  1. Hey Everyone! My name is Dawson and thanks so much for checking out my build log! This will be my fourth build, second time liquid cooling, and first time using a form factor other than ATX. The goal of this build is to find a case that has excellent craftsmanship and subtle aesthetics (and will therefore need no exterior modification) and modify the interior to create a unique but clean look. That being said, let’s get on with the specs: Core Components: CPU – 6800k GPU – Gtx 1080 RAM – 32gb G.skill Ripjaws 4 2666mhz Mobo – Asus X99-M WS PSU – Corsair RM1000i Storage – Samsung 960 Evo 250gb, Intel 750 Series 400gb PCIE, 2x Samsung 850 EVO 250gb in RAID 0 Case – Phanteks Evolv Micro ATX Glass, Anthracite Grey Liquid Cooling: Blocks – EK Nickel Plexi for CPU, GPU, Intel SSD Pump – Alphacool VPP755 with EK X-Top Revo Plexi Radiators – EK SE240 and EK SE360 Fans – 5x Noiseblocker BlackSilent Pro Reservoir – Singularity Computers Protium Medium – Polished Acrylic with Black rings Fittings – TBD, Bitspower 16mm of some colour most likely Fluid – TBD, leaning towards Mayhems X-1 Purple at this point Miscellaneous: Cables – Scratch-Built using Mainframe Customs Black Sleeving and Gosumodz Alliance Combs Lighting – TBD Control – Aquaero 6 PRO with Flow and Temp Sensors Nanoxia CoolForce Cable Combs Modification list: Create a custom, inverted motherboard tray from aluminum Create a custom rear case panel to clean up the aesthetics Modify the GPU bracket (for what I won’t say yet…) ;P Powder coat all interior parts matte black That’s all for now, but I’ll just leave the obligatory group photo below for now: Thanks for looking!
  2. Hi Folks Project Stranger Case is under way, watch the announcement CG trailer I put together. Thanks to @Slick @LinusTech for inspiring me to build again. Support their sponsors! Parts and full spec still under consideration but will feature a Intel i7, ASUS Motherboard, Corsair PSU, Case and RAM.
  3. Hello and welcome to Project Hades by Darwin PC! Introduction Hades was the ancient Greek god of the underworld, a son of Titans and brother of Zeus and Poseidon. As Project Hades will feature an inverted ATX conversion, the underworld theme made sense. I have a few mods planned to make this build stand out. Hardware Case: Cooler Master MasterCase Maker 5 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Ultra Gaming CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K GPU: Palit GeForce GTX 1060 Super JetStream Memory: Kingston HyperX Savage 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 PSU: Cooler Master V1000 1000W 80+ gold modular CPU cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid Pro 240 Cabling: Custom-sleeved with E22 Teleios Sponsors Thanks to the following sponsors for making this project possible: Cooler Master, Gigabyte, Palit and Kingston / HyperX. 4. Hi! was wondering if anyone knows about possible ways to preferably buy a custom laptop housing, especially with my weird requirements. What I'm Looking For - - Transparent (clear housing) - Fits existing machine (a little bit of tinkering can be acceptable) - said machine has good enough specs to run basic Linux application (and a bit more) - not custom order (as im on a very tight budget) Going for a more 90s-mid 2000's hackers the movie vibe if you catch my drift... strange i know, but it suits me. I will attach some photos of ones i have found online (only 1 or 2) This is a bit of a needy post but... thanks
  5. Hi guys, Alex here back with another build log! I think it's been a while since I've been on the forums now, a lot of stuff has been happening! I'm very happy however to bring you guys another build log with the very exclusive IN WIN D-Frame 2.0 NVIDIA Edition chassis! I am super excited to be working on this build as I find this chassis absolutely stunning! I'm not sure if there are many NVIDIA edition versions of this case around at the moment, I definitely know that this is the only one in Australia which makes it a huge privilege so I hope I can do it justice with a nice build in it! The mods are not gonna be anything too crazy as I really don't want to change much on such a stunning case nor do I want to paint or drill into it! I will be creating some custom panels from acrylic and adding some nice vinyl effects as people that follow my work have come to expect from my builds! I'm calling this one IN WIN DUKE, simply because the frame resembles the inner chassis of a Ducati motorcycle so nice and easy with the name there! It's an honour again to be able to do this and have the opportunity to work with such amazing companies. The sponsors on this build are IN WIN, NVIDIA, ASUS, Western Digital, AVEXIR, Bitspower, CableMod and for the first time ever for one of my builds, INTEL, with a very unexpected package as you will from the specs below! You can find more information about the respective vendors in the links below and follow their channels if you wish: Intel - https://www.facebook.com/intelaustralia NVIDIA - https://www.facebook.com/NvidiaANZ ASUS - https://www.facebook.com/asusaustralia IN WIN - https://www.facebook.com/INWINANZ Western Digital - https://www.facebook.com/WDAustralia AVEXIR - https://www.facebook.com/AVEXIR Bitspower - https://www.facebook.com/Bitspower CableMod - https://www.facebook.com/CableMod Hope you guys enjoy this one! SPECS: Case – IN WIN D-Frame 2.0 NVIDIA Edition Motherboard – ASUS X99 Deluxe II CPU – Intel Core i7 6950X Memory – 8 x 4GB AVEXIR Core White & Green LED DDR4 GPU – 2x NVIDIA GTX 1080 Founders Edition SLI - NVIDIA 3-Slot High Bandwidth Bridge SSD – 120GB AVEXIR S100 Green LED HDD - 4TB Western Digital Red Pro PSU – In Win S-III 1065W Cables & LEDs - CableMod Radiators – 360mm Bitspower Leviathan Extreme, 2 x 120mm Bitspower Leviathan Slim Fans – 5 x In Win Aurora 120mm fans Pump – Bitspower DDC Plus with Bitspower Premium DDC Mod Top Reservoir – 2 x Bitspower Hexagon Reservoirs Fittings – Various Bitspower Black Sparkle Fittings Tubing – Bitspower Crystal Link 16mm PETG CPU/MB Block – Bitspower AIX99D Full Cover Water Block And without any further delays, here's a good look at the case and fans that arrived from IN WIN! Thanks for checking it out guys and stay tuned for more! Cheers, Alex
  6. Hello all, just registered here since I have a problem I just couldn't fix. Long story short, I'm designing a new case for my own PC (my first build). I want the case to be fully compatible with the ATX standard. But I just can't find the specifications for the expansion cards (graphics card, additional network interface, etc). Yes, I could just take my cards and meassure them, but than I can't be sure that ALL possible cards will fit. Also it will be a much cleaner build when I have absolute numbers. (Considering what odd numbers are used throughout the ATX standard, rounding would be a bad idea). And before someone asks, yes I have searched the ATX specifications for information about the expansion cards. When I have all the data I need I also plan to merge them into one big document to make it easier to build ATX-cases yourself. Thank you all in advance. -- Also please excuse my poor english, I'm not a native.
  7. So I have the NZXT S340 Elite case, and I am considering to maybe mod the top I/O part of the case to add in a USB Type-C port. I checked the case, and next to the HDD LED, there is about 1.5 inches of flat metal with no electronics. If I am to drill a hole the size of a Type-C port and reroute a USB-C extension cable from the rear I/O to the top, what would that entail? What materials would I need? How hard would it be? And also while I'm in there, is it possible to fit a micro sd card reader next to it too? Thanks!
  8. Project BATTLEGROUNDS This is a little project that I thought of, and posted about already. It is an Orange and Black themed build, with super minor and basic case/SSD/anything else mod. I will be spray painting a collage of things from the game PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS on the side panel, and any other mods I think of. PLAYER UNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is a survival battle royale type game where 100 players are dropped on an island and you loot houses for weapons and armor and if you're the last one alive you win, that is the most basic explanation of the game I can give. This is not a build I will complete in the next month, but in the next couple months. I have already made a super rough, crappy looking stencil of my idea of what will be on the side of the case, and what will be put on the SSD, as well as potentially other things. I will be potentially spray painting the cooler and other parts that don't match the Black and Orange theme. Official "Banner" for the Build Hardware Case: In Win 101 Black ATX Mid Tower Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-AX370- Gaming K5 GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 GV-N1080TTOC-8GD PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2 Fully Modular Ram: HyperX Fury 8GB (2x4GB) Black CPU: Ryzen 5 1600X CPU Cooler: Corsair H110i SSD: TBD Extras Fans: x5 Corsair RGB SP120 LED Strip: NZXT Hue+ Controller for everything: Corsair CL-9011110-WW Digital Fan and RGB Lighting Controller CaleMod Black and Orange cables Spray Paint Anything else I think of I will update. Note 2: Found almost everything, still need paint, but I found all the fans and the fans and the led strip. I switched out the Gigabyte 1080 to a Gigabyte 1070, because it looks better and is cheaper. The final price of this build, excluding the paint, the fans and the controller, and the led strip. Final price: $1358.9 I am open to recommendations for different hardware and advice on what paints to use so don't be shy. The way things are going with Graphics Cards right now, I don't know if this is going to happen soon, since every gpu I go for is sold out a day after.
  9. I think this is in the right thread. It it isn't please let me know and I'll figure out how to move it! I have a very basic mATX case, with some mid-range hardware in it. I'm planning on picking up some RGB fans and RGB strips in order to give my case a green-yellow pulsing theme, like Lucio from Overwatch. I'm trying to decide what the best way is to add a Lucio (the character in Overwatch) theme to my build. Right now I'm leaning toward using a dremel tool to cut some variety of logo into the side of the case for the lights to shine through, and to show off the parts inside. I have two questions: will drilling into the side cause thermal problems? Also (and this one is more of a long shot, but might as well ask) can anyone recommend a design? The one I've linked won't work because of the eyes and mouth of the frog, but it conveys the general idea.
  10. UPDATE: The project is complete! See my final photos below thanks for following everyone! Till next time! ============================================================================================================================================================================================ [COMPLETE] Howdy! Well, here's my first build log on the LTT forums have been on other forums but figured I'd post here as well [COMPLETE] The title says it, this is Project Adamantium. The inspiration came about because I wanted to do a silver/black build in order to be color neutral so that my RGB Led's would compliment the build no matter what I decided to set them to. Adamantium I chose because it sounds cool and is silver (For those that don't know, it's the metal that Wolverine's 'claws' are made out of). To start out here is a parts list of what will be in this build. 11. In preparation for the upcoming Ryzen launch I am building my first computer for myself rather than other people. I am looking at an orange and black theme but I was unable to find a good case that matched that theme. Enter: my first case mod! I have a couple touch ups to do along the top of the front bezel but otherwise I really like how this turned out. From here I plan to: -replace the red led's with orange -add some paint striping to the front/top -maybe add something to the side panels -actually make the system once Ryzen is realeased -clean my room (yes, I know it's a mess) What do you guys think?
  12. I have an old Cooler Master 690 USB 2.0 version and i want to change the front panel I/O. My plan is to cut the PCB, marked in red in the attached images. Cutting out the estata and USB 2.0 connectors and leaving the Audio and Mic connectors intact. I will use a USB 3.0 internal header to front panel extension after after the pcb and fixing it to the case. Is it possible to cut the PCB keeping only Audio and Mic connectors intact. Will it work after i do so? Thank You
  13. Sup folks, I am planning my new build "A Faster Horse". It's a Ford Mustang themed build, so I bought some Mustang fender emblems to put on the case, however II'm not quite sure yet where to put them. Either a horse running to the right on the sidepanel, or a horse running to the left on the front. I would like to maintain a clean look, so both might be a bit much. Anyway, what do you think looks best? Let me know! Regards, TJ Images:
  14. Hi guys, Welcome back to another one of my build logs! This time I am working on the newly released Corsair Crystal 570X tempered glass case! I would like to thank everyone at Corsair for giving me the opportunity to work on this case as I know this was sent to a group of elite modders world wide! I'm simply honored to be considered for this and see myself up there with the talented people that I look up to and inspire my work! The 570X is a case with tempered glass on pretty much all sides and it's truly a stunning case. My build will be all about elegance and luxury as well as drawing a bit of inspiration from the crystal series name. SPECS: Case – Corsair Crystal 570X Motherboard – TBA CPU – TBA Memory – 4 x 4GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 3000Mhz DDR4 RAM GPU – TBA SSD – 240GB Corsair Force LE SSD PSU – TBA Custom Cables - CableMod Cooling Corsair H100i V2 Corsair HD120 RGB Fans To start off the build log I did a quick unboxing presentation of the case. I hope you guys enjoy it and stay tuned for more! Cheers, Alex
  15. Hey all! Got another "quick", sponsored project for you all. First off, a huge shout out to all the sponsors, EVGA, Bitspower and TeamGroup Inc.! And of course, a very HUGE shout out to EVGA and their Gear Up with EVGA program for the continuous support! And this project will be a special one because I have finally got my own logo that I have been wanting for quite some time now. I wanted something simple that I could use for designs and cutouts for future projects. Came up with this design. And then asked a friend of mine to put in some touches on it. Since I mainly use Aluminum and Acrylic plastics, I asked him to throw those in, and this is what we came up. And now that that's out of the way, Let's start, shall we? Recently, Bitspower reached out and asked if I wanted to do a project for them using their new TouchAqua Sedna 011 for the Lian Li 011 Dynamic computer case. I have not worked with them for quite a while and since the person who reached out and requested is a very good friend of mine, I immediately took that opportunity that he laid in the table. After receiving the packages, I immediately strip the case down. My plan was to do a quick custom paint job on this project since the Lian Li 011 Dynamic is one hell of an awesome computer case. There's really not much, if nothing, to mod on this case. And this case, by far, is my favorite computer case that I have worked on. After a quick look, some measuring here and there, I started to tear the front, brushed aluminum part of it. I recently found a guy who accepts small custom paint jobs locally, and I immediately contacted him to ask if he can take on a small project. He agreed and I wasted no time and strip the case of it's parts. At the time that I got the packages, I have been waiting for a pc game to come out. Anthem. I only played it once, for a couple of hours, flying around and exploring the open world. I got inspired to do a case mod base on the "Interceptor" javelin class of the game. So I started to draw up a sketch of what I wanted. Came up with a simple one. And when I came up with this, I didn't have any clue that the game is starting to "flop". Sent those over to the paint guy, a couple of changes, just minor ones, and after a week, he came back with this. It was not as perfect as what I was expecting, but this was A LOT far better than what I can produce using aerosol paint. All in all, I am happy with the result! And since the paint job was done quickly, well, I started to put the thing together. I've got to say, Z390 FTW is A LOT sexier in person! One hell of a beefy heatsink!! EVGA's waterblocks for their 2080Ti are one of the sexiest that I have seen in a while. With a beefy card like this and a monster board like the Z390 FTW, adding in a 1000w power supply is not a bad idea. EVGA sent over a set of their sleeved cables for the SuperNova 1000G+ power supply. For the CPU water block, I like how it looks, but I was trying to reduce the "dark" colors on the build since the Interceptor character has mostly white and green armor. So I ended up peeling the black top cover of the water block. One of my favorite parts of this project. For quite some time now, I have been wanting to explore the world of custom "distribution plates", unfortunately time didn't allow me to. But seeing this TouchAqua distribution plate in person inspired to go and explore how to make your own plate. I will definitely make one in the near future. TeamGroup was awesome and generous enough to send these out for the project. Assembly time! Now, when I was putting this together, I overlooked one thing. After installing the card, I was planning on the tube route, when I noticed something. I did not realized that the FTW waterblock was too "wide" when using it horizontally. The stock cooler fits in no problem, but since the EVGA FTW waterblock is one hell of a beefy block, the thing was poking out. At that time, it was poking out by around 5-6mm and when I realized it, all I could think of is make a acrylic side panel and make a 7mm spacer between the case and the side panel. But here's the awesome part, EVGA then said "nah, nah, nah, looks like you need a different card that will fit inside that thing. Here, the waterblock for this is not as wide as the ftw block.". They then sent this over! I was damn speechless on the awesome support that they showed. 2 days after that, the EVGA 2080Ti XC and the waterblock for it showed up on my door step. That kind of support, is just, well, AWESOME! And if you are reading this, there's another incident that happened, and yet again, I experienced EVGA's awesome support. Keep on reading below. And after that little hiccup, I started running some tubes in the system. I was actually quite excited about it since this was my first time using a distribution plate on a project. And after that, I did a quick leak testing. No leaks! Now, I was about to wrap the project up. All I needed to do was to put in some green dye on the loop. And here was the 2nd problem. After running the loop for an hour or so, I noticed the LED debug indicator on the board kept on cycling through a bunch of codes. I got curious so I plugged in an HDMI cable from the system to a monitor to see if the thing gets into BIOS. Aaaaaand, nope! I tried all the ports on the card, still no display on the monitor. I tried for a day and a half to see what the hell did I do wrong, no luck. So I reached out to EVGA again, we did some more tests upon their instructions, and we confirmed that I got a dead board on my hands. BUT! Here's where EVGA showed their awesomeness again. 2 days after I reached out to them, they've sent me a replacement board! It still kinda sucks that I have to drain and take the loop out, but that was nothing compared to what EVGA have shown. That will be it for me for now. I will post the final photos tomorrow! Ciao!
  16. So I was wondering if they made a distribution plate for the R6 or if there are any that are known to fit in it? Also, I am really annoyed by the full length of the PSU shroud that the R6 has and was wondering if anyone has seen a mod that has it cut back or would it affect the structural integrity of the case.
  17. What is this 3d program called that is all i wish to know (i need it for a 3d print design and it looks easy to use)
  18. So I've been wanting to do a game themed case mod for a while now but I just really haven't found a game that I've liked enough to commit to a case mod for but recently I've really fallen in love with rust and i want to pull the trigger on a case mod but I've been having a really hard time thinking of any mods that would make sense and/or wouldn't look super tacky. So basically I just need some ideas, the case in working with is the cooler master H500P, now I'm open to cutting the case up a little (really just the front and top plastic pannels) and I do have access to a 3D Printer so I can print mods. Just spitball some ideas for me in the comments. Any feedback is appreciated!
  19. There's a lot of guides on how to built decent gaming PC's using decommissioned Dell office PC's, but most of them reuse the ugly stock case instead of a standard modern PC case. We've been working on an adapter kit that's finally available that allows you to connect the front panel I/O to the proprietary front panel header on some of the Dell Optiplex motherboards (390, 3010, & 3020 currently). The 5/6 pin power button header adapter will work with most Dell Optiplex, Inspiron, and Vostro desktop motherboards with the 5/6 pin power button header but it alone won't remove the annoying front panel error. This project was designed for the mid tower (not SFF or small form factor) desktops. It allows you to connect standard PC case front panel headers to the Dell Optiplex 390, 3010, and 3020 motherboards (790, 7010, & 7020 models are currently not compatible since they use a different connector, however the power button header is the same). You can get these desktops for around $100 or less with 8GB of RAM and an i5-4590/4570 on eBay, just add an SSD, GPU, and PSU and you're all set. WARNING! Connecting these adapters in the wrong orientation or with the wrong models could result in damage to your motherboard. Do not use these adapters with models other than the ones mentioned above except for the power button adapter. By the way, everything is open source so you can get schematics and more info on my Github here: https://github.com/HarbinRepairs/Dell-Optiplex-MB-Header-Adapters Thanks for checking out this project!
  20. I already have the case what parts should i use to make this work, i am new to this
  21. So, I've been planning this build since my laptop and PS2 died in 2014. Somewhere on the internet I had seen a build in an old NES and wanted to do the same. The main goal with this build was to spend as little money as possible on as few parts as possible. With my move overseas coming in seven months, this summer was really the last chance I had to get things started. Parts list: Gutted PS2 chassis AsRock j4205-ITX motherboard with embedded Pentium quad core CPU 2x4GB DDR3 memory from my old laptop 120GB SSD from parents' old computer 140W Pico-PSU 40mm case fan which may or may not be used Front panel cables pulled from old random case, hopefully to be soldered to original PS2 power switch Zalman 500W PSU for building and testing system before switching to Pico unit.
  22. Greetings fellow humans. I've got a build coming up in which money isn't really an issue so I want to do something special with the case. Can anyone recommend any 3d modeling software that is user friendly which I can use to draft up some ideas for cases, or side panels? Ideally that outputs files and data which can be used by a business that operates CNC machinery or does engravings etc. I have no prior experience with software like this which is why I'm looking for something not too difficult to use. -Eve
  23. I have seen a lot of people modding their psu cover into a screen. How do I do this because I have seen people using a pi screen and routing the cables to the gpu and motherboard. I dont know what I need for the screen and how do I attach the screen to the PSU. Can someone tell me the parts I need and how do I mount it to the psu cover.
  24. Budget : as low as possible but not limited Country: Switzerland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mostly (85% gaming, 10% Streaming, 5% Video & Photo editing) Where am I now: I build my (at that time) high-end gaming PC in 2014. It got three new cases but now I want to get into modding and watercooling. PC parts: Intel i7 4790K, Asus Maximus Vi Impact, 2x8 GB DDR3 @ 1866 Mhz, 2x Samsung 850 256GB SSD, WD Black 4 TB, Seasonic 650w PSU, ASUS Geforce GTX 780 DCUII OC, Corsair H105i (updated form a H100 that stoped working after like 2 years), 3 Nocuta Fans ( 2x 120mm, 1x 140mm), Phanteks enthoo evolv ITX (non w) Where do I want to go: I got really lucky and was able to get a new! Asus RTX 2070 Turbo for only 200 CHF (about 210$) which is a really good deal. That was in April where like allmost every videocard was sold out or sold for much higher. The cheapest RTX 2060 atm in Switzerland is around 360$) Because of that deal everything started. I got a used EKWB Vector RTX 2080 waterblock for only 20$. It is allmost brand new it was only used for 12h for testing. With that my quest for hunting down cheap used watercooling parts started. So far I got allmost everything 2nd hand or new on very good deals. - EKWB Coolstream SE 240, 15 CHF (16$) (brand new, preowner bought it but it didn't fit) - EKWB Coolstream classic 240, 20 CHF (21$) (new form a special shop that does liquidation sale) - EKWB Vector RTX 2080 RGB - Nickel + Plexi, 20 CHF (21$, 2nd hand, basically new) - Alphacool Icebear Solo, 35 CHF (37$, 2nd hand, some marks and scratches but functionally fine) I got a Delid-die-mate 2 for free from the same guy...... cool .... - Bykski Fittings 13/10mm soft tubing 55 CHF (57$, new, never heard from this brand bevor, after googling i found out that they are kinda big, I got a great deal from a direct reseller.) - ASUS Geforce RTX 2070 Turbo 200CHF (210$, brand new, liquitation) - 2x WB Blue 1TB SSD, 110 CHF (112$, bougth them in a flash sale, my Samsung SSDs where in a RAID 0 but I had allways an error showing in post. so i thougth why not upgrade) - Custom IHS, 10CHF (10$, new, eBay. I saw a Video on GN about it and saw it on eBay for my 4790k... and since I have some liquid metal around... why not. its fun i guess) Total cost for the upgrad so far = $ 484.- So the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX case has some problems. The top and front pannel are really bad for airflow. Thats why I'm going to mod them. I'm not set on the design yet. depending on how complex it will get I might get it cut with a waterjet or Plasma cutter. Also the side pannel will get a simple plexi window. for the GPU I want to make a custom backplate. I can not decide on what theme I should go. I kinda want to something in the style of Cyberpunk, or like Neon-Noir (bladerunner) I will see.. Now I need some help: For the new build I need new fans. I love my noctua but they will not fit in the theme. I want to get some good RGB fans that will work with my rads. Problem, my motherboard has no RGB connector. Do you know any good RGB fan Controller ? It would be great when I could connect my vector RGB to it too. And a T-prob would be cool too.Corsair comander pro ist not bad i guess but Idk... I only have bad experience with corsairs software. I want to make a small buildlog and share it here. sooo stay tuned Oh btw. if someone has the monoblock for the Asus Maximus VI in good shape, I would be highly interessted
  25. i was looking at just buying a new case that had design features that i wanted, but i think i might just add them to my current case if i can so in my rosewill blackhawk ultra i want to add 1: PSU shroud, either solid or with a modders mesh top 2: remove the mesh from the side panel, replace with a window, cover the rest of the side panel with some kind of sound deadening to quiet the case, will also cover the other side panel with the same sound deadening (need recommendations on what to use for that) 3: because this case supports massive dual cpu HPTX boards and im using ATX i want to make a custom plate that covers all the ugly holes, i want to make it two layers, the bottom layer would stand maybe quarter to half an inch off the motherboard tray, and still have a couple holes for cable routing, then a bar like you see in the NZXT H210/H510/H710, im thinking of making that bar (and possibly this whole thing) with acrylic, painted on the faces, with the edges bare, and then im thinking that if i attached an RGB strip face down against the back side of the pieces, the edges of them would then glow... question mark 4: also thinking about pulling most of the drive shelves, mounting the two inner fans inside the drive cage, and put some more modders mesh on the side of the drive cage to clean up the appearance since the side panel is solid over the drive cage area so only motherboard area is actually visible either that or some fan grills just to clean up the look
