Mouse upgrade: A considered replacement for a Logitech M100
b1k3rdude replied to b1k3rdude's topic in Peripherals
So picked up a 'Razer Deatheradder Essential', where ever I got my dimension info was completely wrong. Its 127mm no 114mm and its feels heavier and its nosier (sound cheap) if you can believe that than the M100. Back to the drawing board. -

I have also found the RMB isnt sending a click when I feel a click, in one of the programs I use. The issue is said program wont give me the right-click contact menu if the mouse is moved when I right-click. My M100 dosent suffer from this, so that's a show stopper right there. And I think I caught some webpages and windows explorer doing a back pedal intermittently - another black mark for the g203. -

So found a Razer DeathAdder Essential going cheap, so will test that alongside the G203 and see how I get on. And regarding the G-Hub, just downloaded and installed it.................. Wtf is the bloated pos, the installer would just sit there on 'initializing' unless it had a connection to the internet (there is no mention of it saying it needed to download anything on the product page) Then I discovered its scanned my system without asking for consent - (some of my games are now showing up in there) It needed the internet for the setting for the G203, why? & -

Well its almost the perfect mouse (clicks, scroll, lift), but - the weight is a bit too heavy (I might be able to get used that tho) Its a little bit too long compared to the M100, as in the rear pokes out into my palm a bit (see attached) And then there is the side buttons which are to be blunt - f***ing annoying and imho pointless - They are right where my right thumb pad sits half the time when using the mouse. I can't press the rear side button without moving my hand, ergo the mouse. I can't press the front side button, same as above but also some -

So grabbing a G203 to test as they are going dirt cheap on amazon right now. -
So just for shits and giggle I thought I would check out what EA games there were on steam atm, and see the good ones require EA Play subscription (why when this crap is only required for multiplayer, do you even get a choice when you buy the game?). So then I spotted a few other games that state they only need an EA account and Origin. Now EA are rebranding yet again, but staying on point Origin is now going to be EA Desktop App. I hope this doesn't mean its a Win10 app, meaning your tied into need the micro$haft store, unlike steam. The second concern is are EA as p

I never vote for anything on steam, would have never linked my steam account and lastly I only play SP games. I have no interest what so ever in some old crap like CsGo.

Banned From My Origin/EA Account.
