Hi, I installed F1 2021 and GTA V and I can launch them via the steam library but they are not showing up in Windows Search. This means every time I try to launch one of those games I need to open Steam, go to that game and click launch, instead of pressing WIN and searching for that game... Anyone knows what I can do to fix this?

I have been building PC for years, and never been so confused about at RAM problem before. Hope that someone can explain why my RAM only will work as single instead of dual. I bought a used ASUS Rog Strix Z370-F Gaming, and put in at Core i9-9900K, and since the board is a dual memory design, I went home with Crucial Ballistix DDR4-3600 C16 DC 2x16GB. The manual says to use A2 and B2 slot for the two RAM sticks. But the MB won't boot, when the RAM is A2 & B2. There is simply no post, and the DRAM_LED lits up orange. I went and tried one stick at a time, and found that it will only post when B1 and B2 is used, making it use single channel, which sucks since I need dual channel for speed in Adobe Lightroom. Have I missed something here, or is the RAM slots not working?

Almost a year ago I had bought a SteelSeries Arctis 5 headphone. The 5 comes with a pretty long cable, ( I think almost 3 meters long). Any normal person would think that the cable is good and that it is some kind of premium quality, "special" long cable, but that is not the case at all. The cable that I got torn apart and got unusable after a few weeks and I had to order another one. I have tried to get some help on their Reddit, "unfortunately" it got removed for no reason by one of the moderators. The Images below are real. If you want to buy a new cable, you have to at least spend 10 euros on the pack. Although the cable of the Arctis 5 is much worse than horrible, the headphone it self is great. It has a good mic, and beautiful LED lights. Just to be clear I did use the cables as it was intended to be. I did not stretch or did anything else with it. UPDATE: The cable that I bought a few months ago torn apart, not as much as the last one, but it still did.

Ok so the past 2 days ive been having some weird problems with my pc where ill play a game and then itll freeze randomly and just restart my pc, and i dont even know how to fix it anymore. For example ill load genshin impact and play 20 seconds of it, the game freezes, crashes and then the pc restarts mid crash. So far i've tried the following: -Updated drivers and BIOS -Ran Windows memory diagnostics -Reinstalled and uninstalled games -Changes the Processor power management (90 for minimum and 95 to maximum) -Checked Windows Reliability History (didnt help much since i have no clue what any of that means but i included a photo for anyone that cares) The only thing that i can try now is uninstalling all the drivers from my graphics card and reinstalling them, and if that doesnt work then i might just wipe my pc clean and start over, since i dont know whats causing the problems at this point. Heres the specs if needed: CPU:Ryzen 5 3600 + Stock cooler GPU:ASUS GEFORCE RTX 2060 DUAL FAN Motherboard:Asus B450-F RAM:Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x8gb Case:Corsair 220t PSU:Cooler Master MasterWatt 650w Memory:Kingston A2000 1TB Help is much appreciated

So I have a couple games crashing on me, sometimes during heavy load, sometimes when simply doing an install or while just idling. (ARK, Valorant, Sea of Thieves, Apex Legends etc.) I reached out to some of my community members and friends and there seems to be a consensus that it wasn't just the games that's acting up but also the PC itself which was built 7 years ago. I agree. However some of them said it could be a bad power supply. This baffled me. how can a power supply, that carries no data and only supplies pure voltage to the components cause games to crash? Is there such a thing? Granted it is a locally sourced part that came with my v. cheap case and it isn't exactly rated nicely or anything. But I can't wrap my head around how a psu can affect software. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Hi, I'm new to this forum. EVGA GTX1070 ICX SC2 + 8700K here. I have had this configuration for some years now and it has been working perfectly. No complaints whatsoever. The last thing I changed in the PC was replacing the old 840Pro with a 970Evo. That was roughly 6 months ago, and the computer was working flawlessly since, as it was working flawlessly before. Until yesterday. While playing Cities Skylines, I went to the bathroom. When I returned I found the computer reset, with Windows login screen. Hm. I logged in, started the game again. After 10 or 15 minutes of play, the computer simply resets itself, as if there was a short power outage. No warning, no BSODs, nothing. I checked event logs - nothing of significance there. It just says the computer shut down unexpectedly. Then I tried another game: Metro Exodus. The same story: works perfectly and after some minutes - restart. But then there was something else: the computer restarted immediately after I typed my Windows password and startup programs were still loading up! Yikes! After several attempts, I managed to reach the desktop. Experimentally, I didn't start any game and just casually browsed. Nothing happened. Then I started several CPU and GPU stress-tests. Nothing. When I CLOSED the Furmark test - it reset again! Desperate (I use the PC for work too!) I removed the 1070 and connected the monitor to the onboard Intel video. No restarts. This morning I tore the PC apart, dusted it off, reseat every card and connector, returned the 1070, started the PC and started a game. Half an hour in - it works great. I thought I solved it. And then - restart! Please help. Any suggestion is welcome.

Hi, so the quick back story... I switched my GTX 1060 6gb with my Friends RX 5500xt 4gb because it got way to loud under noice for him. So now I have the RX 5500xt which should be better in games, even if only by a few fps. I properly installed the GPUs, and did a full uninstall of the drivers before. The Problem now is; The Rx 5500xt 4gb is performing way lower then the GTX 1060 6gb in all Games that I play. And I mean WAY lower. With the 1060 I was able to play Apex for example at FULL HD at Mid-High settings at about 144fps, with the 5500xt I am struggeling to get the 30fps on super low. In other Games I also have this problem but not to this extend. But it is still noticable, about 40fps less at least then the GTX 1060. I tried a new and clean drivers install, the drivers are updatet and I tried stuff in the AMD driver but nothing worked. I looked online but couldn't find a lot about it. Im not using my internal grafics and my Windows is not set on power saving mode. (Yes I have enough cooling) My PC specs: Ryzen 3 3200g @ 3,95 Ghz 3200mhz 16gb dual channel RAM @ 2400Mhz (because some games crash if its on XMP) Aorus Gaming M Matx MB 650w Platinum Seasonic PSU RX 5500xt 4GB Samsung 970 EVO M.2

Hello, I upgraded mi pc to a Ryzen 7 5800x and Aorus B550 elite, it works really good but the problem I encounter when I was installing all my programs for first time is that first Ryzen master won't install, like the installer doesn't even finish to open and closes, no pop-ups, no error signs, nothing, I've tried some "fixes" and nothing. Also, I couldn't install any torrent downloaders like Utorrent or Bittorrent (Not an issue with antiviruses), same time I don't have the Nvidea control panel installed, and I can't install it, it works well without it, but it's just weird that this programs just won't install. If you have any tips that are not reinstalling windows (that's my last resort) I would really appreciate!!

So I'm having a problem that I have never encountered and I never heard of it before now. So when I go to turn my computer off, Windows does it's "Shutting Down" phase when it shuts down all of its process's and Windows does shut down and my monitors shut down automatically like how they're supposed to. But my computer doesn't shutdown. My mouse, keyboard, microphone, fans, etc. are still running. The only way I managed to turn it off is just to turn off the PSU or unplug it from the wall after Windows shuts down. I also have problems when restarting the computer also. When I restart the computer, it does actually shut down all of the way, (here come's the interesting part) but when it tries to start back up. It freezes in the Startup Screen. It ain't the starting up loading icon, it just sits on the screen where it says think such as press DEL to enter Bios or press END to enter Q-Flash. I even tried to press those keys also, but nothing happens. If I forced to do a restart (Windows Update), once it reaches that screen I have to kill the power to the computer like I do when turning off the computer. What do I have to do to fix this. could I flash a new Bios (I have a Gigabyte AX370M-DS3H motherboard running ver. F23 or do I need to do something else?

Long story short, my pc shuts down for unknown reason, monitor, keyboard, etc shuts down. Pc fans still running, motherboard, gpu, and other lighting still lit up. Tried basic fixes such as chaning the motherboards 2032 battery, restarting pc, turning the power off then back on, such and such, with no results. In (way) more detail: So, ive been having some issues with my PC lately. These issues started about 4-5 days ago, and have been active since. My computer seemingly freezes randomly and unexpectedly for unknown reason. My screen freeezes, headset shuts off, keyboard and mouse shuts off too. Yet my pc keeps working as in lighting up with fans still running. The first time it happened i had just barely touched one of the fans because it was making some noise, and by lightly tapping on it, i fixed it, and it became silent again. Then after a minute or so i looked back on the monitor and it had freezed. Then i turned it off/back on, and then the monitor (and everything else) didnt start. I tried turning down the power completely by pulling out the plug, then restarted it again, but same thing happened, everything was still not powering on (except the pc fans and lights). The day after i tried the same things again, didnt work. Then i got a tip to replace a "2032 battery" in the motherboard, incase that was the problem. I did that, and unexpectedly the monitor started again. I had to set up some BIOS settings, and then it worked again... for a short while. I started using the pc as usual again, and played some games. Then unexpectedly it shuts down again, freeze frame and everything else shutting down too (except pc). Now its just been working and then shutting down ever since with seemingly no pattern. I built the pc about 3 years ago with at the time really good components. The gpu is a 1080 geforce something, i7 4core cpu, strix z270f motherboard (1151 socket), supernova 850watt g2 psu, 2x 16gb ddr4 ram (fast ones, i dont remember exact numbers), 1 3tb (not so fast) harddrive aswell as a ssd2 fast 500gb second harddrive. I believe thats it, and all the info that i could think off that might help.

So i have had the vg259q for over 2 days now and i hate the screen quality or filter tremendously. I love every thing else about it likes its wonderful build quality and its nice matte finish and of course the gaming advantages. But waoh! its hard to read test on this thing. Its like i staring into a 720p moniter because of the huge pixels. i cant stand the blurry pixels, it gives me a fat headache. I hope there is some sort of setting because i really want to fix the blurryness of this monitor. Thank you if u have any suggestions because i am contemplating one whether i should or not return this moniter and get a differnet one, Plus: the elmb makes the colors on the screen distorted and weird looking. Thank You If You Choose To Help Me. Also sorry if i may have any spelling or grammar errors i cant read on this.

So I purchased a 3070 recently due to me wanting the upgrade for it and I'm finally able to play some games again but in the mean time I tried to play same games and realized my 1050 Ti isn't showing up nor are the fans spinning but yet Nvidia control panel still shows it connected and the monitor that it is connected to works just fine. Any advice? I'm asking before my 3070 gets here because I want to know if it is a GPU issue, a driver issue (Which I doubt I downloaded all the new drivers for everything with driver booster.) Or something else entirely like the PSU. The screenshots will show what I mean.

Hello everyone, I managed to get an RTX 3090 Aorus Master ( finally ) (it's not just for gaming, I do 3D modelling, real time preview rendering and video editing) I wanted to know if anyone here got one too, to compare our GPU-Z's datas. For example my Idle GPU Temperature is between 40 and 45, at first I thought that was too high, I thought maybe it should be in the 30 - 35°, but then I saw that it was actually good compared to other cards, here's a link https://www.techpowerup.com/review/msi-geforce-rtx-3090-gaming-x-trio/31.html Then I had an idea: let's talk about our 3090 Aorus Master cards, If we encounter any problem etc, should be a good idea to post here so that we try to figure out our problems! Here's my first problem: Yesterday while I was playing League of Legends, the 3 screens lost signal, turned black and the gpu fans ramp up at 100% I think (very loud) I had to reboot the pc to be able to to something. I got super scared, as this card is my worktool now not just for playing, does anyone have an idea of what happened ? I saw some topics similar to what happened to me but everyone is saying something different (but everytime related to a game) Here's my parts: -CPU: AMD 3950x -CPU Cooler: Dark Rock Pro 4 -MB: Asus TUF Gaming Plus x570 -GPU: RTX 3090 Aorus Master -PSU: Cooler Master MWE 750 +80 BRONZE Does anyone have an idea of what it could be ? Driver issues ? I hope that poeple who have this card(even not) will participate to this topic so that we help each others! Thank you for reading and have a great day

Hi so a very nice friend of mine just put together his first ever PC build. Unfortunately for him he's getting no display from the system to the monitor, so I'm making this post on his behalf. So far the fixes he has tried are: Swapping monitors Re-Seating RAM Re-Seating GPU Re-Seating CPU Swapping PSUs Installing new drivers for the GPU Some sort of BIOS intervention, he didn't quite explain very well, but it involved the included CD with the Mobo Some extra information: The system is using a recycled GPU from his last system, which works fine. (1050 TI as a stand-in until he can get a better card) All components are brand new or re-used from his previously functioning system. Old PSU was an unspecified 500 Watt ATX with some compatibility issues. New PSU is a Gigabyte p550b with no said compatibility issues The monitor is also re-used, and works fine. All cables are plugged in correctly There is no error code, the monitor is simply blank. The fans on both the GPU and CPU cooler are spinning, as well as the case fans. The display is plugged into the GPU, not the motherboard. CPU has no onboard graphics, so plugging into the MB would not work. Parts list that I know of: PSU: See above GPU: Re-used but functional 1050 ti RAM: OLOy warhawk 2 X 8 GB @ 3200 MHZ CPU: Ryzen 3 3100 (He wanted the 5 2600, but it was unavailable) MB: M-ATX A520m Storage: Solid state (Only SATA I think, not sure what model.) I'll pass on any ideas to him, and give an update if any worked / there's more information needed. Thanks guys!

It turned on and everything was fine i uninstalled the old drivers and installed the new ones for the 3070, when suddenly the screen went black with a white line flashing, then everytime i booted it up after that it went through the option to enter the bios then went to the same black screen with the white line then after that it went off. Now it wont even turn on the display, when i boot it up all the rgb and fans work for everything but nothing comes up on my display. I have tried reinstalling the GPU and reseating the RAM. I have no clue what it could be since it worked the first time round after booting everything up to now when it doesnt. Ok, so about 2 weeks ago my ethernet connection began being unstable. But here's the thing, WIFI still works great and other machines on the network (Even connected to the same switch and router) don't experience this problem. Running a contiuos ping to the router 192.168.1.1 shows 1 to 2 pings with time >1 ms then a couple of timeouts and then repeat. Three days ago my PC just does a hard shutdown randomly (usually about every 45 minutes) ones or twice then works great for maybe 3 hours or even another day then the problem comes back. Things that I have tried: - Cleaning the PC, - Disassembly and Reassembly of the PC - Rebooting of switch, router and PC -Changed and tested the network cable Things that I have planned to try: - Swap the PSU - Maybe try another graphics card? Specs should be in my profile but I can list the basic ones here: - i7-6700k @ 4.6Ghz - MSI 1080 Aero - 32Gb Corsair 2666Mhz Ram - Bunch of disks - Corsair RM1000x PSU Thanks in advance for any help!
