  1. Hello, I'm planning to switch over to an AIO, but I was wondering if it is possible to mount a 360mm AIO in the top of my case? I know it fits in the side but I don't want to push hot air into my system. Is it possible to fit 3 fans on either side of a 360mm radiator in the top of the Lian Li PC-011 D XL? Thanks a lot
  2. My goal for posting this is two things: 1.Not to heavily modify the case (ie. cut new holes for fan mounts) as I live in an apartment and don't have the setup for it 2. No water cooling and to Find fans that'll fit in the spacial limitations without causing my PC to Thermal throttle even if it means using a little louder air coolers or purchasing a higher watt SFX Power supply. Attached below is a couple of Images displaying my thermal limitations of my non-overclocked build's Core Temp thermal information both when idle and under Prime95 synthetic load for 8 minutes with the CPU side panel off. My cooler for this PC with the synthetic load was a combination of both the stock 120mm fan in front and the Thermaltake Engine 27 9.2 CFM CPU Cooler listed in my PC Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DcMkrV Please be aware a month after this PC was built Lian LI released the Larger TU150 Case, a predecessor to the TU-100 and have since gone out, purchased it, made the swap and added the LTT NH-U12s CPU cooler. When running the same synthetic benchmark in the newer setup I've been able to hit 3.87-3.98ghz at 88 degrees on all cores in the larger case so I know there is more Ryzen performance potential I could be getting out of the smaller TU-100 case. However,I am not happy with it and would prefer to switch back to the smaller case. I love the "wow" factor of a smaller case and would love to be able to get back to it, and even add an internal Blue Ray Drive. To be transparent I did purchase (and kept) the NF-F12 iPPC fan but was never sure if it would be enough of a performance increase over the stock fan, and more importantly, did not have the heart to ask my friend to help me with the swap a third time. Please be aware my motherboard does support LGA115X CPU coolers and NOT a typical Ryzen Cooler. Thank you to the community for your help!!! I understand this is a long post but I really tried my best as thorough as possible. This is my first post so please go easy on me :-). Thank you.
  3. Here is the specs to my current Rig: AMD Rzyen 1700 Asus X370 Crosshair VI Trident Z G.skill 32 gb RGB Asus vega 64 Asus ryujin 360 Asus Soar Sound car Samsung Evo 860 nvme Sandisk 1tb ssd and 2 more tb of mech HDDs Case Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic razer edition 3x lian li bora rgb fans. Now my issue and I've been trying to research this but can't find much of anything is that, the lian li fans are 3 pin argb controlled. But obviously my asus mobo, has a 4 pin rgb, is there any way of getting the lian li fans to be controller thru the mobo via the razer synape software or am I SOL and stuck to using the remote that lian li included with their fans? I've tried the Deepcool rgb controller but that just made the RGB flip out hard and the software couldn't even see them.
  4. Disclaimer i will not be held responsible for any damages and im not a professional do it at your own risk. well this is a pin out guide for corsair, lianli, bykski, barrow, thermaltake, nzxt, and aquacomputer. hopefully i got the pins right. i have bought nzxt and thermaltake argb controllers and cooler master rgb and argb controllers to figgout how the pin out works. your welcome! soon i want to get aquacomputer argb but cant seem to find a good deal... also ek argb controller looks interesting too but i think it uses standard connectors and asus controller well its just down right expensive... because asus. my any thing rgb links lian li: uses a 3pin jst-sm connector byksk:Jst 2.0 PH 4pin to 2+1 3pin argb connector ( some of there stuff come with an adapter to go from byksk to 3pin argb connector. you can also buy the adapter cable by it self. also there a big and small hub) barrow: uses a stander 3pin fan connector thermaltake: standard 9 pin(10pin) internal usb header 5pin internal usb header will work too depending on if you want the argb or fan. (i be-leave that Dupont will fit as well think the pinds are the same size) NZXT: (i think it uses jst 2.0 ph connectors) Aquacomputer:don't no yet corsair: connectors uses 3pin and 4 pin connectors. they are called many names so its hard to look up. each web site might innovatory it with there own name and model number so. aslo there a company called molex (not to confuse with the molex we all no on the psu) that has the patent to the "corsair" connector 2.54-03-FH 2543 MOLEX 2.54mm MX2.54 Dupont Belt Buckle 2.54mm JCORSAIR1 (this is what corsair calls there mb pcb mount header if your mb has an corsair connector...) Molex 50-57-9403 3pin male Molex 70107-0002 3pin female Molex 50-57-9404 4pin male Molex 70107-0003 4pin female locking Dupont my other post about corsair connectors: other custom corsair cables: My source for making the corsair master guide based off of connectors and cables: argb nzxt hue 2 4pin to 3pin 5v guide Coolman pin out guide Master Barrow, Bykski, Lian li, Corsair connector pin out guide: (things to add are aqua computer, thermaltake, nzxt)
  5. Hi , planning to move my build to a small portable case , can you guys suggest me one? Along with the psu that will fit it? I’m planning to use the same components except for the psu. Current specs: Asrock A320m hdv R4.0 asus rog rx 570 coolermaster master watt 550W fury X ddr4 8gb 512gb SSD western digital thanks!
  6. Hi, I'm planning on building an air cooled, would a Noctua NHD-15 fit inside a Lian Li 011D XL case? On Lian Li's website it says the case (O11D non XL) has 167mm of cpu cooler clearance, the NDH-15 is 165mm tall. Is this too tight? Or can I presume the XL would have more cpu cooler space? Thanks in advance!
  7. So, I'm looking at building a new PC. Have been for a while. I want to make sure everything will fit without a problem. This is the build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/jmich96/saved/9W9t8d - Will the NH-D15 fit with both fans, with the RAM installed? - Will I be able to fit 15mm (slim) fans under the GPU? - Is the NF-S12A or the NF-F12 optimal for the rear exhaust fan? Also, the motherboard (as all my reasonably priced options) only has 1 fan header available for a case fan. I'm only left an option to install a fan hub. Is the fan hub in my part list optimal? Can someone link me a smaller (but still reliable) PWM fan hub? I'd really like one I could mount on the rear side of my case, where it is unseen, and plug it into the bottom (not CPU) fan header.
  8. Hey everyone! Don't know how many of you need this, but I figured I'd post here in case someone out there runs into a similar situation as I did. I have the Corsair SF600 and a little over a year ago, the fan started to make a horrible grinding noise. I didn't want to take the fan apart to try to figure out the source because the fan noise was a little too much for me to begin with, even before the grinding sound. So as a temporary solution, because I didn't want to shell out money for a new SFX psu or replace the fan with a brown and ivory Noctua NF-A9x14, I removed the Corsair fan, popped a 92mm BeQuiet fan on top of the SF600, and connected it to the CPU fan header on my motherboard. In terms of noise and temps, this solution worked very well, but because the clearance between the tempered glass and the BeQuiet fan was so tight in the Lian Li PC-O5SX, I opted to do without the tempered glass until I found a more permanent solution... That permanent solution was the Noctua NF-A9x14 HS-PWM chromax.black.swap! Noctua sneakily released the chromax version of the NF-A9x14 back in November 2019 and I had no idea they were even a thing until I checked randomly late last Friday night. I was waiting forever for Noctua to release this exact fan so I immediately ordered it directly from Noctua's ebay page. They shipped from Austria to New York in just 3.5 business days, even with all the crazy shipping delays happening in New York because of the coronavirus, how awesome is that?! Anyways, I was finally able to ditch the BeQuiet fan and replaced it with the NF-A9x14 chromax fan and it fit inside the SF600 like a glove! I still plugged it into the CPU fan header though because I was not trying to splice and solder the SF600 fan connection to the Noctua fan...especially because I read on another forum that the Noctua fan may not spin up until the psu is under a heavier load, which I prefer not to happen...But now, after over a year of looking pretty janky, I was finally able to put the tempered glass side panel back on and my SF600 is cool and whisper quiet thanks to Noctua. Before and after pics below! TL;DR: You can replace your Corsair SF series power supply fan with the Noctua NF-A9x14 HS-PWM chromax.black.swap. You may want to do this even if the fan isn't broken for the aesthetic and wayyy quieter fan
  9. Hi guys, so i'm quite confused what is the difference between Lian Li O11D and Lian Li O11D XL. Other than the 2 extra usb 3.0 ports at the front for Lian li O11D XL, what more?
  10. Hi guys, so i'm planning to build a gaming pc. The gaming pc's case is Lian Li 011D XL or 011D and with a motherboard Asus Tuf Gaming X570-plus (wifi). There are some ports at the front of the case and I'm just wondering if it fits or the motherboard can completely make use of the usb ports infront. As in are there enough usb ports in the motherboard for the Case to connect to? Wish to hear your response, thank you. Lian Li 011D: USB3.0 x2 , HD Audio USB3.1 Type-C x1 , HD Audio Lian Li 011D XL: 4 X USB 3.0 (2 on the front, 2 at the front case feet), 1 X USB 3.1 TYPE-C, 1 X HD AUDIO Motherboard: Idk how to read, sorry bought that. https://www.asus.com/sg/Motherboards/TUF-GAMING-X570-PLUS-WI-FI/specifications/ 1st question:) I'm wondering if my Asus tuf gaming x570-plus (wifi) motherboard has enough usb ports internal for the case to connect to? 2nd question:) Can someone teach me how do i read why are they writing USB Ports, Back I/O Ports and Internal I/O Ports? Thanks!
  11. Heya guys, Not sure if anyone was waiting for it, but the last time I heard, Lian-Li's new Unifan design was supposed to come out "Q2 2020." That was last reported in CES this january before COVID really took off over at their factory area. So I though, hey, why not send a message and see if they would tell me either an updated release window or maybe even a date. You can read the correspondence below, but spoiler alert, they said release window is now Q3 2020 and that they were at 100% at the factories. Message sent to them Hello, I have searched online about any information regarding the release date of your uni-fan concept last shown at CES 2020, and the last information heard was Q2 of 2020. Now that we are entering Q2, considering the increased impact of COVID-19 to most factories and distribution, is that still so? Also, if you are able to share at this time, a more narrow release window? Thank you kindly for your time and any information you are able to share. Sincerely, *REDACTED* ---------- Reply back from them Hello *REDACTED*, Uni-fan is the new product that will be launched in Q3 J Our factory in China affected by COVID-19 in Feb. But we already back to work with 100% capacity in the middle of March J Thanks! Best Regards, Sandy Chen TEL: *REDACTED* FAX: *REDACTED* Skype: *REDACTED* www.lian-li.com
  12. So this is my first ever PC build I've ever been able to put together. Over the years I have owned various computers where i either installed a graphics card or I bought a laptop with gaming capability. I've been gaming since I was 10 or so my first real PC game I played was called G-NOME which was a Mechwarrior like game that came with my grandma's windows 95 PC. I've waited so many years to finally build my rig. I think i did alright for my First PC My build list is: PC: Lian Li Razer designed case Gigabyte X 570 Gaming X mobo Ryzen 7 3700X 8 core processor Power Color AMD Radeon Rx 5700 XT GPU 32 GB 3200 MHz Ram tiergrade 7 port USB 3.0 expansion card 6 thermaltake RGB Plus 12 Fans(razer chroma connect enabled of course) Peripherals: 1 LG 144hz HDR gaming monitor 2 25 inch ultra wide monitors(had these a number of years now) Razer Huntsman Elite Ultimate Razer Basilisk V2 wired Razer Naga Chroma Razer Orbweaver Chroma Razer Goliathus Chroma Razer Firefily Razer Wolverine Ultimate controller Razer Nari Elite Razer Base station Chroma
  13. Hi everyone! I am looking to upgrade my pc case from the NZXT h440 to something a bit more modern. I am open to sugestions but am kind of thinking the Corsair Obsidian 500d RBG SE or the Lian-li PC O11 Dynamic or the Phantex Evolv X. I would love to hear you opinions. Curently I am leaning towards the Evolv X because I like the idea of the dual pc mini itx mount. Thanks!
  14. Hi all! So I'm finishing up a build in a Dynamic XL and need advice on a "strange" fan config I was planning. I'm going aircooling with a Noctua d15s and the following casefans: 3 fans bottom intake 3 fans side exhaust 3 fans top intake So I know most people would say exhaust should be top of the case but I'm curious if there would be any issues with this setup? I'm not a "fan" (pun intended sorry...) of having the middle fans as intakes. Isn't the distance between the middle fan mount and the back of the case to large to be sure that the airflow will be directed through to fanfilter there? Or am I overthinking this? I'm aiming for possitive air preassure in the case to reduce dust buildup. Cheers!
  15. I'm gonna be ripping out all my watercooling and moving my PC into another case for air cooling and I want some suggestions for airflow config. I'm going to be using the Lian Li O11 Dynamic and I know that I'm definitely going to have 3 intake on the bottom and 3 exhaust on the top, but I'm not sure about the side setup. So at first I was going to have a 360 AIO on the side and pull intake but I realized that my LL120 fans will be facing away which I don't want because the fans in that position are the most visible. Instead I'm deciding to do AIO and push exhaust on the side so that I could still have the AIO on the side and show the nice side of the fans. In THIS part of HardwareCanucks' "9 fans in O11 Dynamic" video, the difference between using exhaust and intake for the side AIO isn't much of a difference so I think this will be okay. Also, since the bottom fans of the case will be blowing straight into the GPU, would it be a smart decision to vertical mount the GPU so that the air could get past? Basically I want to know if my fan config idea is a good setup, and if vertical mounting would be a good idea here. All help is much appreciated :).

  18. I recently purchased a snowblind element (case only) for a pc that I am building. After some research I started to wonder about the airflow of the case because it seems to share some characteristics of the NZXT h500. I purchased a NZXT kraken x62 for the front intake and eventually I'll buy some rear exhaust fans. I'll be running a ryzen 3900x with Nvidia's new 3000 series (when they come out) or the new Navi cards that are supposed to come out sometime in 2020. Will the snowblind provide enough airflow for regular use and/or potential OCing? Or should I go for something like a Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL instead? I know the h500 isn't a terrible case for airflow but with the amount of heat that I will potentially have, I was a bit concerned. (This is my first post).
  19. Hi there! I wanted to push this project back into later this year but thanks to some killer deals I just had to go for it. I'm hauling my rig to a local LAN party at least twice a year and since it's been quite uncomfortable with a large and heavy case, I've been looking for an alternative to size everything down and make it easy to transport. It's the second time I'm building a water cooled computer and I've mostly reused my previous parts. Starting with the current specs: Water Cooling Loop: MO-RA3 420LT 5x Corsair ML 140 PRO blue 4x Corsair ML 140 PRO grey EKWB D5 Plexi top EK Duraclear tubing EK RES X4 140mm spider mount Fittings & drainage C6H Monoblock Alphacool GPU block 2x Aquacomputer Splitty9 Cable extensions by Phobya & Bitfenix System components: Ryzen7 1700X Asus C6H 32GB Gskill TridentZ 3200MHz KFA2 GTX 1080 HOF 2x WD blue 1TB 2 Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD 1 Crucial MX100 125GB SSD BQ DPP 1000W PSU Bitfenix cable set 2 Bitfenix RGB LED Strips 2x Noctua NF-F12 Lian Li PC-O7SX Here is the old rig: It was an EKWB/Alphacool custom loop in a TT W100 The side panel has been replaced by real glass. The case is almost impossible to move for me because it is so heavy and I'm rather short The previous loop had 2 560mm radiators, cooling a 1700X @ ~3820MHz and a GTX 1080. The goal was a very quiet system that would allow for a multiGPU upgrade. The plan was to split the system into two pieces and connect them via extension cables and quick disconnects to make transportation easier. I started with the MO-RA3 420 LT and drilled two holes into the adapter plate to mount my current reservoir, the EK RES X4. I also had 4 Corsair ML PRO fans sitting on the old rads. They're really nice fans so I'll keep using them. Just had to get one extra as the MO-RA3 has 9 slots... With the pump and res mounted to the radiator and two Aquacomputer Splitty9 fan hubs stuck to the side using Velcro the assembly is basically done Some 50 cable ties later it looked somewhat acceptable... I don't have the tools, experience or confidence to make my own cables, but after this project it's definately something I have to get down. Managing the cables was a pain and it turned out so much worse than it could have. With the radiator and pumping station complete it was time to move on to the system itself. The new case is a Lian Li PC-07 I've fallen in love with this case the first time I saw it and I always wanted a case like that. It's insanely light thanks to the alu body and the finish is just amazing. In goes the C6H. Most of the IO cables are squished between the board and the midplate to keep the area underneath the board as clean as possible since I still need to fit a wider-than-usual GPU in there. At this point I realized I should have gone with the angled fittings. Cable management is not very easy in this case because there are almost no tie-down points on the back. I used the Slim CD drive mounting holes to attach some of the cables and then zip-tied all the others to those. Getting kinda messy everywhere. Sorry! The next day. Testing the Alphacool quick disconnects and adjusting some cables to fit as nicely as possible. I used velcro straps to attach the cables to one of the tubes so I can move and connect everything in a somewhat clean manner. You'll probably lose about a drop of liquid when disconnecting these but overall I'm very happy with them. Plus the "PUSH>>>" markings happen to indicate the direction of the water flow, too The only thing I don't like about the build right now is the tubing from the monoblock to the GPU because of the location of the inlet port on the block. This causes the PCIe riser cable to have a slight bend at the end Here are some pictures of the finished build as it looks at the time of writing this: Here is the battlestation itself. Needs more cable management when the lights are on. Plans for future improvements include a flow indicator and water temp sensor.
  20. HI Whenever I try and sync my lian li strimmer cables, the rgb just scatters throughout the cables and no sync is made, then calibrated on rgb fusion, non of the colours change either. plz help
  21. Does the Kraken X72 360mm AIO watercooler radiator fit in this case on the side? https://www.amazon.com/Lian-Li-PC-O11DW-Tempered-Computer/dp/B07F9TC5W7/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=lian%2Bli&qid=1573247434&sr=8-1&th=1 There are 2 form factors of this case, one in full tower and the second one in Mid tower, but I am looking for the full tower. Anyways, I would like to know for both form factors whether each one has the capabilities of containing the Kraken X72 360mm AIO watercooler radiator on the side. I know that it fits of the top of the case, but my real question is: Does it fit on the side? (Because I have read online that only certain thicknesses of radiators will be capable of being installed in the side compartment of the case, whether it is a Mid Tower or a Full Tower of the same company case name, which is Lian Li).
  22. I'm gonna be remove my custom hardline loop around this December and go back to air cooling and wanted to switch my case too. I was looking at high airflow cases and the one that interested me the most was the Cooler Master H500P Mesh, but the problem was that I wanted to use a 360mm AIO but it wouldn't be smart to put it on top and I didn't want to switch the front 200mm fans for it either. My current favorite is the Lian Li 011 Air, but it's also the reason I'm making this post. I'm really interested in this case but the problem is that it has a lot of fan spots which isn't a problem but I don't want to use all of them so I was wondering which fan spots are okay to leave fanless, and where would I mount the 360 aio. All help is much appreciated :).
  23. Hi, I am trying to get a building going with all fully compatible Chroma components. I would like some help trying to gather info as to what will work.

The previous build used the 1950X, but I was very impressed with what Precision Boost Overdrive brought to the table after seeing a few reviews. I’ve also cut down from 6 drives to two by moving to a NAS now that everything in my home has been upgraded to 10 gigabit ethernet. This meant I could move to a smaller case. I also had a pump failure on my Gen 1 Enermax AIO, so the cards really just lined up for a rebuild. They were nice enough to send me a 2nd Gen cooler which has RGB, so I didn’t have to theme around white this time. Things I loved about the build: Options! The first time around, I was limited by my part choice, but it is really nice to see more modern cases with EATX support. Seeing AMD grow! I really do like where AMD is headed. When Intel releases their iterative chips, we’d been forced to just take a minor clock speed bump, but now with real competition comes real upgrades. The performance boost over the 1950X on paper seems like nothing much, but I see many cores boosting higher and single threaded application feel much faster. Precision boost overdrive really makes a difference. There’s only a 250~ point difference between it and my all core (4.275GHz) Cinebench score. Aesthetics! My 760T was good looking and all, but this O11 Dynamic is really a show stopper of a case while maintaining great thermals. Being smaller, I can have it up on my desk to enjoy. Cable management! It’s been great in this case. I used Cablemod extensions with Mod-One shorty cables. It was MUCH cheaper than getting a full set of custom cables and looks just as good. Lots of room to manage in this case… or be a bit messy if you choose. IC Graphite pads! These were quick to install and saved me from having to clean up a mess of paste when I change to the upcoming ROG cooler and 2990WX once the windows bugs are worked out. Challenges: As with the first time I used this board, the Zenith Extreme has one of those Foxconn retention brackets that’s is insanely difficult to work with. You end up getting all 3 screws in if you ignore the order listed on the socket, but still have to use way more for than you’re comfortable with on $1400 worth of parts. The diagnostic screen died. A bit of a bummer on a year-old board. I don’t feel like RMAing just for that. I use this PC for the Lightroom Classic CC, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, VMs, deep learning experiments, gaming, and everything things. It’s my main rig. Even when I’m at my office, I use it remotely. I use it more for creative & workstation tasks than gaming.
  25. Hey, im just wondering if anyone uses the lian li pc-o11 dynamic razer edition with an ASUS motherboard because i dont know if i can control the lighting with it. Cheers.
