Specs- Motherboard- asus maximus v extreme Cpu- intel i7-3770k 3.50GHz Power supply- Antec TPQ-850 850W Continuous Power ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC "compatible with Core i7/Core i5" Power Supply 32 gigs of ram My third time writing this so im just gonna get to the point. i went from a radeon hd 7900 series graphics card to a new evga 1080ti sc 2. i used ddu to uninstall my amd drivers and installed the new invidia ones and it works flawlessly. heres where the problem is, when i get into a game like smite and set the settings to 4k max, i hop into a game and the game runs perfect but after around two minutes into a game my system just shuts down and reboots (skyrim wont even let me go in game at all with 4k max neither does mgs 5). What exactly is the problem? what is the solution? is it maybe because i decided to use my old pci connections instead of the ones given? Is my power supply the one to blame? do i need to set my res down to 1440p? what exactly do i need to be able to game at a nice 4k whatever settings without my pc collapsing every minute in-game (not menus) Update- even benchmarking my pc causes it to shut down. ive tried witcher 3 4k max and to no surprise shut down my system, i decided to try it 4k on low settings and to my surprise it was working for awhile but once i alt tabbed out again my pc shut down.

Today I turned on my pc like I did last night, I didn't even try to mess around with bios settings, everything was un-OC'd and all settings were the same, nothing was updated and nothing was deleted, I booted my pc up, seeing the screen displaying Anti-Surge detected a power surge and it decided to make me go in bios and mess with some stuff, okay I set everything to default, set my fan limits back to "ignore", then it runs on smoothly, after I booted up a game and played for around 5-10 minutes, it suddenly shuts down and reboots again, I thought it was a problem with my GPU, so I turned on Furmark and started a GPU test, the first time screwed it up immediately, after messing with some settings, I managed to run furmark with my GTX 1070 for 5-10 minutes and it was alright, I started browsing for more information about this situation but the pc suddenly shut down after browsing for 5 minutes, I started wondering if it was a timed reboot or something, it has never happened before for the past 2 months after I built my pc, here is my pc build : CPU : Intel i7-6700k MotherBoard : ASUS Maximus VIII Hero GPU : MSI GTX 1070 CPU Cooler : Corsair h100iv2 Power Supply : Corsair RMX750 Gold Full Modular RAM : HyperX Fury DDR4 16GB Memory Storages : 1. Hello everybody. Well, my PC seems to reboot itself when under heavy load. But it seems to only be doing it when I have SLI enabled, when it is Disabled or when I take out one of the two 970's, It does not reboot (I tested it with 20min Furmark and 10min Valley Benchmark) With SLI it can be a couple of seconds before it reboots, or it can be up to 15 minutes before it reboots. The GPU1 reached around 65C temp, the GPU2 Goes up to 80C but then goes up and down between 79C and 80C. I also tried turning the Power limit down to 80% and 50%, 80 it rebooted after a couple of minutes, 50% it rebooted immediately. I'm about to run a memtest to just check if it could be RAM related. Is the problem PSU related or what am I dealing with here? PC Specs: PSU: Cooler Master G750M GPU: 2x MSI GTX 970 CPU: i7 4790K RAM: 16GB SSHD: Seagate Desktop SSHD 1TB Motherboard: MSI Z97-Gaming 5

My computer keeps crashing randomly. By crashing no shut down procedure, nothing. It simply shuts off instantly. At the same time there is a small mechanical click from the computer (Most likely from the hard drive). About 3-5 seconds after it crashes like this it turns itself back on and tries to reboot. During this reboot process it may or may not crash. Usually it crashes at least one more time during the reboot, only to attempt to reboot itself again. It will simply keep crashing, rebooting until it eventually reboots the system. I ran sfc /scannow , like the people at Microsoft told me here. It said that that something was corrupt but it couldn't remove it and gave me an error code, 0x800f081f. If you have read the Microsoft forums, I don't believe that it is the GPU anymore because this person has the same problem. My rig is a custom built PC with an: AMD FX 8350 Vishera 16GB ram 2TB of storage (none raid) GTX 650 and GTX 570 (as a dedicated physx) 750W PSU and no overheating problems. I've included the CBS folder with the logs for anyone to look at on google drive since it doesn't let me copy the files here. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B6mdyWXXlHIZX2c1ZDZESmhtelk&usp=sharing *P.S.yes I know i copied some his text but I am having the exact same problem so dont judge me.

Hello you guys, My computer keeps restarting whenever I put it on stress. Mainly when playing graphic intensive games like Fallout 4. I've done some PSU test and within 1 minute it restarts. Even ran a bechmark test in GTA V and still restarts. Never had an issue with my pc 3 months ago so I assume it's happened just recently somehow. Checked my event logs and I've seen (translated): My spec is: CPU: Intel i5-4690K (not OC'ed) Coolor: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Motherboard: MSI B85M-E45 PSU: Cooler Master G750M Graphics Card: Gainward GTX 960 2GB (Factory OC'ed) Ram: 2x8 GB Crucial DDR3 BallistiX Sport Hard drives: 1xKingston SSDNow V300 120GB 2.5", 1xSeagate Desktop HDD ST500DM002 500GB, 1xSeagate Barracuda® 1TB Yes I also checked my temps - cpu stays max at 75 degrees and GPU at 80 degrees so nothing there. The only thing I can think of is the PSU as I've read similar problems. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

So i'll get straight to the point. My PC keeps rebooting off randomly after playing demanding games. I say randomly because during CS:GO it can sometimes last 1 game, sometimes 2, and sometimes not even 1. It varies from game to game. Before December, I used to run my PC with an AMD CPU and ASUS Motherboard but then upgraded to Intel. It was't intel(heh) that I started getting these random reboots. But even when I reinstalled the old motherboard and cpu, the problem still persist. So far I have tested the RAM and it passed. I have also stress tested both AMD and INTEL cpu's and they have passed. I also tested the GPU in 3DMark with no problems and it performs just as it should. This leaves me the the powersupply, It is a Enermax 650W powersupply that has worked fine since august of 2014 until this month. It has plenty of wattage for my current setup. Another thing to mention is torrenting. I have torrented a few things on the internet since I have received my new mobo and cpu. Is there a virus that has the capability to do this? That is all for now. Thank you if you have read to here! Would appreciate some help here.

Hello everyone, My Problem: Notebook reboots itself without warning. Event log: 6008 I’m from Brazil (sorry for my english) and i have the same notebook as MSI Laptop GT Series GT780DX-406US (its sold in a different brand here). Motherboard : MSI MegaBook GT780/GT783/GX780 Series (MS-1761) Bios Version: AMI (08/15/2011) CPU: I7 2670QM 2400mhz (With turbo boost disabled on bios) GPU: GeForce GTX570m 1.5gb (MSI) (stock clock) Memory: 2 x 4gb Kingston 9905428-089.a00g HDD: Samsung SSD 840 250gb OS: Windows 8.1 (with all the recommended updates) Story/Progress: My computer started to reboot itself without warning and keeps rebooting like 1 or 2 times… then it boots on windows. The event log i got when it happens - ID: 6008 (screenshot attached) And when it reboots when booting windows i got the kernel power ID: 41. The reboots happened when i was gaming… so i thought it was overheating issues of some sort. I cleaned the notebook inside changed the termal paste(twice) on the GPU and CPU (my cpu i already disabled the turbo boost because it overheats) I did some stress tests and the temperatures is normal bellow the TJmax) Then the other day i booted and started using chrome, watching youtube videos and reboots itself again. I thought it was GPU issue but the computer was still cold and gpu temperatures was in 47 degrees Celsius. I Did some benchmakrs with furmark, aida64 stress tests, etc. The computer worked fine in the time i was stress testing.. when i stopped and started doing other things, the computer started rebooting itself again. I formatted my SSD with a fresh windows install, kept rebooting… i changed to another HD(optical) with one memory Stick at a time.. at first i thought it was fine ( i played like 6 hours of League of legends and 1 hour of skyforge) in the other day i booted my computer and started playing skyForge for 1 hour then i left my computer AFK for 30min(still in the game) i resume playing after 1min the computer Rebooted itself. ( It happens connected in the power and in the battery) I already sent to to the technical assistance of my reseller, they said they were not sure and thought it is a memory dim and the graphics card (invoice: R$2000 ~= 750 USD) to buy another 4gb stick and a GTX570m to replace. I refused the replacement of those components because it was expensive and i think it’s not worth for a old notebook like mine. So now i’m trying to troubleshoot again.. and asking the internet for help. I already stress tested the memory, cpu and gpu all seems to work fine, only sometimes it rebooted when doing furmark. Any ideias or suggestions of what can i do?

Problems such as: computer rebooting constantly driver crashing freezing etc Edit: If so, you should purchase a motherboard with a different chipset and see if it's any different. I believe the reason you're having this problem is because of your motherboard.

My current rig: ASUS P8Z68-V PRO Intel Core i7-2600K 4 sticks of G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Gigabyte 980 ti Samsung 850 PRO SSD EVGA P2 1000WATT PSU Windows 10 64bit So my issue is my computer randomly reboots while playing video games. So far it occurs mostly while playing Battlefield 4, watching twitch,tv (after playing video games). For some odd reason I can play other games such as GTA5, Batman Arkham Knight, Counter-Strike GO, and several others for hours on end experiencing a single issue. Drivers are up to date, Windows has been reformatted several times, event logger is showing a Kernel 41 power failure. After looking into the Kernel 41 power failure it seems that it is a generic error produced when your computer reboots. I have reformatted Windows 7 twice and still experienced the issue. I then upgraded to Windows 10 on a fresh install and I am still experiencing the issue. I thought it might have been my power supply (Corsair 850 watt), and I replaced it with my EVGA P2 1000 watt (overkill I know). I found out out it was not my power supply, then I changed out several power strips and outlets and determined that was not the cause. I am truly at a loss I have no idea what is causing this issue. Any ideas are welcome, and I thank you for your help in advance!

Hey everyone, Only recently my PC started doing some things I don't really like.... During some games it just restarts out of the blue. With a pop from my audio interface turning off the screen goes black and 3 seconds later it just reboots like I just pressed the power button. Pretty straight forward. So I was thinking this must be either my PSU or any of the components overheating. Turns out my CPU wasn't overheating for sure, since I was streaming with the temps on-screen (to check) and when it happened all 4 cores where <55*C I got a new MSI GTX 970 like 3 weeks ago. This problem didn't start happening when I immediatly got it but 2 weeks or so after. It already has quite loud coil whine :^) Another weird thing is that I played BF4 today all day and nothing happened, now that I maxed out my CPU with streaming it did happen. I forgot to add: No overclocks on both the GPU and CPU (after this problem started occuring I turned them off immediatly) Does anyone know what could cause this problem and what would be the best way to start troubleshooting? Any help at all would be very much appreciated Specs:

Hey guys, I recently recommended a Gigabyte motherboard (GA-78LMT-USB3 rev 5.0) and the FX 6300 for a friend who was upgrading his PC on a budget. He got them and once we finished installing everything, we turned it on, it posted and detected everything. CPU, RAM and hard drives. I changed IDE to AHCI, the boot priorities and went on to install Windows 7, everything went great, Windows finished the installation process, reeboted, I was already like "Done, here's your new PC, enjoy." but just entering Windows, no drivers installed yet, it reboots immediately. Reboot after reboot just turning it on. Everything appears to be working but we just can't get Windows to work. What could this be? Also, What is most probable to be at fault here, the motherboard or the CPU?

So, I have a PC that restarts its self. A LOT. But I don't know why! It has been working ok-ish for ~4 years and this started 1 week ago. It presents me with a black screen, no warning, error or anything similar. Then it reboots. It did it when launching Skyrim, Portal2 and Hearthstone and did it while running TF2, Portal 2 (if it launches), Avast's scan, Defraggler and even Chrome! I've cleaned it and its temperatures, even under full load, staying bellow 80 (overastimated) 60 celcius, but for the GPU hitting a 68-69 on FurMark. I've uninstalled unwanted crap, ccleaned (+registry), defraglered (both run in safe mode) and scanned for viruses on startup (as it crashes with Windows on, even in safe mode). I've run MemTest (twice) and it showed 0 problems. I've used Intel's testing utility and it showed no problems. I've run FurMark and the gpu runs cool (at 68-69 celcius, even though FM is running at <1fps) and stable. I connected my HDD on the pc and it rebooted its self again, so it's not an OS or HDD issue. Tomorrow morning I'll try my PSU on it as well. So, if it restarts with my PSU as well, is there a way to make sure that the problem is the MoBo? (I don't have one to check it) And is there anything about the other parts I can/should check? OS: WinXP 32bit CPU: Core2Duo E7500 RAM: 2x1Gb @800MHz MoBo: ASUS P5KPL-AM SE GPU: ATI Radeon HD5570 (latest Driver, had problem even before updating) HDD: A 300Gb Western Digital PSU:Lattice LC-8450BTX 450W, no specified power efficiency. Also its fan died and it has been switched with a new one, connected on the old one's cables with black tape.

Ok so here is my issue which started about three weeks ago. I first got my pc back in March which worked fine until now. It was winter time back then and my pc was running Crysis 3, COD: Ghosts, Minecraft, AC4 and every other game perfectly fine with no issues at all. Then I realized when it started to get warmer my pc would get hotter and hotter. Back in the winter on my case the max the tempature ever went was 23.0C but now in the summer the max tempature it said so far was 35.3C. The only game I could run on my pc was Minecraft. Then when I tried to run COD: Ghosts 10 minutes into playing my pc reboots ( no BSOD or any error messages ) except the windows shutdown to prevent information loss and if I wanted to run in safe mode or normaly. Then when cleaning my pc to try and fix the problem I accidently pressed a button on the back called clear cmos and I had to reinstall windows, overclock and download drivers all over. Then I decided to take out the ram and put it back in it but only 12gb or ram would show up and not 16gb. So I put the ram sticks in one by one and I reliazed one of the ram slots didn't recognize my ram so kept the ram stick out of that slot and ran the pc and it showed 12gb of ram. My pc specs are: Intel I7 4820K 3.7ghz (Overclocked to 4.2) 16gb of Xpg Adata Ram 1000 Watt Raidmark PSU With 80 Plus Gold Msi GTX 770 2gb Asrock X79 Extreme 4 Motherboard 2Tb Western Digital Hard Drive 4 Case Fans Stock CPU Fan Also when not playing games my GPU is at 46C and when playing COD: Ghosts my processor highest tempature was 61C and my GPU highest tempature was at 81C. In the winter I had no problems at all so I don't know what the problem is now. All help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.
