Hey guys , i am having some trouble managing my network. The wifi signal i s too week in my living room(just on the final bar) and i am looking to extend my network. I hace already tried the wifi extender option but the signal is too weak and i am not able to get a decent connection. I have no way of placing the extender halfway. ( i have a tp link archer a7) and am looking to use thier OneMesh function but with no success. I am looking for a variant to use another router and connect it via lan cable, but DO NOT WANT TO MAKE IT AN ACCESS POINT. I have already tried that variant and the signal on my devices stays on the lowest bar and does NOT disconnect or transfer to the other router when i switch rooms. Is there a way to do this

Hello. I want to buy a router for my new 500 Mbps subscription. Which one to buy: Tenda AC10, TP-Link Archer C6 or TP-Link Archer A6? They are in the same price range and I don't know if there are any differences

I recently bought a TL-SG108E. My previous router had the wan port as VLAN 102, I did that to bypass my ips router. So how do I do that on the switch. I got a bit confused when I saw the untagged/tagged ports, and networking isn't my strong side of the tech world. In the picture is what I did, I don't know if it's correct.

I am trying to login into the web management utility of my TP-Link router but it doesn't let me log in. it doesn't it even show wrong username or password error when I try to log in. I tried resetting the setting to default using the reset button on the router but even default username password doesn't work.

Problem is when I am playing / using teamspeak once an hour or two im getting like 1-2 seconds packet loss or insane ping jump. When im pinging my default gateway it shows almost always 1ms or <1ms but after hour of pinging it shows one that has 11-12ms latency I have no idea how to fix this issue, any help :P?

Devices on my home wifi are not able to connect. It was good for like 2 months everything was working perfect, then suddenly my devices wont connect to wifi even when there is internet connection. I checked the connection by connecting wifi router to PC via LAN port and it is working fine. Devices wont connect, I can only see connecting status on devices and then it disappears. After that I did reset the router, everything set on default setup then it worked for a week or two and now again it has started to behave the same way. Please help, I cant even return the item to Amazon because the return window is closed now. Wifi settings: Mode: 11b/g/n mixed Channel Width and Channel set to auto i have tried changing all these but it didnt work! Any help is appreciated!

Hello, i have a small question to get out of mi mind: I will set up a network that looks like this: <Internet> -----(coaxial)----<Modem>----(cat 6) ---- <Router> ----(cat 6) ---- <Switch 10,100,1000BaseT> ----(cat 6) ---- <PC1>, <PC2>, <PC3> .... <PC 20>. DHCP is provided by the Router. Every PC is directly conected to the Switch via cat 6 T568B terminal pinout. cat 6 cable is well under the 100 feet mark, more like 40feet. (i post in feet since i believe you are all americans, if not, i dont need more than 12Metres long cables, the place is kinda small). My question is: If i transfer a package between PC1 (gigabit nic) and PC2 (gigabit nic), this will be the path right?: <PC1> ----(cat 6) ---- <switch> ----(cat 6) ---- <PC2>. I'm afraid i can't tell if the package will be going through the router since that's who provides the DHCP... i strongly believe it won't, and the switch will be doing the hard work of transfering at gigabit speeds.... but can't get this out of my head. Thanks in advanced!

Hey, so I live in a two floor house and want a router that can provide WiFi to both floors. I am using a tp-link tl-wr740n v4 and it was good enough to provide the part of the house with WiFi where my family sat most in. I now switched places and so I have a WiFi problem so can you please suggest me a good router with 2-3 antennas, maybe dual band WiFi(no prob if there isn't), a good wireless range, gigabit LAN ports(at-least one) and good reviews under 30-40$. I was about to go for the tl-wr940n v3(30$) but it doesn't have any gigabit LAN ports and as Linus says "get gigabit even if it means spending a couple more bucks". Tell me if I should go with the tl-wr940n v3(30$) or suggest some others

Good day guys. I've purchased a wireless router TL-WR940N, and after the configuration, internet connection via this router is functioning and I am able to use the internet with no problems. But its Light indicators (Wifi, Internet, LAN 1-4) are not flashing when I am using the network. Is there a problem with it? Or is it completely normal? Thank you.

I bought a TL-SG108 to solve the WiFi issue in my far bedroom. I am hoping I wont have to run another Ethernet cord up my wall to connect the modem to the WiFi router. Can anyone confirm I will or will not? Solid line is the floor.

I've had a few issues with my WiFi lately that've been driving me crazy, to the point of resetting my PC with no luck. When I connect to the wifi, I can load web pages fine, stream video, download things etc. all with no issue. But the internet access icon in my taskbar shows zero bars and a red x. In addition, I have crazy rubberbanding issues in pretty much any multiplayer game. In the same games at the same time, I have a very normal ping, around 40-50 ms and none of the other computers/consoles in the house have this issue. I replaced the modem, reseated my TP-Link N900 card, reinstalled drivers, and now I reset my PC with no luck. Any ideas? I'm also using comcast Xfinity so I understand there might not be a good fix

Hello All, I want to upgrade my home network. My girlfriend and me just got a new PCs. They both have gigabit LAN port but as it turned out my WiFi router is just 10/100. I want to buy a WiFi router with Gigabit capability to match the PCs performance. My old router is a http://www.tp-link.com/no/products/details/TL-WR841ND.html . At that time when I bought it, it was supercool and fulfilled my needs without any question. The WR841's range is quite extraordinary. I live on the 4th floor, and I got signal not just from the ground floor, but in the whole street (~100 m). The firmware UI is simple what I like, and it is stable (I had to restart it only once in half a year). So I strongly trust in TP-Link products. In other hand my technological armada is evolved, so I need a stronger device, with up to date features. My minimum requirements: Gigabit Dual Band 802.11ac standard USB port Minimum 3 LAN port Good to have: External antennas (as an engineer I do not trust overintegrated things. Parts what need space those should get enough space) Usable or just fancy android app Some kind of NAS-y options Range is not an standpoint because I live in a small flat with maximum one wall blocking the signal. I want to start a little home server. I would like to store some movies to streaming to phone, common software installers, etc. Do I need an USB 3.0? Does the USB 3.0 worth the extra money? Can use a 2.5" 5400rpm HDD with standard USB 2.0? (I have a Sata to USB3 converter cable) At last the most important thing! My budget is around 100 USD. I gladly buy again a TP-Link product if it has the necessary properties. After a little research Asus is my second possible choice but I do not like the design they have and the mostly internal antennas. Please tell me what should I buy. What to worth buying. I open for other brands if they are reasonable choices. Thank you for your help!

Has anyone here used the CPE-610 before? I got one recently and it does work except that it is missing the lower range of freqencies, lowest I can go is 5745 rather than the 5100 or 5140 I am not sure exactly what the lowest channel is supposed to be but something like that. Has anyone had this before? it is listed in the specs to have these options but they are not available to me and I am unsure why. Also there is two modes for the antenna, one being feed only mode and one being antenna. Feed only seems to give it more power but I am not exactly sure of how these modes work... Thanks for any help!

Dear People I need help because when i was restoring my IBM think pad t21, i encountered several problems. For ex, when i installed Debian 10 on my IBM think pad, i need to load tp link drivers for my Tp link adapter(model:TL-WIN725N) plus i need to use sudo command to install gnome. But for some reason, it says "sudo: command not found" Which tells me that sudo is not installed. After analysing, i found that i am trapped in every way ( i can't either connect to the internet to download sudo files nor i could use sudo files to load driver for that usb to wireless adapter). If anyone has long experience in linux and way to find out problem for this situation, any help would be appreciated. Thanks & Regards

Can't get TP-Link TG-3468 V3 to work (Ethernet Adapter)
Cpelissier posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Power surge fried the ethernet port on my Asus 370-e mobo. I know it the motherboard port because plugging the same ethernet cord into a different computer will allow that computer to connect. My ethernet switch port light won't even light up. I bought a TP-Link TG-3468 off Amazon and I can't get it to show up in Device Manager, even after downloading and installing the drivers. I've tried restarts, reinstalls, and all I know to do and I can't get it to work. The light on the card indicating the Mbps lights up if that helps. -
Hello guys! I recently moved into a new apartment, and due to its layout, i cannot wire my pc directly to the router, so what i've done is i bought a range extender(tl-wa850re), and wired my pc to it, the extender itself is like a meter from the router, signal is perfect, and latency is near perfect most of the time, but every 20-30 seconds i get a huge lag spike(200-300ms), then it is back to normal. I'm fairly certain that the issue is the connection between the repeater and the router, because i pinged my router, and this is the result i got: Ping statistics for 192.168.0.1: Packets: Sent = 99, Received = 99, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 1ms, Maximum = 344ms, Average = 10ms This seems to happen pretty randomly, i do not know why. I tried: Updating firmware, disabling ipv6(someone suggested it on another forum),disabling other devices. So far, nothing worked, and I would be extremely thankful if anyone could give me any tips as to how can this be solved.

Hi there, I have a TP-link router (Model: Archer C7) setup as an access point for the second floor in my house. The router is working fine as an access point (connected to the main router downstairs through ethernet). However, I have been experiencing problems when I try to do certain things over the internet. Particularly, when I make a video call, the access point disconnects and I have to reset it for it to work again. There are other things that make it disconnect but I don't think it has to do with the amount of data being transferred over the network as I can play online videogames without any issues. I thought it could be the bandwidth of the access point but the problem happens even when I am the only one using the wifi in the access point. I would really appreciate any suggestions of what to do or ideas/explanations of what could be causing the problem. Further details: I am connected to the 2.4GHz frequency Ethernet cable is CAT 5e

I think the title says it all, Have been having erratic connections lately, called the ISP and they said that there are no problems on their side I wonder if there's a problem with my router instead? Have been using it for quite a while without issue and this suddenly starts happening It doesnt disconnect for very long, but it happens maybe 30-50 times a day for about 1-2 minutes each time. (i know the log says led controller, but the whole WAN disconnects during that period) Model: TP Link Archer C5400 Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!

hoprfully i explain this properly but here goes so ive just moved into a new house (im in australia btw if that helps) and the internet from the road comes into the house in the garage and theres a second port in there aswell that goes to the kitchen. so i have one router in the garage (tplink archer vr600) taking in the fttn connection, and ive also got a server plugged directly into that router. and then ive got the other router (tplink archer vr2800) in the kitchen currently in bridge mode. ive currently got the router in the kitchen having all the devices connected to it but my problem is that i cannot access network shares etc from the server thats connected to the router in the garage. so i guess what im wanting is the have the router in the garage to act as just a modem but also share the network ports with the router in the kitchen. please let me know if you need more details or a network map or whatever

I've just installed my brand new TP-Link TG-3468 Gigabit Network Adapter on my PC. And my Internet speed got way lower than before. Current speed is locked at 10.0Mbps. My normal speed is 100Mbps Download and 50Mbps Upload. That's what I'm paying for (Optic Fiber) NOTE: 1. My router does support gigabit connections.. 2. My ISP is giving me the right speed 3. I've tried different cable setups. 4. I know the difference between Megabyte and Megabit :D 5. The speed is only lowered on my external network adapter. On the on-board network adapter it goes way higher. 6. I have the latest drivers for the network adapter Thanks in advance :)

USB-C Speeds | TP-LINK Archer AX11000 Hello all, I am writing to ask about the USB-C read/write speed of the new TP-LINK Archer AX11000. Since this is the only router with 1.8 GHz Quad-Core CPU + 3 coprocessors and 1 GB of RAM I am currently using Netgear R7000 with my SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD 2 TB Up to 550 MB/s Read as a NAS / home media server. Because my current router only has usb-3.0, i am bottle-necked to speed of 50 mbps read / 30mbps write. I am wanting to upgrade to this router because the SSD i have has a type C port that might offer 550mbps read/write. please advice whats the speeds on USB-C On this modem. We are two people who plan to use it as a local file server. alongside gaming needs. please help. Many Thanks
