Hello all I've been getting a lot of helpful answers out of the forums and I wanted to know if anyone has run into this issue of mine. I just set up my new PC, which has the following specs: - ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI II - Ryzen 7 5800x - MSI RTX 3060 (12GB) - 2 x 8 GB G.SKILL Ripjaws - SAMSUNG NVMe SSD 980 (500 GB) Armoury crate has run just fine, I believe I have all the necessary drivers installed, I had to manually install LAN and Wireless on the machine before it went ahead and installed the rest on its own. As of right now I'm trying to launch several applications such as games and what not on the PC, but nothing is actually being launched, I double click and then see no reaction at all. I tried other methods of launching apps such as run as administrator or going through the Microsoft store / Xbox app and trying to launch games that I had just installed to try them out or see if the problem belonged to only one application or set of programs. But all to no avail as I have received unhelpful notifications saying the launch had failed. The PC is fresh with a clean SSD that had nothing but windows 10 pro and Armoury crate (ASUS) programs/drivers installed, so I'm not too sure if I messed something up or did not set something up properly. I'm guessing it's the latter since everything else works fine, PC detected all parts and the live feed of usage and what not is all there. Sorry for the long read, any advice would be appreciated!

Hello, On Wednesday I'm going to put my name down for a 6800 XT non-reference card at one of the local stores (Canada Computers or Memory Express) here in Vancouver. I've been following the news and know that I'll likely be waiting for weeks, if not months, before I get my hands on one. At this point I don't really mind which of the 6800 XT AIB partners I end up with, I just want whichever one is available the earliest. The issue is retailers do not allow backordering this way, I cannot just say "I'll take the first 6800 XT that is available, regardless of the brand". I have to put my name down for a specific one. I'm therefore trying to do a bit of research in terms of which AIB partners will be manufacturing 6800 XT's for distribution in Canada. I'm not sure if it is worth researching which AIB partners have historically had highest launch or near-launch numbers, and put my name down for one near the top. These are unprecedented times so maybe looking back is a waste of time, but right now I kinda feel like I'm blind and trying to pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey-GPU. Even retailers do not know which AIB partners will be supplying Canada, and they go on sale in under 2 days. In fact, one of the bigger Vancouver retailers just told me that due to such low expected supply and limited information, even those who line up super early, or camp out overnight, might not even be able to put their name down on the back order list. So doing so might be a complete waste of time (anyone thinking of doing this should call the store tomorrow). Any comments or thoughts to help my research would be greatly appreciated. Kind thanks, VD.

@LinusTech Well I hear that all the time and I cant find one of those available in the entire continent of europe. But there is a Simple way to find that out for sure and everybody discusses that but nobody with the ability to do so does it.... It's very simple with guys that have the networking inside those firms to ask them as techjurnalists (e.g ltt, gamers nexus etc etc etc) HOW MANY UNITS DID YOU SELL UP UNTIL NOW UNDER YOUR BRAND? Its as simple as that... AMD or Nvidia are not barns... they are companies... even farmers know how much milk they produced... AMD as well as Nvidia can tell us we released "this many" cards to US to Europe etc.... So please ask them and everything will be clear... If e.g AMD sold e.g 2000 units to America and 1000 units to EU then its a vaporware/paper launch (considering the populations in those continents are in the hundreds of millions actually America as in the continent should be a billion or so) So why didnt anybody of those gentlemen just ask this and release said data to the public?

Some "Team Radeon" Newsletter subscribers received the following email before 8 am CST, I received this email at 7:39 AM CST, I have been subscribed to the newsletter for a few years now. What are your thoughts on this, essentially they gave "fans" a chance to buy before the public, I was able to place in cart at 7:40 and kept on refreshing until 7:42 as it became out of stock. Can AMD claim that this was not a paper launch, and that they let fans get it first? Does Andre get ten whole buckaroos? five? (AMD fanboi here, was gonna scoop one up but decided on a quest 2 and kinda regret it ) Best wishes to everyone still trying to obtain one, Good luck!

Nvidia's no longer selling 3080s and 3090s on its website, but what about 3070s when they launch? If not, where can Canadians find 3070 FE?

As I recall, the 3900X in particular was out of stock for months after launch, with prices on eBay hitting well above MSRP. The 3800X was in short supply as well. For those that are planning to upgrade to Zen 3, what are your expectations for availability given that supply chains are not at 100% right now, and demand will likely be higher?

I have tried deleting and reinstalling the game twice now and I have verified the game files. I'm really stuck now please help. XiaoYing_Video_1590160199594.mp4

It would be nice to see hobbyist media call out AMD for failing to put products in enthusiasts' hands. Specifically today's abominal launch of the 3950x, where stocks were so short a savvy consumer with buy pages preloaded was unable to get products into e-carts all over the planet. For a hotly anticipated chip that was delayed multiple times one would think some effort be made to get enough product into consumer hands. In reality, in the moments certain sites accidentally went live prior to actual launch, the inventories were wiped out before a launch could even happen. I have read rumors, though not sure if remotely true, of new egg only having 100 chips to sell, and of a distributor in the UK telling a customer only 6 were available to sell in the country. Surely this can't be. Nonetheless, here we are with thousands spent on highest end AM4 builds, waiting for the 3950x to launch; now stuck unable to return anything, as the wait was too long. This screams so loudly of a stunt for good press than a move to please consumers. Linus and gang, please follow up on this topic. -An AMD enthusiast and now FORMER share holder

(Windows 10) I’ll explain as best as I can, but is there any way to have a program, or at least particular components of it, stored in the RAM so when I launch the application, it can just run without having to be loaded from storage? “But Diggity, isn’t loading the application from an M.2 fast enough?” no. I want to turn 2.5 seconds into 0.5 however, if this isn’t possible, what can I tinker with to improve my load times as best as possible?

So I was looking at all the stuff the stream deck can do and it made me wonder. Is there a way to build a small device with a couple buttons that could do things like automatically open a program when u push and stuff like that??

Reviews TL;DR/W : Performs about like a 1070 Ti (1-2% slower) at about the same price. My thoughts: Seems like a pretty good launch, nothing too exciting (no real innovation in terms of plain performance) but DLSS will be pretty neat once it comes out. At $400 it seems like a pretty good value, even better at $350, especially once DLSS support starts getting implemented

My opinion the launch of the RTX 2060 is that their was a lot of repeat from the 2070 and 2080/Ti launch showing raytracing performance and then with DLSS, but this time the frames rates were more put out their and from leaks saying it will be a little lower or the same than the 1070 were proving wrong. When it was shown beating a 1070 Ti when at launch the 1070 Ti was not appreciated because of how close it was to the 1080. So we are looking at a 1060 with 1080 performance which if it is on par with what NVIDIA said it will make a gpu market difference for the low end consumer. At least until Amd have their new cards released with mabey 2080 performance for only $250 although this is not confirmed. It would be a promising step forward for amd to take the lower end gpu market again. I am not here to here you guys argue with my option tho and just want to know what your guys thoughts where on the 2060 launch.

Problem: I have over the past couple days struggled trying to launch Forza Horizon 4 on PC. The game crashes within 10 seconds of opening it. That is, before reaching the starting menu. I have tried: - Reinstalled game four times (one on administrator account) - Reinstalled Xbox app & microsoft store completely - Updated Microsoft store - Updated Windows 10 - Gained ownership of gamefolder - Restarted PC - Tried 5 different GPU drivers (Namely: 399.24, 411.63, 411.70, 416.16 & 416.34) - Tried launching from a different windows user - Disabled AntiVirus(AVG) - Disabled Firewall - Disabled all software running in the background - Uninstalled all software that could interfere with the game, notably: EVGA Precision X & Wallpaper Engine. - Launched from an Administrator user - Installed and uninstalled random app on Windows Store - Running WSReset.exe - Plugged out all but one monitor Specs: Windows 10 PRO N 64-bit, version 1709, OS Build 16299.726 i7 4770k @ 3,5 ghz Geforce EVGA 780 Ti 16gb HyperX memory DirectX 12 Crashlogs from eventviewer: https://pastebin.com/20ZEyeHG https://pastebin.com/Z7LwKQ6b This thing puzzles me. I have been in contact with both xbox and microsoft, neither of which has been very helpful. If anyone of you is able to decode the crashlogs or has any insight I have not already attempted, this is my desperate call for help.

so my Minecraft has always worked on my computer but just last night when I went to launch my Minecraft 1.13 it froze and stopped responding on the White mojang screen. When I changed the version to 1.12 it worked perfectly fine but when I change it back to 1.13 it will freeze again. I tried to reinstall Minecraft and Java again but the issue still continues. But what makes this weird is that it was working fine earlier that day.

From two sources, this time: WCCFTech: Exclusive: Intel’s Desktop Roadmap 2018 to 2019 VideoCardz.net: Intel Core i9-9900K launches in Q3 2018 after all Pretty straight forward. Coffee Lake-S Refresh is in September. "Refresh" of X299 is in Oct/Nov, followed by the new A series Processors. My Thoughts: I really am amazed that Intel is bringing out the Xeon Platinum SKUs to the "High-end Desktop". But, what I'm excited for is the first person to delid what is clearly going to be a >4000USD A-series CPU. The Compensator clearly has a new CPU to work with later in the year.

Hello, So this have been bothering me for a while now, my frame rate and sound lags when I launch a game or heavy graphic program. I'm running Win 10 on an Intel i7 8700K with 16 gb ram dual channel 3200mhz, 500Gb SSD with a Geforce 1080Ti. All my drivers are updated and I get this every-time. This issue usually starts when I launch WoW or when League of legends leaves the champion select and launch the game. I also played BF1 and it did it too when the game leave windows to load the actual game (graphic loading). This is quite frustrating given the price my parts had cost me and the review saying they are great! I have overclocked my CPU to 4.8Ghz and I sometime overclock the GPU too with MSI afterburner. Regardless of when it's overclocked or stock the problem is there, sound lags and mouse stutters for 1~2 secs when the game boots. I hope there is an easy fix! please help!

Windows 10 decided to update when I turned on my PC. For some reason it said it failed to update and will undo changes. After it restarted I get the black screen with the windows logo and a loading wheel of dots. But after that it's just a black screen. I can move the mouse and the cursor is the blue loading wheel. I can't get into my PC. Help. Edit: I booted in recovery mode/repsir mode or whatever. Used start up repair and got this message. (Image 2)

Hi, Just started having this problem this morning (I played last night with no issues).Opened CSGO this morning and saw that my video settings/resolution had been reverted to normal (all set to high [usually low], 16:9 and native res [i usually play 4:3 and different res]). I was able to change my settings back to usual, but after this, the game crashed. Now the game crashes immediately after launching.Last night i updated my windows (cumulative update) and nvidia drivers. *No error messages / 'csgo has stopped working' windows have been appearing... the game just starts to launch and dies...*I would appreciate some assistance in this matterTHINGS I'VE TRIED WITH NO RESULTS:I reinstalled my nvidia drivers just now to no avail Cleared my launch optionsVerified the integrity of games filesDeleted csgo.exe and reinstalled by Verifying the integrity of games filesShutdown/restartchanged resolution back to 1440p (native) using " -w 2560 -h 1440" in launch options

So I have a LOT of games and game frequently, games like CSGO, Fortnite, Warframe, The Witcher 3 etc etc. And I've been gaming for years with the same computer. Recently, maybe 3 days ago, I tried to launch fortnite after a month (i had finals going on), and it opens up that small banner with the fortnite art on it, like usual, and then when it goes away and the game window is supposed to open, the window just flashed in for half a second and gets replaced by a crash report window. I tried verifying game files, no use. I even reinstalled the entire game THRICE, downloading it again each time. No use. So then 2 days back I try opening Paladins after maybe a year, because of its new battle royale mode. Same thing. Banner with art and load bar opens up, loads, game window pops into screen for half a second, and lo and behold, a crash report. Today I try opening Warframe after a few weeks, download the new update and everything, annnd guess what. Exact same thing. I really really want to play these games with my friends but I just can't. Someone please help me out. Edit: CS:GO and Dota 2 and stuff work.
