I can't find anyone posting this here, so here we are. Accursed Farms has been talking about game as a service and companies destroying games for a long time now, and in the video he talks about how Ubisoft destroying The Crew seems like as good of a chance to fight back as we are gonna get. He goes over his reasoning and how he wants to approach this lawsuit and I feel like he has thought this through and we should help him make this lawsuit a reality. He is asking for two things: If you bought a copy of The Crew and have some form of proof, email crewemails@protonmail.com just the country (or which state in the US) you are in, no personal info If you are a lawyer/attorney or know someone that can help or are familiar with consumer protection law anywhere in the world, reach-out to rosswscott@gmail.com spread the word!

Summary A decade or so ago, Ubisoft was constantly complaining about PC gamers pirating its titles. The French company was so frustrated with pirates that a number of iconic “Ubisoft vs PC pirates” GIFs flooded the market. And last week, Ubi gave PC gamers another big reason to simply pirate its games. Quotes My thoughts My first thought was that I had been considering getting the new Star Wars game from Ubisoft, but this just potentially killed that. My second thought was, how exactly would they delete/remove access to a game bought on steam... Sources https://www.dsogaming.com/news/ubisoft-gives-pc-gamers-another-reason-to-pirate-its-games/

Today i had a power surge while playing unranked on r6 seige and lost internet connection; by the time i was allowed to reconnect the game was over and i was slapped with a 2 day abandon penalty. I know these things can be appealed so I go to Ubisoft proper and go to log in, mind you it's been a while since i've used this account so it took a few times for me to get my password correct. I finally get into my account and was in there for less than a minute before I was kicked out and was kicked back to the login screen and was told my account has been blocked from login because of too many failed attempts. I go to support to get... support, account support. The account support page gives a few options including account recovery chat. But in order to get put into a chat for password recovery or general account recovery for this specific situation that I had. you have to login with your f*cking account information through the same portal in which you are blocked. I then said screw it and went through the password change process, and was still barred from login.

Hi LTT folks, I am new here. I can go on r/rant but I feel doing it here will expose the anti-consumer behavior of corporates, in this case, Ubisoft. I made a purchase of AC Origins Season Pass and FC 5 on Ubisoft Store for 14 Euros which I paid in Indian Rupees using digital payment system during Ubisoft Store sale. My main game (AC Origins) is in Steam and this is the 1st time I have ever purchased a DLC separately. Usually I would purchase altogether in a bundle. Anyway, I had no idea that there is incompatibility between using DLCs on one platform and main game on the other. When I went on Ubisoft's forum to read about it, I was surprised to learn this is a long age pending issue and was never resolved by Ubisoft. There is no warning or a side note on their products about the incompatibility and usage of main games from third party platforms with DLCs on Ubi Store. This might also be the case for other gaming studios on Non-Ubisoft Gaming Platform, idk. If Ubisoft has this incompatibility then why even list all the games under "Games" library that were purchased from Steam, Epic, GOG? So I immediately opened up a case ticket on their website and asked for a refund ONLY for AC Origins Season Pass and not the FC 5. After a day or two they tell me that they cannot cash me back the refund due to the payment method I used and instead will provide store vouchers worth it's cost i.e. partial refund(only for the DLC = 7Euros). I requested them to reconsider cash refund but as the corporate support goes, I had to accept their offer. They told me to wait for 14 days. Now here's where I goofed up, I closed the case ticket before receiving the refund. Mind that I gave them the confirmation to proceed with the refund but because I closed the ticket they thought that I have given up the idea of refund. Post 17 days, I contacted them back by reopening the previous case in the form of a new ticket and asked them the voucher's whereabouts. The chat support said the refund was never initiated because I closed the ticket. (Facepalming with frustration) I reconfirmed and acknowledged to go with the original refund. Only THIS TIME, they tell me that partial refund is not possible we have to refund for the whole order(DLC + FC5). I am like, what changed in this process? I just started playing FC5 and now all of a sudden you pull this crap for no reason. Their emails also said no matter how much I dispute this is the only thing they can ('will') do. As I write this, I accepted defeat and told them to go ahead with the full-refund but at the cost of exposing this madness on forums such as this, may be on Gamer's Nexus and PCMR. My only ignorance was closing the first case ticket. Go through the images. It's not about getting full refund but them making you chase after something so trivial that was caused due to their platform's misinformation and turning back on their customers. They should have at least proceeded with the partial refund and let me keep my FC 5. Linus, LMG Team and the community, if you feel this is injustice please expose them through your videos.

EDIT: After 5 different admins replied, one of them was able to fix the issue. Dear community, has anyone experience with Ubisoft's forum discussions.ubisoft.com? We had two forum posts in the Just Dance Now section: a feature suggestion and a bug report. I was eager to read the official reply, but it was moved to an inaccessible location before I could read it. Access Denied. You seem to have stumbled upon a page that you do not have access to. Both posts wholly vanished; the one I wrote isn't visible, even on my profile activity. I asked why the topics weren't visible and why they had been removed. Both posts consisted of constructive feedback and didn't break any rules or code of conduct. A Ubisoft employee replied that he answered both posts and moved them; he posted direct links to both posts. Then I pointed out that both links are not accessible, and I asked if a moderator set wrong permissions for this subsection. I included that he could test if the section is accessible if he goes into inPrivate/Incognito mode. A different Ubisoft employee, this time an administrator, replied that he could see the section in inPrivate mode after he logged in. I replied that, of course, he could see the post after login; he is an admin and has permissions. This section should be visible without login, as every other area is this discussion forum. This answer was very confusing; an admin should know about permissions and how his forum works. There was no reply after that, except for a second user who confirmed that the section was not visible. Today, I hoped that maybe a Ubisoft employee would have answered, and I went to the forum site. But unfortunately, now my topic is not visible, and if I use a direct link to it, it is not accessible anymore. Later on, I also noticed that all other posts had vanished too. You can still see a counter of topics and replies on the main page, but they are all gone if you navigate the sub-sections. Finally, my question: Are these admins forced to hide these posts? Has anyone been around longer in the Ubisoft forums and can tell his experience? Is it worth opening another post complaining that every other post is not visible? Is something wrong with all of my devices and browsers; can you see the topics? I can't imagine that two or more Ubisoft employees accidentally set the viewing permissions wrong after being told there is an issue. Summary After a closed beta accessible via twitch drops and a release in 2020. Hyperscape servers are shutting down. Quotes My thoughts While beta keys via twitch drops is a cool idea, it seems to have drummed up more hype than what hyperscape could provide. Here's to hoping my main account can get access to future drops before the alt I made specifically for valorant/hyperscape/scavengers etc. Sources https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/hyper-scape/news-updates/37U6BBTVWevDWEZHY48x3g/the-future-of-hyper-scape

Hi all, it's been awhile since I posed here! I downloaded Far Cry 6 a few weeks ago, when it came out, and it's been an amazing game. However, I just installed the first update, and now when I launch the game, the screen just stays black. I have MSI afterburner open, so I can see all the current specs of the computer, and it's running fine. I can alt-tab out of it, and google chrome and other applications are working fine. I also tried restarting the computer, and I also updated the drivers. Nothing seems to help. I also looked at the Ubisoft help page, nothing there either. Specs of PC: Ryzen 5 3600 Asus LC240 Asus ROG B550-A 16GB Crucial Balistix (3200) 256GB M.2 NVMe SSD 2TB HDD RTX 3060 Ti FE Seasonic 650 SGX Lian Li O11D Mini Any help is appreciated!

I'm trying to play Far Cry 5, but most (not every) time I boot it up via Steam, it of course has to open Ubisoft's program to run. After that, my Radeon software is disabled, because the game claims I don't have an HDR monitor. I click on AMD Radeon Software in the Start Menu of Windows, and it won't open. Using Ctrl+R doesn't open it either. I have to reinstall AMD's software (usually with the Factory Resent option), then open and run the game, and it behaves for that game session (or until I shut down the PC, or it enters sleep mode). I have an RX 6700 XT. A google search shows a lot of Ubisoft FAQ stuff simply saying "check that your drivers are current." I saw something about shutting off Ubisoft in-game notifications, but I've done that, and it doesn't stop it. The only thing left to try via early google search results is to run Ubisoft in offline mode, but at some point I'd hoped to play Far Cry 5 with friends, so I'd have to be online for that. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Ubisoft getting backlash for minimal abuse policy changes Summary Ubisoft has reportedly made very minimal changes to their policies against sexual misconduct and harrassment. Of course this has made a lot of people angry and rightfully so. The "#HoldUbisoftAccountable" has started trending on twitter so now Ubisoft's PR team must be having a nightmare Quotes My thoughts I think that they really need to be held accoutable for their actions and they deserve this backlash if they are not going to do anything about this major problem for their workers. Their abuse Policy's do nothing to protect their female and even male employees from sexual harassment and assault. Their HR department is a mess and doesn't do anything about their employees sexual misconducts' Sources Ubisoft has reportedly made minimal changes following abuse allegations | GamesIndustry.biz #HoldUbisoftAccountable - Twitter Search / Twitter Ubisoft reportedly made minimal changes following abuse allegations (nme.com)

Good afternoon all, I have recently started playing Far Cry 5 (yes I know I'm very late) and upon playing the game I noticed very odd performance, presented in the form of stuttering; Running the in-game benchmark without vsync enabled (limited to 125 fps for other reasons) produced a maximum of 125fps, with an average of 117fps and minimum of 73.7fps. This was running the game at ultra, 1080 using the system specs signed below. This system I feel should not receive these results in this game, and when checking CPU and GPU usage, CPU maxed out at around 45% and GPU maxed at 60%; so I upped the resolution to 1440p. Benchmarking at this resolution left CPU usage the same, increased GPU usage to around 75-80%, but produced almost identical framerate results. When turning on v-sync at 60hz the results are maximum of 60fps, minimum of 57fps and average of 59fps. With vsync disabled, even though it doesn't drop below 60fps it looks rather choppy; and with vsync enabled, it is definitely choppy as every second it drops from 60 to 59fps. However as aforementioned none of my system resources are being maxed out, including RAM usage and so on, so I am left rather confused as to why this would be occurring? I have read many forums and there are issues listed such as autosave stutter and so on however this does not seem to be the same issue I am experiencing as mine occurs the entire time of play. Any advice/insight would be appreciated, Thanks all

Hi all, recently I got Watch Dogs Legion though the Ubisoft plus subscription. I installed the game and got through the first mission fine then, the crashing started, I could be running the game for less then two minutes and boom it crashed. The graphics settings I have configured for the game maybe take up just over 3.4gb of VRAM so it has plenty of VRAM to use. I tried a variety of solutions I found online such as: Upping the priority level in task manager for the game using the -dx11 command line argument to run the game in direct x 11 instead of direct x 12 verifying game files Not running CPU at overclocked level Now I must note that when I ran the game in direct x 11 instead of 12 it did crash less often but after maybe 30mins of playing, the frequent crashing returned. Does anyone else have any potential solutions I could try? has anyone else had this issue? I'm also curious if Ubisoft knows about this and if they're working on a fix... If it helps my system specs are: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU (Overclocked to 4 Ghz) 16GB 3200 MHz Ram (only clocked to 2933MHz because that's the maximum the CPU supports) EVGA GeForce GTX 980 graphics card 4gb ASUS Prime B450M-K Motherboard Any solutions anyone could offer are appreciated.

Hello, I have got Rainbow 6 in steam and I have been downloading the recently released season update which is Void Edge from my off-peak data quota set by the ISP. The total update size is 66 GB, I started the download on the 26th last month, downloaded around 35 GB. I went back to steam to resume the update last night from the off-peak data and noticed that the download has gone back to 0 and is starting all over. I paused it because there's no way im downloading this from the beginning. I did a bit of searching and found out that these kind of issues happen with steam when another game update comes at the same time ur downloading one. There were few suggestions to fix the issue, such as restart steam, restart the PC, clear download cache and integrity checking. I also tried copying the files in the downloads folder of steam to another drive > stopped the update> restarted it > paused and quit steam > replaced the new files with the ones I copied to the other drive> started steam again hoping it to detect the files and resume the download from 35GB but nope. None of these worked. It would be very helpful if someone could help me fix to this as downloading 66gb in our country is insane, its going to take me like 2 months worth of data to do it. And what if this same BS happen again, I would have to kill myself. Thank you for your time.

I run windows 10 and this is the first time I've had problems with Ubisoft, and don't know what to do. The 2 Ubisoft games I have are Watchdogs and Rainbow Six Siege. When I try to start Rainbow Six Siege this message pops up: Error at hooking API "NtProtectVirtualMemory" Dumping first 32 bytes: 4C 8B D1 B8 50 00 00 F6 04 25 08 03 FE 7F 01 75 03 0F 05 C3 CD 2E C3 0F 1F 84 00 00 00 00 00. A very similar but different message pops up for Watchdogs with the same style as the first one. I tried contacting Ubisoft Support but they said that they were "closing your case from a system standpoint" so I took this as there is a problem on my side. I hope you guys can help me. Thank you!

So I noticed that my Uplay download speeds were consistently at 10mbps. They never go above or below that speed, never. This leads me to believe the my internet of 150mbps can support more download speed, but it simply won't. I've run a few test with downloading from different services and they all report the same exact download speeds. The only app that isn't affected is the Microsoft store. That being said, I'm lead to believe this has to do with permissions. I tried running as an admin, but it didn't work. Help pls! I just want to download siege quickly!

Hello and have a nice day everyone ! I have been wondering about 1 question these days for playing Far Cry 5 in Coop mode. The question is that is it possible to play in Coop mode when i purchase the game from Ubi-store, have the game installed on my own PC, then using the same Uplay account to log in, download and install the game on another PC (my brother computer as in my case). After that, use a different Uplay account that has not purchased the game yet to log in and play in Coop mode ? If not, are there any other ways ? I tend to do that for me and my brother to play at home. Thanks in advance !

I have a serious issue with The Division 2 and I'm helpless. I've been playing for a few hours past two days with no issues at all on my high refresh rate monitor. I didn't do anything, didn't even restart the PC and suddenly the next launch of the game is locked at 60fps no matter what I do. Turning on and then off again of v-sync, frame limiter, refresh rate itself etc. didn't work. The only thing that works is playing in windowed mode. My specs are 8700k with 1080ti and 16GB of 3200MHz RAM. My monitor is 1440p 165Hz. It's driving me insane and makes the game borderline unplayable for me (first world problems I know). I even tried the ingame benchmark and when fullscreen it's locked to 60 with GPU utilization around 60%, when I press alt+enter to exit fullscreen to windowed it suddenly spikes up to like 100 fps and usage to full load. I am completely clueless how to make the god damned game run at my native refresh rate.

I just upgraded to a quad core I5 no HT CPU just to play R6 since they cut support on dual core CPUs. Now I still get freeze and crash to desktop right on round start when map/characters are loaded. I started big topics on Ubisoft forums and Steam forums and had this everywhere on media since I was on dual core. They didn't give any info or detail about what happened or what did they broke it's a crazy CPU support list related issue and no one on the big gaming news sites wrote a review about this: 20% of players can't access R6 anymore after Burnt horizon patch. They just told us to upgrade from 2 cores to 2 cores with HT or 4 cores as their system requirements but now I still have this problem unsolved and I'm above the system requirements. Help

Sadly i cant do it myself because I havent updated my game as im all out of data. Hopefully i can get it done before 1st Jan. Tell me what u got down in the comments. I also did hear that some people who were awarded renown didnt get it to their accounts and ubi is working on that.

recently i have noticed that games are not being optimized properly and devs are not putting an effort to do so, its like they just dont care, they want to sell and get money and maybe concentrate on consoles only. i have i7 4790, Vega 64, 16GB DDR3 1600Mhz and 2560x1080 monitor 21:9 @80hz. I run graphically amazing and intensive games no issues at screen refresh rate with some normal FPS dips at max settings, like shadow of the tomb raider, shadow of war, the witcher 3, Wolfenstein, BO4, BF1, the division... on the other hand you find games with the same graphics as above games and sometimes even less amazing but runs bad with many frame spikes, like far cry 5, assassin's Creed Odyessey, watch dogs 2, sudden strike 4, blitzkrieg 3, total war Warhammer 2, BF5, wildlands amd many other games, where CPU and GPU are sitting almost @50% -70% usage. i mean why are devs killing PC gaming? why cant a powerful PC run a game smoothly but a 300-500 dollars consoles can with decent graphics and smooth gaming? why DX12 and vulkan still not widely supported? although they game good boost when gaming. Recently PC gaming are being published but not polished, look at just cause 4, fallout 76, BF5...etc , they just dont care about PC community anymore, i know games are being pirated but dont blame the remaining majority. devs are just producing games to maximize their proft, ubisoft 2 AC games in 2 years! black ops 4 is a remaster from previous games, just cause 4 is bad.... many of pc gaming community are thinking of buying PS5 when available and abandon PC. atleast i dont have to worry about my 2000K rig running the game...

UPDATE: They now included a build recommendation as part of a news article/post still related to this post but it isn't found in the same ribbon tab. Illustration below. So it seems like Ubisofts own game launcher now has a "How to build a PC" ribbon tab and it's been there since the 3rd of November 2018... Source: UPLAY itself I for one did not notice it, maybe because I rarely use UPLAY to launch my games. So yay! Ubisoft. The video itself wasn't made by Ubisoft (thank God), it was uploaded by a channel on Youtube called NGON. I think the aim of this was to educate dudes new to PC building or want to try it out (duh). Better yet I think it aims to educate people about buying pre-built and/or trash PCs that are total rip-offs - basically, so people can avoid this - I'm not sure if the "How to build a PC" in the ribbon deserves to be there though... I'm just saying no one would really come back to check it out. Maybe it should be within the 'Games' section like a green button there or something. Comments: Good - It was pretty nice. The dude tried to explain carefully each essential component in a PC and what you need to consider. Slightly meh - He didn't take into account one of the most important things like "set a budget first" - this is gonna bite your ass if you neglect it totally. Technically speaking price doesn't really come into "how to build" but the video itself explains how to pick parts sooo... Low-key stuff - If you watch the video closely, the guy chose a Ryzen CPU and some Sapphire Nitro GPU. Hmm... Too bad there isn't a ribbon tab on the launcher called "How to fix buggy/broken games" EDIT: I don't know why Ubisoft didn't link to their own forums though - https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1444233-Building-a-gaming-PC-–-Part-1-Getting-Started EDIT 2: You can watch the video here - UPDATE CONTINUED: Below are UBISOFT's and NGON's PC build recommendation split into categories - ENTRY, MID-RANGE, ULTRA, and ENTHUSIAST - Needless to say there is obviously a huge pricing difference between AMD and intel CPUs as both of intel's motherboard and processors are very expensive compared to AMD's own offerings. Other nitpicks - SSDs are still expensive and only offers performance boost to loading times. Generally, I'd say just put all essential programs in the SSD (500GB is more than enough) and other games in an HDD (2TB is pretty standard) to save up money and space. The 2280 form factor for M.2 drives listed here still depends on the motherboard, no point getting one if your motherboard doesn't even have the slot. Motherboard form factors (in this case mATX & ATX) are generally irrelevant to the performance and sometimes even pricing. Just say the chipset. RAM speed should be like 2800MHz and up or something. What if the guy found a cheaper 3866MHz+ kit. For "Enthusiast" I would still consider the GTX 1070 as a good base for 1440p... to some degree an RX 580 8GB would still do an adequate job. Mid-Range - there's nothing wrong with an RX 570 for 1080p gaming, so perhaps put RX 570 or GTX 1060 3/5/6GB instead? Also maybe put some pricing range, like you would get the "Entry" level system for say $400.
