From the album: Cars N Stuff
The Ford GT (You know, Jeremy Clarkson owns one of these) -
New on here decided id showcase my latest project. I've been interested in building my own pc for a few years now but never had the money or time, with so much work being done at home and the addition of games the past year or so like Warzone I decided the time was right... (minus trying to source a reasonably priced gpu) PC and Peripherals Case: Corsair icue 220t Psu: Corsair Cx650m Cooler: Corsair H80i V2 Ram: Corsair 16gb 3000mhz (2x8gb) Cpu: Ryzen 3 2200g @3.85ghz Gpu: sahpire pulse Rx580 4Gb Motherboard: Aorus B450m Boot drive: sabrent 512gb nvme Storage: 1tb wd drive Monitor:Dell s2421h Mouse: Corsair Harpoon wireless Keyboard: Corsair K55 keyboard (not a corsair fanboy but from the little knowledge I had about pcs before building it , they seemed like good quality and the peripherals were cheap second hand !) Really didn't like the color scheme of the gpu backplate so I got some heat resistant paint and primer and gave it a couple of very light coats and I'm very impressed with it. No noticeable difference in Temperatures under. I'm not too keen on the crazy RBG colors, I feel a black case and internals looks pretty clean. Tried to keep costs for peripherals, desk and chair at a minimum so most of it is either second hand or fixed, had an old desk lying around which came out nice with a lick of grey paint. Tried to keep the build pretty clean, tidy cables was definitely high up on the priority list, got some cable clips on amazon as well as some double sided tape and zip ties to tidy up the back of the desk and pretty happy with it. Future plans are to wire the speakers with an amp which I have ordered, figure a way of hiding the ethernet cable and maybe upgrade to a wireless keyboard. If There's anything you like/dislike about the build or have any suggestions I would really appreciate it !

From the company that brought us exotic yet innovative systems, Fujitsu has created a uniquely comfortable mouse with a superior optical sensor, and some interesting minor features. At first I didn't have any interest in mice like this because of the shape and cost of high-end brands, but given the excellent symmetry and previous good experience with Fujitsu tech, I had to try it. The first thing I notice out of the box is how well balanced it is, weighing in at only about 80 grams. Compared to other mice, it's like a nice office pillow for your hand! Being a nerd and all, I had to open it up as I do with everything to see what kind of circuitry is involved, and I was very surprised at what I found inside (see images). All I can say is... wow... you know it's for enthusiasts when they put more engineering effort into the mechanical plastic casing than they do with the circuit board-- or did they? First of all, I love the design of the shell casing, it's really the best thing I've ever held as far as a mouse. Second, the circuit board may be small, but don't dismiss quality until you see the flip-side! The mouse uses a Pixart PAW3606DL-TKDA sensor with a resolution of 1200DPI, allowing at to work on a variety of surfaces and provide smooth motion of the cursor on screen. One odd feature is the lack of a traditional LED to reflect through the lens for the senor to interpret motion, although I noticed a very slight red blink coming from the sensor area, so it appears that the reference LED is a microscopic one built into the sensor itself. This gives the advantage of eliminating (or reducing) the bright red light from common mice that can be annoying to some or unpleasant in low-light area or places the need to remain relatively dark. Another odd feature is the scroll wheel. The M530 combines the floating wheel assembly from previous models with a traditional encoder which, instead of being soldered to the PCB, is connected by a small wire harness and plug. As such, most enthusiasts won't be able to upgrade or replace the encoder, but someone with good soldering experience should be able to handle tiny wire and pin attachments. In terms of feeling, the scroll feels super smooth, but has a mildly annoying rattle when scrolling up due to the non-permanent plastic mounting of the scroll wheel assembly (same problem of the previous models, but not as bad) which should be easy to fix with some spray-on PTFE (Teflon) at the mounting point. (or you could super-glue it-- not recommended.) Finally, the switches... The M530 uses Kailh switches for the left and right buttons, but generic square switches for the scroll button and what appears to be a side-scrolling function which is likely meant for moving over huge pictures or spread-out websites. The Kailh switches are pretty loud and a bit hard, but I can't complain since they will prevent accidental mis-clicks.

Whenever I open GeForce Experience it is either just a grey/black border with nothing inside or its just all grey/black. This also happens to the Minecraft launcher, its just solid grey. I am able to launch Minecraft by just guessing where the play button is and trying to click it. This is a "new to me" laptop. Its a dell latitude e something model. Specs: i7-2760Qm, NVS 4200M, 8gb ram

I am an architectural drafting student and am making a mansion on revit for my final project. While using the search tool in revit, I downloaded an armoire. If I place the armoire, there is a grey box around it, but the armoire is inside the box. I can change the material of the armoire but the grey box persists. As you can see in the picture, the armoire is in the box.

Hi, my MSI Afterburner's settings are locked and not showing anything beside the Core Voltage. It's currently like this. I tried to tick unlock voltage control/monitoring, but didn't help. Any suggestions? My cards are as seen in the attachment, Rx 580.

Hello friends, I recently got a new 144hz monitor to use as my primary and am using my existing one as a secondary. On initial set up, both screens worked fine and everything was running smoothly. On my next start up however, the primary screen went grey and the secondary goes black(sees no input) after the booting sequence. I tested and found that both monitors will work fine when plugged in on their own, but when plugged in together will cause this grey screen effect. I thought i was able to fix it by updating GPU drivers, but the next day it happened again. After a bit of time trying to fix it, I found that switching the hdmi ports worked. However, the next day it happened again. So I find that it IS possible to run both monitors at times. What could be the problem? Im running a 1070 on a ryzen 5 1400 cpu at 450W psu, not overclocked.

Hey guys! So recently I ordered 2 monitors (cause I couldn't test them in any shop) and I couldn't decide between them. Bought them off ebay are claimed to be used only for 3 days on Dreamhack. It is an official shop selling these, a lot cheaper than the MSRP. One of them is: Asus rog swift PG27V, 165hz 27" 1440p monitor, gsync TN PANEL The other one: Asus rog strix XG32V, 144hz 31,5" 1440p monitor, vsync VA Panel My GPU is nvidia obviously, but right now I think I'll stick to the larger one vsync. However I noticed a weird thing, whenever I open the browser, and I am on a completely white page, the monitor seems like it's dirty, but IT'S definitely NOT. Both monitors do this shit, and I don't know how to get rid of these very ugly grey dirty stains, or whatever they are. I am really not sure why am I experiencing this. I hope the pictures below can actually show what I'm talking about. I know it's not 100 percent cause it's taken with my phone, but it's still visible. It is not noticable in games or anything, just on white backgrounds, at least for now. I would like to know what is this, so I know to send back both (if they are really faulty) or just one, if this is normal and I can get rid of it. THEY ARE NOT FULL GREY, as they appear in the picture, there are just a lot of little grey dots or w/e. HELP ME PLEASE! IT'S VERY UGLY!

Hey guys. Was hoping to get some help here. I have been getting this grey screen of death. It will out of no where in the middle of doing something just turn grey and the only way to fix it is to reset the system. The CPU is being overclocked with o.c. genie. The gpu has a minor 100mhz overclock using msi afterburner. The only other time I had this since I built the system back in november was when I am play smite. Then it tends to do this grey, orange, or purple screen lock. Sometimes it will correct itself, sometimes it wont, and sometimes it will say display driver error. The thing with the smite error is that quite a few other people get it with that game too. I should also mention that this error with smite only happens when im playing smite. No other game has that. As for the grey screen of death. That is a new issue and is happening far more frequently as of the last couple days. Anyone know why this could be?

So, it's time to build myself a new computer, since my current one is starting to get a bit old. I've decided to go with a simple, grey color scheme, but I'm gonna need some help finding parts that fits in. The parts that I have already decided on buying are: Motherboard: Sabertooth Z170 Mark 1 CPU: i7 6700k Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolve Anthracite Grey RAM: Dominator Platinum 16GB(4x4GB) GPU: GTX 980TI, haven't decided which one yet though. I was thinking about getting the Strix, but it's not grey, so I'd rather skip that. Is there a grey one currently available? I do not want one with a reference cooler. PSU: Haven't decided here. All I know so far is that I want a fully modular one, preferably a Corsair, Be Quiet or EVGA one so that I won't have to sleeve the cables myself. CPU Cooling: I was thinking about just getting a nice air cooler until I can get a proper custom loop, but I might just go for the H100i GTX instead and save a bunch of money and time. If there are any other grey air coolers or closed loops that'd be nice, though. Those should be all the components where the color actually matter. Basically what I need help finding is a 980ti with a grey aftermarket cooler, a grey fully modular PSU and a CPU Cooler. Any help is appreciated!

Hey guys, My case got a bit recked when I shipped it over to my uni, so I was looking at possible replacements. The Phanteks enthoo evolv caught my eye for looking really classy, and I was wondering if there was a grey/ green version, as I saw a grey/ red version on newegg.

(POLL) Edit: OOOOF there's grey and white. Sorry I never knew. Very rare. Anyone know any mechanical sample products (AU). There's one on eBay but that's $25. What does the o ring mod do?

This is a new bug. It's been happening since the Windows 10 update. I assumed it would fix itself in the system's operating system updates, but nope... Wasn't the case, this is a new bug which Microsoft hasn't acknowledged, I've seen at least five users with this bug on older builds of Windows 10, I've got the latest of course because mine was the free upgrade. I don't understand this. It seems to happen after I render a video in Sony Vegas 12, or open up Dxtory(This happens rarely with Dxtory) it keeps flickering for no reason. Everything on my main monitor here except the task bar just flashes. I run at the same time: Google Chrome, Windows Explorer, Steam, Task Manager, GeForce Experience, GIMP 2.0 (Sometimes), Skype (Sometimes). And that's pretty much it. I don't understand what's causing this, it happens every 0.1-5 minutes, it just flashes randomly, I can't quite see what it is that's flashing, it looks like a grey pixelated mess to me. I've searched for fixes, but none exist, and from another post I have seen on another website, this is a bug that is still occurring with all Windows 10 builds. It's really annoying me now. I'm trying to read something, and suddenly it flashes and I lose where I am. As well as writing and other programs I use where it flashes and causes me to screw up. It's a very strange bug. Never had this in Windows 8.1. So it's exclusive to Windows 10.

So even tho "why would i run the 4k monitor at 1080p" is probably going to be asked. i will just say that for game resolution testing reasons id like to be able to use 1080p and upscale to 4k with dsr etc. But somehow, when i change game resolutions to under 1440p, the panel goes grey in color (not fully, just grey ish overlay over the image) and feels really smeared out. as for testing it on my old 24" BenQ the 1080p looks a lot smoother and sharper. now i just want to know if anyone else has had the same problems or know why the display acts like this?

Hello everybody. All details of the actual issue is below the message in the spoiler I have recently taken a fancy to playing the Arma series and am loving it so far. But even though I am shortly into the multi-player there are some issues that have been occurring in my games, but mostly on Arma 3. While playing Arma 3, I can run the game at its max settings at a solid 60fps. I was playing on a server for around 10 minutes and my game crashed with a message saying the "Driver has crashed but has been successfully recovered" or something like that. I have had this issue before on other games and it is now starting to bug me a bit as it is starting to happen more and more often. i was wandering if a fix is available/solution or if this has happened to you, no matter what game it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

So after finishing my 1st playthrough of The Witcher 2 I decided to replay Dragon Age: Origins. I came to the conclusion that in both games you are part of a badass mystical, shady organization that works in the shadows trying to protect the world from monsters and destruction.. As much as I love both of them I really couldn't decide, which of the 2 I would join.. Become a Grey Warden by my own will and protect the world from the darkspawn? Or be subjected into experiments that will enhance my abilities to slay any kind of monster? Turn into a Witcher? Who would you be? Edit: Couldn't figure out why the black lines where there or how to fix them so I edited the post.

Hi, About 1 month ago I bougt a MSI Radeon R9 270X 4Gb Gddr5 Gaming edition. After one week I started having some problems with my card. Just random in a game it crashes and all I see is grey / white stripes on my screen. My motherboard (Gigabyte GA-B85M-HD3) Pcie x16 slot was missing 3 or 5 pins (Dont ask how) I thougt that was the problem so I changed the motherboard with a Asus H81M-K Afther that it didnt helped anything. I changed from drivers 7 times and I even tried the drivers on the CD and that didnt helped anything. I read on some forums that more MSI users have the same problem. I think the videocard is broken but im not sure. Can anyone confirm this of tell me a solution? Below my full specs: Asus H81M-K motherboard Intel core i7 4770 3.4 Ghz 12 GB corsair ddr3 ram. (1x 8GB, 1x 4 GB) 750 Watt MS-tech PSU and offcourse: MSI Radeon R9 270X 4Gb Gddr5 Gaming edition Thanks!

Today I updated my AMD driver from 13.9 to 14.4 However I launched chrome and now the menu bars and bookmark bar are slightly pink - when regularly they should be the default grey gradient And then went on to find out that the same color (grey/gradient) is slightly pink all over windows as well. The whites and other colours show up just fine. but only the grey gradient is now pink. No idea why this has happened but im assuming its because of the driver update My monitor settings have remained constant. no changes My windows colors and themes are stock with no changes Even in the AMD control center it shows all the color settings as default with no changes UPDATE: it seems that the attached screenshot looks fine on all other monitors and devices...but the pink hue only exists on my pc...my monitors setting are still what they were before the AMD update UPDATE 2: the attached screenshot has all the pink areas highlighted. these areas are usually grey or grey gradient by default in Win7...
