    I have a i5-4670k OCed to 4.5Ghz. Very nice.

    Thick asshole comes along.
"My computer is more powerful than yours since mine has an i7"
My response, "Okay, show me" Even if it had a good CPU, it probably wasn't more powerful as I didn't believe he knew how to overclock.
His laptop has an i7-4510U. Wow. I explained to him how my CPU was still more powerful.
"ermagerhd u is wreng me i7 mus bei moar powarfel den yer i5"
"Your argument is flawed. My CPU is clocked at 4.5Ghz, yours is at 2.6Ghz. Furthermore, yours is a laptop CPU, mine is a desktop one, each individual core of mine is more powerful than each of yours. What's more, your CPU has 2 cores and hyperthreading, while mine has 4 actual physical cores. So there."
    "nooooooooooooooooooo i7 > i5!!!!!!!!!!"
    *gives up*

    Same thick asshole.
"Wow! Is that an iPhone 6?"
    "Eh, no, it's too small."
    "Then what is it?"
"Ah, it must be the iPhone 6 Plus!" I mock him.
"Yea! OF COURSE IT IS!" He proclaims.
"Dude." *points at HTC logo* "It's a HTC One M8"
"Then they must have copied Apple's design!"
'Dude, this came out BEFORE the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus."
The best statement from him: "Then they must have time traveled to copy Apple's design!"

Look what people sell their i7-4790 systems on ebay or do it part by part and add it all together. U might get 75% of what u originally paid for it if u are lucky enough

I remember burying one in an ants strapped with fireworks at school when I was 14 or so and detonating it. Didn't know what it was at the time, just found it in a store room, but we didn't even chip the damn thing. Pissed off a whole lot of ants though.

I would pick one up, if I had a better GPU in my rig, I could never own a laptop that was more powerful than my rig.

On another note, when are you guys going to update the outro? It's using quite old clips at this point and frankly they aren't very good clips, they don't show off the professionalism of the channel, I'd love the outro from the Whole Room Watercooling series to be a mainstay

This literally just happened to me...

So I am called to the dining room and am asked how to "photocopy" an image from an eBay listing on to an email. I say that's not what photocopying is and you should just copy the URL onto an email. She asks me how to do that (regardless of her doing it multiple times in the past) so I copy the URL for her. Later on, I have to paste the URL for her because she doesn't know how to paste (sarcasm). She is unsure of whether it will work so she asks to send the email with the URL to herself. Reluctantly I do so but when she finds out the link isn't clickable she gets angry and says "that's not how I want it, it's broken". I explain that the recipient can still just copy and paste the link themselves.

Seriously, I don't get it. Why do people attempt to challenge people who know their shit on whether they do when they themselves are one hundred percent fucking clueless? It's infuriating and pointless. Do they want to be posted on this thread? Gah!

So I'm pretty sure I mention the train wreck of a system called quest A+ right? (If you don't know about it here it is: https://questaplus.alberta.ca/ )

Well imagine what could go wrong when:
The old system (Diploma login and word), which I whole heartily believe was exponentially better, doesn't just get replaced by this failure of a system but also gets completely wiped (so no backup plan if stuff fails) Quest A+ is not locally stored on the pc that is accessing it. Instead it's stored on some server (highly doubt there's more than one) up in Edmonton. Nobody has the insight to....idk, maybe stress test the server before the day of the diploma... The entire province is writing diplomas on the same day at the same time... Basically if you've seen enough WAN shows you know what the outcome is.... Yep that's right we ddos'ed the server. So after about an hour of the excuse of solution failing to even load the website that we needed to go to in order to run the program which essentially locks the browser and makes the exam secure (the old system was secure too) the solution those idiots came up with was have everyone hand write the damn English diplomas!

Thankfully once most of the people stopped trying to connect to the server I was more than able to connect to it and it worked as well as it normally does. (Which is still shit btw but it's better than not working at all)

Oh and back in the first few mins of the exam when everyone was trying to connect one of the supervisors in the room I was writing the exam in suggested that we use IE since apparently there's a difference between using Chrome or IE when connecting to a overloaded website. Sure... /sarcasm

Anyways the good thing was we got 45 mins of extra time. Most of which I spent facepalming at such an insane level of stupid but I also used some of it to prepare and plan one of the two essays I had to write.

Honestly this is a good example of kiss (keep it simple stupid) and the simplest solution already existed! The ONLY advantage of quest a+ was the "promise" that the essays wouldn't have to be printed and as a result trees would be saved. I gave them the benefit of the doubt back in September but when I was informed on Monday that they were still going to print the essays anyways and then send them to Edmonton...

Well lets just say I want the idiots that made and recommended the use of this system to be forced to use this program and nothing else whenever they need to write something for the rest of their pathetic lives. Then we could see how long until they realize that left clicking stuff should be reserved for selecting where you want to type and not for selecting where you want to type AND opening the correction menu. Or assuming they use shortcuts, how long until they realize that shortcuts are ESSENTIAL to quick and easy editing!

I am baffled by the fact that someone somewhere approved this wreck to be made and used. I mean in a world where any idiot (ie tunnel snakes) can very easily ddos anything they want this system was broken before it even came out. Although I'm pretty sure that the issues today were from legitimate users the fact that they had any issues at all means that any script kiddy can effectively ddos them at any time and it would make their service unavailable.

TLDR: It's a really good rant but summed up in one sentence it would be. Why do idiots always have the urge to reinventing a perfectly functional circular wheel by replacing it with a square and calling it "better"?

I do have sympathy for kiddo because that shit's expensive and plus it should have seemed fairly obvious to his mom that stuff like that should not go into the bin. Furthermore, she should at least ask if he wants/needs something thrown away.
