you cant really go through one vendor to buy all the parts
but if you are not interested in anything more than minecraft then go with i3 6100 with asus or gigabyte and z170 chipset GTX960 should be good IMO

you wont lose much, but i would recommend going either with Dual channel or Quad channel rather than with 3 sticks

I mean as long as it's connected to a PC, you can enable file sharing on the drive and set accessibility options, then link the drive to PCs you want to access it on.

Hey there OmarM89,   Congrats on your deal! What is the drive's model number?  There are a few ways that you can go about this: - If I'm not mistaken your router does have a USB port so you might be able to connect the drive to it and configure it as accessible over the network (this way you would basically get a NAS). Check if your router supports such types of usage. - Another way of doing this is to connect the drive to a PC that is on the network and properly configure the file sharing options on the drive, as @Steven9595 suggested. The problem here would be that whenever your PC is off you won't have access to the drive from your other devices.   Post back if you have further questions or anything else that I might be able to help you with   Captain_WD.

I don't know if they'd do that... what would it be, just reenacting situations?  Seems like it might be seen by some as being smug or insulting on their part; people might think them and all the viewers all feel high and mighty for being so tech smart and look down on all the "stupid people" who aren't

OmarM89 got a reaction from gilm0re3 in Is it time to add more RAM?
i have a laptop with 8 GB of ram and i am using outlook with any where from 10 to 30 chrome tabs open at same time, about 10 of those usually in PRTG monitoring system. and few other applications lying around some lite applications and some have fairly high CPU and memory usage ( usually 5-10 Winbox instances) and RAM MAX  reaches 70 to 80% load. i would grab the 16 GB but my PC is old enough at this moment that i don't want to spend more on it and rather save my money to get a new one.

X99 if you can afford it it will be a better option any day, if not then GO WITH SKYLAKE CPU, it is more modern and DDR4 is the future but however z97 still a great platform that you can live with for the next 5 years without the need to replace any thing except graphics card if you are really into gaming

    Build Title: The silent cube
    Thread URL: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/351134-finished-the-silent-cube-pushing-passive-cooling-to-the-limit
Description: Yes the design is totally dictated by the cooling, but that doesn't mean it has to be ugly   And yes, all 500 watts kicked out by the system are cooled passive, and no, it does not overheat.
This build is an antipole to all these LED covered, hardline watercooled show systems. They look very nice, but you need sunglasses and headphones when using them. So I built my 50kg heavy black box that is totally inaudible and maintenance free, but has still a lot of compute power under the cover.
Ok, I have to admit I added one gimmick: I recover energy from the heat output of the GPUs with a thermoelectric generator to charge my smart-phone while gaming.

There's no such thing as future proof cpus, and frankly you shoudl really stick with what you have. The best way to prepare for the future is not waste money when you don't need to. Your i5 is plenty right now and it probably will be for a while as far as gaming goes.

    Check your data received.
You would see a (huge) spike of data received if you were being attacked, because a DDOS basically is just sending you a whack ton of data that your server cant handle.
