Adblock Plus says Facebook's decision to block ad blockers is 'anti-user'. So its an ad blocking company calling a company which makes profits from ads that their move to block ad blockers is anti user...WHAT?? How on earth is fb supposed to make profits?? http://uk.businessinsider.com/adblock-plus-facebook-blocking-ad-blockers-is-anti-user-2016-8?r=US&IR=T

Report: Microsoft will build ad blocking into a future version of Microsoft Edge Begun, the ad wars have. By; Source: http://www.pcworld.com/article/3049998/browsers/report-microsoft-will-build-ad-blocking-into-a-future-version-of-microsoft-edge.html Yay! This is good, and I am glad, now hopefully it will be decent and well made (hopefully). This along with the addition of extensions being added to the next Edge update, it looks as if Edge may be a worthy competitor after all. Thoughts?

*Update* Microsoft: No, Microsoft Edge will not natively block ads Microsoft rebuts a report that said Edge would get an integrated ad blocker By; Gregg Keizer ComputerWorld via PCWorld Source: http://www.pcworld.com/article/3050475/windows/microsoft-no-microsoft-edge-will-not-natively-block-ads.html Apparently the article I posted, somebody did not do their homework correctly and or did not follow up with their to confirm the information. For Shame.......... The original article I posted: Apparently according to Microsoft the add blocking that has been referred to in conversation is a slider for an ad filter of sorts. MS only has plans of supporting Ad Blockers through extensions so users can use their choice of what Ad Blocker they want. This makes a lot more sense to me honestly. I like the information that put out in the related article but it did seem a bit of a stretch for MS to bake in an AdBlocker since there is already solid extension available through either AdBlocker Plus and AdBlocker Pro. If MS was to bake one they would most likely work with or offer to buy either of the 2 I mentioned. Thoughts?

I think it's a great idea because i mostly use Adblock to protect me from epilepsy inducing malware filled ads on download sites. I want to support Content Creators like LMG. I just get lazy and forget to turn off Adblock lol.

Hello all I've been reading issues from you people that AdBlock is causing some weird issues in Google Chrome and others. I also wonder why use AdBlock? Is it because most ads you see are irrelevant to the content YouTube channels make (Like seeing a movie ad on LinusTechTips when it should be a tech-related ad). I'm not against using AdBlock, nor am I in favor of using it. This is just my thought and I want to know why you use AdBlock and are most ads you see on your favorite YouTube channels irrelevant to the content.

I've become so sick of targeted ads on every product I looked up I just downloaded adblock plus today. I don't really mind youtube ads, as I accept that as a cost of using the site. Although friday I saw an add that some companies have paid off adblock plus to whitelist their advertisements. Any alternatives?

A lot of people use some kind of Ad blocking software on their web browsers to block annoying ads. But shouldn't blocking Ads be consider pirating content? When a game developer makes a game, time and money goes into making original content that they expect to make profit off of. When somebody pirates a game, they receive the content the developer created without the developer making any money When a website developer makes a website, they make money off of selling ad space. Their goal may be to make profit off of just the ads, or just to hope that their ad revenue will be enough to pay for server hosting and other expenses. When somebody visits a page with adblock, they receive the content of the website without the developer making any money What is the bad part about internet piracy? That you don't have to pay, or that the content creator is not making money off of their work? It's illegal to download paid music, games, and movies and piracy is often compared to stealing. The big problem is that somebody worked hard to create something, released it with the intention of making some amount of money in return for the content they created, and people are receiving this content without the creator making money. But still Adblock isn't considered piracy, and is even allowed by Google and Mozilla? But isn't Adblock be worse than piracy? Pirating content that costs money is one thing, but to deny money to content creators that were actually providing you with their content with no cost to you? You don't even have to pay. They will make money even if you ignore the advertisements on their websites Share your thoughts on this below, I want to know what you guys think

Can I move ADs on the site to the bottom of the latest video AD? Is there an extension to do that? This image may make it clearer:

Does adblock really hurt them they always say it does but Youtubers themselves use it https://youtu.be/RjI9kFhE1R0?t=10s https://youtu.be/QxSfZ3vA9OE?t=45s

So, today i decided to quit using Adblock for a moments to see if I can give up on it only to end getting overwhelmed with adverts like ''singles are your own area'' ''try this weird tip'' ''work on home and earn xx'' ''do this survey and earn money''. And I had a moment to ask myself why these adverts still exist? Haven't they gotten too obvious and mainstream for people with IQ above 70 to believe them anymore (the survey scam wants you to pay to do a survey to get paid, what the heck?). Maybe I underestimated the stupidity of humans, but seriously this is the only thing that stops me from axing out Adblock , as I cannot bear the thought that people still believe such pathetic scams or to have to see them in every website I visit. I guess ill try to hang on without Adblock, but why is the internet advertisement business still stuck with scams and can't get legitimate for once?

Properly many of you hate advertisement as much as i do. But would watch it to support Linus. @Sharif on the forum posted back in august about how you could whitelist youtube channels, but still use adblock on other sites. I'm not sure many people saw the post or are active in the guide section on the forum. So i figured that posting it in off topic would be a great way to let people know. Hello I personally love Maxthon, but I feel that having to load all of the images makes it a bit slow and cumbersome. I usually use Adblock Plus for Firefox and Chrome, and just disable it for specific websites(Such as when I watch Linus' videos). Does anyone know of a way to get adblock for Maxthon if that is at all possible? Or is there any applications similar to adblock that work?

Does anyone know how to disable Adblock Plus for certain Youtube channels? I want to disable adblocking for all of Linus' videos. In case you didn't watch the live stream Linus explained that Adblock prevents him from getting ad revenue. In return the Linus Media Group is not getting the money they deserve. Thanks to anyone who can help me.

So I have a Nexus 4 phone running up to date Android 4.4 Kitkat. Now, when I go to some websites to watch videos it says that I don't have Adobe Flash installed on my device. The OS officially dropped support for it. I found a guide on how to install a hacked version of Adobe Flash compatible within the Dolphin web browser. I followed all the steps and I successfully installed it and can play flash videos. How safe was doing this? There's no way in hell this can be updated and I don't understand how a flash player could be a security risk in the first place. Is it only a risk while I'm running Dolphin with the flash player running on site or is there a constant risk while having Download KitKat.Adobe.Flash.Player.11.1.apk installed? I must admit, I want to use flash to watch movies on a black market video streaming site called Viooz, a site I wouldn't trust going too without Adblock, WOT and an online shield scanning my activity. I can go there on my PC and watch embedded movies from there that aren't streamable through Netflix or Amazon under their subscriptions. Be assured, Viooz is a shady site in which you don't want to click on anything that will lead you away from the site. Was this guide that I followed legitimate or stupid to follow through with? Did I screw myself? How To Install Flash Player On Any Android Kitkat Device! --------------------------------------- I similarly installed Adblock plus from this download a while ago. Adblock Plus For Android Before you download Adblock Plus to your Android device, make sure app installation from unknown sources is allowed by Android: Open Settings and go to Unknown sources option (under Applications or Security depending on your device) Tap the checkbox and confirm the upcoming message with OK Does this ever update or is it just a one time thing? After I install this, if I check back to unallow installation from unknown sources, does it disable Adblock? I still get ads on youtube, but maybe less? ----------------------------------------------------------- Thanks tech community for reading my post. I curious how adblock has been banned from the Google Play and flash isn't support on Kitkat, yet for Chrome web browser on Chrome OS and Windows they work just fine as extensions.

Recently I've been forced to watch many YouTube ads and have had to click out many others... Adblock seems to not be doing it's job anymore. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, with no avail. Anyone know any reasons this might be happening? It's starting to really bug me.
