tried to reset my account, nothing worked. Anyone has any idea? Because at this state it's unusable. Thank you in advance!

Good day, I have an odd question. I'm looking for a legal way of installing office on multiple machines without paying for a licence, - hear me out: I'm an application specialist scripting automated liquid handlers (not a programmer, but have to deal with some programming. The software we use needs some APIs or DLLs from the office suite but doesn't need to open and edit files. So the plan is to install Office, but not activate it. The only way I know of doing this is by logging in with an account, giving them my credit card details and then cancelling. I would like to avoid giving them my credit card details for client machines. Any ideas? Thanks.

Anyone recommend an alternative to Altwork Signature Station? This thing looks amazing but it's $8,000. I really want a multi mode office chair (recline, firm upright position, etc) with built in keyboard stand. Is it generally accepted that recliner types don't offer the support for long hour upright work mode?

I have seen in several videos that LTT members use google docs. What advantage do they have? I personally only used google docs for school, for my other chores I prefer to use onlyoffice (also libreoffice) or since I go to university I've been using the office package for free as a student. In my opinion google docs is useful for those who have to make several people work on the same document, thanks to the functionality of the drive, but when I was studying it was inconvenient for me to have an internet connection in order to access all the documents. What do you think? Have they ever explained why they use google workspace? Also, if I don't remember well or I dreamed it, tell me

For my fellow Microsoft System administrators; Anyone else having issues where Microsoft is forcing application based MFA on Exchange Online/Kiosk licensed users, even for users who already use the SMS/call MFA feature enforced in the admin center? It's been an optional 'skip this' recommendation for Microsoft 365 Business Standard licenses but is now forced upon Outlook only type licenses. I've had it happen now on three separate accounts, all having the basic Outlook only type license. This is even with MFA disabled from the admin center, so it's being enforced outside of that system. Even if you add the authenticator, remove it, then go to sign back in, it'll reinvoke the MFA requirement specifically for an authenticator app. Mind you, this is while having SMS/call MFA enabled and working and is being asked after properly authenticating via that method. Several of the employees don't want "another application on their phone" and spending another $100/year per license for Business Standard on accounts that don't need it (that only for now appears optional) isn't a good long-term solution. The problem I've had is tracking down when/where/how this was announced publicly for what appears to be a requirement now. The only information I've gotten is an email from a company we work with on some cyber-security aspects with the following: Anyone know of any direct confirmation of this authenticator application requirement and what licenses are affected? I'd really like to not make a support ticket with Microsoft, so I'm wondering if anyone in the community has seen and/or knows about this issue. What my worry is regarding the other licensing and if this feature no longer becomes 'skippable', where some of those employees are crucial to the business and would genuinely "rather quit than have that extra layer, no cap.

Hello fellow tech enthusiasts, I'm currently pursuing a degree in IT and have stumbled upon a vexing problem that I'm hoping someone can help with. Here's a rundown of my situation: Operating System: I'm using the latest version of Windows 10 Enterprise. The default display language is set to English (World) because it aids me when troubleshooting issues or finding specific settings. Software: I have Office 365 installed. The Challenge: My native language is Dutch, and while I prefer my system's interface to be in English, I need the spell check within Office applications, especially Word and Outlook, to default to Dutch. I've tried removing other languages in Office, retaining only Dutch, but to no avail. Whenever I compose an email, by default, the spell check indicates errors as if I'm writing in English. Even when I manually change the language setting within the email to Dutch and select the entire content, any subsequent text I type still reverts back to English spell check. Surely, it's feasible to run Windows in English and yet have the spell check default to Dutch, right? If anyone has encountered this issue and found a solution, or if someone knows the correct configuration to achieve this, I'd be immensely grateful for your assistance. Thank you in advance!

Hello everyone, new to the forums here. I have to admit I might be out of my wheel house here, my family has a fertilizer company in Mexico and are building a new factory. I dumbly admittedly boasted that I could take are of all the networking side of things along with installing the security cameras and such. Im no expert and don't intend on pretending that I completely know what I am doing. I do have pretty good knowledge on moderate networking. I ordered a bunch of stuff along with security cameras and a NAS that is meant to run the security IP cameras. I made a network topology map that is sort of supposed to explain what I plan on doing. We will be handling a bunch of important information and was looking at the only option that I have for purchase here in Mexico is either a firewall from TPLINK ER7206, and a FORTINET system with a licensing thing. I'm fine with paying extra for the added security if you guys think it's worth it. I will attach the things that I have bought so far and the map (really ugly drawn in a free app) and I would appreciate ANY comment to help me out. Just to see if I'm sorta on the right track or if I'm going to completely derail the whole company and have spent a whole bunch of money for nothing. Using CAT6+ for everything and Fiber to connect in between buildings, there's 3 main buildings. The main office where internet is going to be coming from (has to be Starlink, no other providers that far out of the city), a security office about 100 Meters away from the office that will be connecting 4 cameras in that given switch, and a switch in the main production building that is also connected by Fiber that is about 150 meters away from the office. Anyway thanks in advance for any help. p.s. the pictures with the orders are in Spanish but they give a pretty good explanation of what it is and its SKU´s. (sorry)

Light, camera, action! But how to use the light? Hiya! I work from home full time, and unfortunately spend a lot of time in calls. While the vast majority of the people I have calls with won't expect or care for a "good quality image" - I do! I take pride in simple things like that, and have tried to have a good setup going on for a while now. I just can't seem to get the lighting tuned in right. It looks 'ok' these days, but the recent LTT video of youtuber pc setups made me question my lighting positions/usage (specifically when someone was called out for having a Key light aimed at the wall). I'm hoping that someone might have some good tips for me, as my google-fu has failed me so far. So this is what I'm working with in my office. - Small room / positioned myself in the corner. - Window just to the left of me and just above me. - Elgato lighting strip around desk (mostly for show :D) - Elgato keylight aimed at wall - Logitech C920 camera If I aim the elgato keylight at me I generally find it too bright to comfortably look at my screen/camera, even if the brightness is dropped down, perhaps it's just in the wrong place and should not be in front of me? I know the camera is pretty basic, but it is what I have. I certainly could upgrade if there is something out that that would be sure to fix it all. I'm not a streamer, just like nice things and do my job efficiently (hence the setup/tools). I keep the blinds closed when I am on camera as the non-natural lighting (fixed light form keylight) generally makes a big difference to not make me look like an alien. Picture for reference: Camera at the top of my monitor. Elgato Keylight in the middle at the back, aimed up (as I thought that worked best) Windows to the side and above me. Not relevant but in case people are wondering - I just got into VR with a Quest2 - so have that cable dangling there for the Link cable. I could have unhooked them to tidy them away - but did not. /shrug - Bed in my office? Madness! - Yes it is. Spare bed in case we have visitors, flipped it sideways (used ratchet straps on the mattress to prevent it from falling down) to a bit more space. Am going to build a fold-away bed on the wall there. - Waifu's!?. Yes. WFH perk, they keep my anger at bay and sanity at a reasonable level in my line of work. - 4 monitors? Yeah, I love it. have all 4 connected to work pc, can't imagine having less real estate space for everything. Only the 2 main (curved) monitors are connected to my home pc. 1 set of peripherals, go through a USB hub and USB switch. - That monitor arm there looks a bit tilted... Yes it does! Not a weight thing, a "DOH!!" thing. They are drilled into a frame I made, I derped and did not check if it was level before drilling it. Will fix that at some point, it just looks wrong (but is fine) - Nice chair! Thanks, getting a bit old unfortunately, it's wearing.

I work at a CPA firm in the US. My boss is finally ready to bite the bullet and upgrade the many mismatched monitors in our office. I'd like to see us go with something at least 1440P and they need to be Vesa compatible (going to be mounting all of them on arms to get everyone more desk space). Above 90hz refresh rate would also be nice and we have a lot of windows in our office so for the sake of everyones eyesight a good non-reflective coating is an absolute must. Built in speakers would be great too since we do a lot of stuff over Teams and speakers just get in the way given how cluttered our desks tend to get. We would be buying at least six monitors to start so anything over $350 per unit would be pushing it. Color accuracy and text clarity are probably whats most important and 27" with good peak brightness are what I'm shooting for. I suppose I should mention we're all currently running Windows 10 Pro using Dell Inspiron 3668's but those will be upgraded next. What have you used recently for work thats performed well?

Hi, My partner and I have recently moved to a temporary office space while our house is being renovated and we're having loads of trouble with our headphones whilst both on video calls. I have had meetings with clients where they've had to ask me to stop speaking as they can so clearly hear myself and my husband speaking at the same time. I'm really worried because we are building a shared office at home and if we can't both work in the same space it's pointless. Frustratingly when i go into my work's actual office there are loads more of us in one space but it doesn't seem to be as much of an issue. I think it could be because my headphones are trying to be smart and many voices is background noise and 1 additional single voice they try to hone in on?? I currently use Google pixel buds, but have previously had issues with my bose headphones which are very highly rated for noise cancelling. Are there any headphones which can help with this? I was thinking headphones with a physical microphone in front of my mouth might help? I can't seem to find much help online; most headphones advertise noise suppression/ cancelling but i think that's more about what i can hear, rather than the people on the other end. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi! I'm currently looking for ways to upgrade my router, and I'm a total newbie on this My office is currently under 800mbps internet speed. There's been an issue that if there's too many devices connect to the wifi, people will start having trouble to connect to the wifi. I been looking into this myself, and from what I understand, does upgrading my router to Wifi 6 router help? (ASUS RT-AX3000) I'm totally confused by these and would appreciate if there's any suggestion, because I don't really want to spend money on wifi 6 router and ended up not working . Thank you!!

Hi, I have a requirement of just installing excel 2016 64 bit. So far I have only been bumping into Office suites which offers no option to select only Excel and installs all office packages in it. In these installations theres no option to uninstall unwanted packages individually as well. so if anyone know please do give me some lead. Thanks.

There was a small incident. I bought the recently released MacBook Air on M1 by first googling whether it supports Microsoft's office. I saw that there is an office and everything is fine, but only after a while I realized that this office is stripped down, there are only basic things like PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc. I understand that there was never Microsoft Access on the Mac, it is exclusively on Windows and it is not a problem for me to download parallels and install Windows on it and I will run access through it, but the question torments me and I just can't find the answer. Of course, an ARM chip needs a Windows that works on the arm architecture, and yes, there is one, but does the Microsoft Access work on it?

I'm getting a new laptop, but I'm not keen to pay so much for a MS office license (Office Home & Business 2019 which includes outlook). Any suggestions on options to get it cheaper? not keen on the Microsoft 365, I don't like the subscription model. But yeah, there are students in my house. I'd prefer to pay once to get the software.

Hi All, I'm trying to decide between getting an android tablet or a Chromebook for my mom, whose primary need for the device will be taking online classes, doing her other teaching duties using MS office(primarily word and excel) and entertainment. I wanted to know if anyone has experience using mostly the MS word and Excel apps full time on either Android, or via office web on Chromebook(now that MS has stopped support for the Android apps on the chromebook) i know that the feature gap is big between the full windows desktop apps and the options mentioned above, however, i wanted to compare these two because the budget i have for this device is a little tight, and i know that buying a cheap windows laptop wont help at all with the performance. The price gap between the tablets and the Chromebooks we're looking at in not very different, and i will buy a BT mouse and keyboard if we go for a tablet. Also, anything else to note about the Chromebook experience would be nice! Thank you so much!

Hey peeps, Moved into a new home a couple of days ago, finally getting started on my office, sadly my old super cheap RGB strip died so I'm looking for a decent affordable strip. Preferably with an APP and more options in the future to expand with. (I tried Philips hue but the expanding on a single lamp is already a huge cost with all of those hubs) Feel free to drop some links. I already checked some out but most youtube/ internet recommendations are US based, I'm in western europe so most of those recommendations are waay to expensive or unobtainable for me.

Dear Friends, I have a small office with 8 - 10 members working on the same place with a 50Mbps Download and 15Mbps-ish Upload that are distributed with the ISP basic modem/wifi router combo ( Huwawei EG8141A5 ). We are experiencing a slow connection when multiple devices joins the network, a lot of packet drops and / or a slow transmit issue when all of us using the network. Ping: 68.904 ms Testing download speed................................................................................ Download: 18.51 Mbit/s Testing upload speed...................................................................................................... Upload: 13.75 Mbit/s Mind you that the result of the test is conducted with all of the member currently working ( Browsing for footage such as videos, images, emails, music streaming, etc ) When some of us are in the middle of online meetings, we experiences a bad call quality such as pixelated video / bad voice quality through out the meetings. Currently we have 8 - 10 Laptops that are connected via WiFi ( 2.4 Ghz ), plus mobile phones ( another 8 - 10 ) , in total 20+ devices that are connected simultaneously. Do you have any suggestions on Wifi Router that are suited for this type of usages? Currently i have TP-Link Archer C80 AC1900 Wifi Router TpLink Archer C80 C 80 / TP-Link Archer C7 TPLink AC1750 WiFi Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router in mind. The plan is to plug the new device , and turn of the wifi from the modem/wifi combo, and transmit the wifi from the new Wifi device ( TP-Link ) Thank you in Advanced. If you need more details, please let me know, i will provide it

i am curious if i can get advice on a network upgrade. current network is using a D-link 1024D for a small office with VoIP and multiple computers, but it has started to become slow as we have maxed out all the 1gb ports with computers and switches. looking at getting the ubiquity switch pro 48 PoE to upgrade and allow for expand-ability. the biggest thing we want is to have 10gb Ethernet, so can i use the SFP+ slots to wire in the main server? upgrades for the office Intel x550-t2 (https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/88209/intel-ethernet-converged-network-adapter-x550t2.html) Switch Pro 48 PoE (https://store.ui.com/collections/unifi-network-switching/products/usw-pro-48-poe)

Budget (including currency): $700-1000 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CADlink Signlab, office work, and maybe other light 3D work in future So I need something for the business I work for. Our current pc we use to design vinyl prints and sign structures is pretty slow and does not handle the workload well. I have been tasked with buying and building the pc because I'm the only one who know how, however I'm not really sure what to use as i usually build gaming pcs and not workstations. like what kind of motherboard should use for intel or amd and how much ram should I get (i'm thinking 32GB) This is what I'm looking at using https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XcfM8r

So I tried to install Office 365 on Ubuntu 21.04 today via Wine (because Microsoft was too lazy to publish a Linux version of Office 365 and Windows 11 sucks, but I still need files on OneDrive), but every time when I try to run OfficeSetup.exe (no matter by $ wine /home/username/Downloads/OfficeSetup.exe or $ wine explorer.exe then run OfficeSetup.exe), it always fails and shows this window: Complete screenshot: Is anyone here able to tell me what happened and how to solve it? So i will be installing a thunderbolt 4 card in my PERSONAL RIG 2021 (i had to xD), because my case is a inwin 915 which is beautiful but getting access to the rear IO is a pain in the A##. So i have been looking around and i love the look of the Corsair thunderbolt 3 dock they just released, But the cal digit dock (the one Linus uses) looks more practical ( I have not started doing research into the exact specs of the two to compare). I am not limiting myself to just those 2 brands so i am open to any suggestions. But i wanted to know from my fellow techies what every one thinks is the best thunderbolt dock ?
