As this continues to be an issue (as I ran into this today) I have found that deleting the C:\ProgramData\ASUS\ folder to resolve the inability to install an update to AI Suite 3, as well as uninstall. It does not appear to impact the ability for the program(s) to run, either, as neither did they cease running nor did the programs fail to launch and retain it's settings after a reboot.
 
I know this is a necro on the post but I'm quite sick of help posts going unanswered in perpetuity. Hopefully this helps someone, as this thread is search #2 in google.

Edit: I want to add that this behavior appears to stem from selecting "No, I'll reboot later" during the initial install, or subsequent upgrades. Best bet is to install AI Suite 3 or other Asus programs when you can reboot immediately after, to be safe.

I feel like the new job servers are really helping. My computer has been folding pretty much constantly all day today.

If you're folding for "any disease" you are good. COVID-19 is set to have the highest priority, so any of those jobs that are distributed take priority. The only issue right now is their servers are massively overloaded due to the overwhelming support.
 
Just keep the program running and you'll get some work units eventually.

If your CPU is idle, just be patient. The servers are working as hard as they can to distribute work units. You'll get work eventually. Just keep the program running.

I have added my laptop's GPU on work, not a tech geek but happy to help for better

This may sound a bit corny, but I fold for everyone that suffers with the diseases being researched. I currently work at a research hospital that is also trying to find cures for diseases like these.

My rig isn't anything special, but I've crossed the 1.5M point threshold. I'm rank 3167 on the team :D.
