So I have a printer and the power cable sticks out like a sort thumb. This goes for the weird USB port as well. This is a roya plain the ass ad I can't put it flush again the wall and it takes up valuable desk space. I remember watching ITX build videos and noticed that some of the PSUs had 90° adapters. I was wondering is this something I could buy and use. Additionally is there such an adapter for that weird USB Port on the back?

I have a HP Laserjet printer. Router is the TP-Link AC1200 On its own the printer is only capable of printing with a wired connection to a host device. However seeing as how there is a USB-Type B to Type A cable and that there is a USB port on the back my router, i was wondering if it was possible to "link" the two so that when connected to my wifi network the router would forward the print order to the printer? I believe its called a print server if i'm not mistaken. The thing is after a gruelling reset of my router and some digging the only settings related to my router's USB port are related to USB storage. Nothing about printing. Any suggestions on what to do? Also what the hell is that "Time Machine" setting???

3rd times the charm. ok so i have a WIRED laserjet printer that only prints when my laptop is plugged in via USB. Now the thing is I had a wireless printer before and I miss the convenience of printing from wherever I was in the house. (ik it sounds stupid since i have to collect the paper anyway but lets ignore that) So my question is is there anyway i can make it wireless or send print jobs to it wirelessly? Cuz its wired i cant print from my phone( already tried using an adapter) and i have to send the print job to my laptop, carry laptop to printer and its very annoying. My router doesn't support print server functionality so that's not gonna happen.

After doing nozzle check on my printer and see the test result, the black nozzle seems to be clogged so I do system cleaning using Canon My Printer Software. After that this error code pops out it says "an error occured 5B00" Because of that problem I went to the internet to fix it, I tried to attemp to reset the printer by holding the stop button and then hold the power button then pressing the stop button like on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wo_suktXOE, after that the yellow indicator light went off so I think its normal again. But when I try to print it still showing the same error code and the yellow light turns on again. Printer is not working I can't print anything, when I try to print the error code 5B00 shows and the orange light blink 7 times like this https://youtu.be/2wo_suktXOE?t=5 Do you know whats wrong with it and why it happend? I assume the black nozzle gets clogged so it doesnt work. Any answer will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, LTT Forum. Product Name: HP Photosmart D110a Product Model: CN731A#B1H Firmware: TUL1FN1151AR Error described: Blue HP LCD screen showing power button symbol with error text of "B85A5D7C" below symbol. Specialty notes: holding power power button does not power cycle device. Physically unplugging, waiting 10 seconds, and plugging the device back into AC power does not resolve. HP Notes: when contacting HP, they stated that this error "B85A5D7C" indicated a hardware failure and that they suggested purchasing a new printer. No information was available online regarding this error as of posting. Similar blue screen LCD messages on HP's forums all stated hardware failures and suggested the purchasing of a new printer. Resolution method: physically unplug printer, remove ink cartridge, plug printer back in. You will receive an error regarding no ink inserted. Please then insert ink cartridge and cancel ink alignment. You may now re-align the ink via tool settings (if desired) as well as print.

God help me i'm losing me fooking mind. Actually wait this is a printer, God himself probably couldn't figure it out. Hello there, I need some help with the accursed portal to the digital realm that is the printer. Context: Printer is a WIRED LaserJet from HP I have been told there is a way to sort of make it wireless by plugging it into a router that supports sharing the printer (Print server) I just got hold of a new router that came when i switched ISPs that i think supports this functionality. the router that I'm trying to connect my printer to is the Huawei HG8145V5 or Revision/Version 5 of the HG8145 model. this^ is the settings panel for the USB port. The first 2 seem to be about storage devices which i don't need. the 3rd one, UPnP, seems to be what im looking for. As you can see^ i have already enabled it and the printer is currently plugged in to the USB port but whenever i try to run a test print nothing happens. Furthermore, i cant seem to find my printer inseide "Devices & Printers" (oh wait, omfg im so dumb, of course it wont print anything). soooo what do i do now?

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a good replacement AIO printer or point me in the direction of a good review site for such printers? I've been using this printer for a good 7 years and now when I print, I keep hearing gears like grinding or something. I'm looking for an AIO with a good scanner and also auto duplex function for printing double sided. Many thanks!

Posted it on HP boards but got no anwser and I'm on bit of a hurry. Sometimes the coumputers on the network can't find the scanner and I have to reinstall the the driver, not at the sametime, from time to time one computer loses the ability to use the scanner but not the printer. But my problem right now is: it scan the first page but when I try to scan more pages it says that there is a error of connections. I tried rebooting the printer/scanner and the computers. not at the sametime, from time to time one computer loses the ability to use the scanner but not the printer. There is no problem printing, but scanning is always giving me problems. A few more informations: I running Windows 10 Pro and a i5 8400 on all the computers and they are connected to the network by wire throught a router(or a switch, I don't know I have both and a modem to handle my office local network and phones).

Windows 10 x64 im having trouble finding a driver for my old HP PSC 1410 printer. i have tried the drivers from hp's website, but the installation ends in a fatal error, i have tried multiple differnet drivers from "add a printer". the scanning works tho. also, i tried installing HPLIP on my ubuntu vm, and the printing worked, so im 100% sure its a driver error. if i install the hp universal printing driver pcl 5, when i press print, it spools but it immediately passes the printing stage. please help.

Hello, I have an Alarm System that can output messages via a serial printer. How could I use a Raspberry Pi to read those messages that the Alarm System outputs? Is all I need a USB Serial adapter and some code? Or do I need special software to make the Pi pretend to be a printer? Thanks!

Hello, I booted up my 2020 13" MBP running macOS Catalina 10.15.7 today and was greeted with a macOS dialog box saying what's in the title of this post. The dialog box would show up every few seconds after dismissing it. Ran a scan with Malwarebytes and no threats were detected. Did some searching and came across this HPForum post: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Errors-or-Lights-Stuck-Print-Jobs/Message-quot-HPDeviceMonitoring-framework-will-damage-your/td-p/7824355 Guy by the name of IronBadger (alleged Employee of HP) provides a link to download HP Easy Start which you can then use to remove existing HP software from your Mac. I uninstalled everything and after a restart the warning went away. Iron Badger claims that the issue is the result of out of date software (the security certificates have expired). Hopefully anyone else who is experiencing this can find this thread and move on.

Hello! I'm having some issues with any and all browsers crashing when trying to print to any printer, whether its a non-network connected printer, a network printer, or even Microsoft Print to PDF. This issue occurs on all browsers (Edge, Chrome, FireFox), but not on any other software (Adobe PDF works fine, any Microsoft 365 application, etc). When I send the print job, the browser immediately freezes, the printer shows up in Print Queue, shows that its Spooling, browser crashes, then the print job deletes itself. (In the case of Microsoft Print to PDF, it's status is "Paused" upon crashing) What I've tried to fix the issue: Removed printer and printer driver using Print Management application (Of the printers connected via Network or wired). Reset spooler svc in Task Manager Reset Spooler svc using CMD Prompt Updated Windows OS Build My specs are as follows Version 10.0.19044 Build 19044 Other OS Description Not Available OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation System Manufacturer Dell Inc. System Model Latitude 7420 System Type x64-based PC Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1185G7 @ 3.00GHz, 1805 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) BIOS Version/Date Dell Inc. 1.14.1, 12/18/2021 SMBIOS Version 3.2 Embedded Controller Version 255.255 BIOS Mode UEFI BaseBoard Manufacturer Dell Inc. Any other suggestions welcome. I'll even re-do some of the troubleshooting I've tried if you think that I might have done it wrong.

Hello everyone I have a certain and weirdly unstable printing issue with my Epson Stylus Photo R3000. Before i describe the issue I'll say that i have already tried to replace the cartridges, the paper type and i have done the cleaning routine multiple times. So the issue goes like this: After a month or three not printing with the printer, and thus it worked fine before and there was still plenty of inkt left, i wanted to print a picture for a certain even that required a high quality picture on photo paper. But when i printed the picture in premium photo mode(or any other photo paper type for that matter) it didn't print the picture correct, it was like a picture with a ghost, more on the black and white side then color but still color because there was blue. So i did a printer head test and indeed yellow and pink didn't print. i did a few cleaning cycles and nothing happened. after like 10 cycles( and a lot of ink gone), another color disappeared, yes disappeared. So i kept doing the cycles in hope to get the colors back. but it was in vein, even worse almost all colors are gone now except for blue and black. sometimes a color reappears but not completely and then disappears again. This is a really weird phenomenon i can not understand. I also cleaned the ink pads in the right and left(because for some reason it also uses left side to clean, idk why but ye) and i also cleaned the wiper for the head. The head itself is also cleaned to the best of my ability and the ability of a paper towels. Does anyone know how to solve this and/or why this is happening? Its very frustrating cause it is supposed to be a good quality machine Already big thanks for reading this.

Hello everyone, I wanted your guys help on fixing a issue my printer has been having for a couple of days. My printer is a canon pixma g3260, and it has been printing fine for a few days and all of a sudden it started printing like lines on the paper. It mainly has a issue when I print the color black but this would happen to some colors too. Looked at canon's website to find nothing about how to fix this issue when printing. My second issue i have is when printing on my brand new windows computer, the print would appear lighter then it should be. I didn't have this issue when I printed on my Chromebook and I wanted to find a way on printing on my windows pc instead of printing on my Chromebook. Anything would help!

Not sure if this is the right sub-forum considering there's no "printer" section in "consumer electronics". Apologies if it is. Hi everyone, my HP Officejet 5220 has failed me. It is printing incomplete pages with faded colour despite new ink cartridges being installed. I am looking to buy a new printer for home use. And would like the community's recommendations. I occasionally print photos on photo paper, so it should be able to do that. I'm not too picky about the photo colour (for example it does not have to have the best of the best colour printing, but decent would suffice). It needs to have wireless functions and built in scanning and copying capabilities. I am aware theat there sre ink jet and ink tank printers around. But i don't know too much about their pros and cons to have a preference. As long as it can last long and not break the bank when I have to buy ink cartridges / ink bottles. Looking forward to your suggestions!

Hi there everyone, I've just recently bought a Datamax-O'Neil E-4205A E-Class Thermal Printer off of eBay, and I'm having some issues trying to connect to my network. Using direct Ethernet, it connects fine and is discoverable if I put the printer's IP into a browser, but I need to use a network switch to make the distance over to where it is going to be living. Using a Netgear GS108E managed switch, I can't get it to connect at all to the network. According to the switch, it's sending and receiving packets, but I'm getting nothing when I put the IP into a browser or when I print a test page off of the printer. I was trying to change the duplex speed of the printer and switch to see if it was a speed issue, but I found no luck. Lastly, I tried changing the IP settings from DHCP to static, and when I did that I must've messed something up because it's not discoverable at all now, even with a direct connection. The printer works flawlessly using USB, but I'd prefer to use Ethernet. I guess I have 2 problems: Figure out a way to switch back to DHCP Figure out why network switch is preventing connection to the network Not sure if this matters, but my operating system is EndeavourOS with kernel 6.1.2, and I have an Arris G36 modem/router. Thank you all in advance.

Hi all- I am looking to replace our Epson XP-830 printer as the thing is literally always out of ink or broken (prints lines through my print). I've tried doing the head clean the alignment all the different troubleshooting tips to try and fix the printer. It fixes it for about 10 prints and then it does it again. I am not sure if this is because we are not using the printer enough or what. The printer probably gets used about once per week, mostly for printing things like eBay labels, but also for the occasional picture. I want to sell this printer we have and replace it with something more reliable and that still has good picture quality. The budget is around $400. I am open to buying printers on eBay if they are normally a $800+ printer, sometimes they can be found on eBay Open Box for around $400. I was looking at the Epson Ecotanks since you can refill the ink with the bottles instead of spending a bazillion dollars on their proprietary cartridges, but I think I hate Epson and dont really want to give them any more business. Is there really a big difference in quality of the print between a color laser printer and an inkjet printer? I've found a lot of conflicting information online. I was thinking about getting a laser printer since people say the quality seems to be better and they seem to be more reliable from my experience. For the most part I am printing in monochrome, but sometimes I need the ability to print in decent quality for some photos. This is why color is a must have. I would also prefer a printer that has the copier on the top for the occasional copies I need to make. For the laser printers on Consumer Reports I read that the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw and the Brother MFC-L3770CDW are both rated well, the brother being half the price however. This is so overwhelming and there are too many variables to take into consideration. I know someone will recommend just getting a thermal printer for my eBay labels, but those things are like $300 and I don't sell nearly enough stuff to justify the cost of that.

NOTE: i recently bought black ink refill (laser refill idk) form a 3rd party seller because im not paying HP 50$ to be ripped off i have used a 3rd party ink refill before this (new one is from a different seller) but i really hope that isnt the case. I have a HP LaserJet M102a (non wireless) printer and its being a naughty printer. Tried to print some files on PC, windows recognizes there is a printer, windows print queue sends the print job to the printer, but it immediately errors out the printer doesn't make any attempt to print either. i have HP Smart, but it does not detect the printer is there at ALL, windows does but not HP's own app. Same thing happened a few weeks ago (i dont print very often) and when i switched to my laptop it printed fine I tried to print from my laptop this time and my laptop is having the same issue. Hp smart doesnt detect but windows does. I went to HP's own site to downlaod any drivers i might need or missed. downloaded it and i get this error from the installer In windows update there is this HP USB driver that keeps erroring and wont download So this driver is either already installed or less compatible basically making it moot in my problem. It doesn't strictly seem to be a software issue since windows should have completed the print anyways. The only thing i can think of is maybe the cable but if so the printer wouldnt be detected by windows at all in the first place so im at a complete loss at wtf is going on Any help and advice is much appreciated

Here's a real head scratcher : I have an old pc running on windows 7 Small Business Edition that I upgrade to 10. I'm planning to use it as a printer server pc. After installing the driver for the printer on my print server pc, I shared the printer and thought that was it. However, when i got back to my own pc that's running on windows 11, I can see the print server pc in my network, but when I try to access it, it asked me for username and password although i already disabled password protected sharing in the print server pc. When I finally managed to access the print server pc, I can see the shared printer but when I click on connect, it throws an error.

I have an Old Canon Image Class MF3010 all in one Laser printer and Scanner. I use it maybe once a quarter. Lately it's been showing error code E202. Which points to issue in scanner. I tried replacing the scanner (CCD) cable but it didn't worked out. I don't want to invest any more money on it but on the same time I was looking if there's anyway I can just use to print documents rather than tossing the whole unit out. I had once wiped out the scanner head and it worked for few days. Since it shows error code for scanner it doesn't print either. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

So we stupidly enrolled in HP Instant Ink which as a service is a massive scam because we must have paid hundreds of pounds for a couple ink cartridges, but now that we have ended it the printer won't work with those cartridges (it comes up with an error message telling you to enroll in this service). We have got a new printer so I don't need to use these cartridges (a friend had a spare printer) but these are unused ink cartridges so it would be annoying to see them go to waste. What can I do with them? I'm in the UK so services here would be very useful.

So my HP Envy 5330 series Inkjet printer has started to print blanks I have already tried refilling the cartridges (for the first time) and ensuring they are not clogged. Any suggestions as to what I can do???
