I disagree.
If they were agruing about stealing a stapler.  Ok.
You tell a manager someone is harassing me. 
You do not tell them to meet outside of work.

You take the specific allegation it only makes it worse.  My point is you don't even need all of that.
Someone says they were harassed.
You don't tell them to meet with that person outside work.
Not complicated.

I saw the bashing Madison and defending Madison.
If the leaked audio is true about the HR meeting, Linus did say to first to to solve it with the person.
It didn't sound like that was a new policy.
In one of Madison's tweets she did say they were lying in meeting, so they wouldn't look bad in front of the higher ups.
Solving a personal conflict with that person without intervention can be ok, depending on what it is.
The moment Madison brought up the sexual nature to a higher up and the response is go have coffee with them, that means their judgment is compromised.   I don't care who it was.  If that was said even by Linus or Yvonne they should be removed from the company.

I'm don't know how much the forums have changed here.  I got good advice posting here when gamer gate was happening.  I got a mix of responses, some supportive and others begging me not to talk about it on the forums.  On that WAN show on the morning I posted on the forums, Linus said something like stay out of it.  I was following TotalBiscuit at the time and thought he was correct but listened to Linus and prevented me from getting sucked up in all that.  Years later, I remember watching the video where Linus I think was addressing The Linux Gamer and was talking about how he addressed TB when he went after him.  He just ignored him.  I always thought it was weird he never came back after that first time.  I remember watching live and being excited that he was on.  I never knew about TB going after Linus.  I also just wanted to thank LTT because secret shopper has been so great in a god awful year.  A family vacation I went on in Jan, secret shopper and the next grand tour episode has been the only positive things that have beened in 2020.  What's even worse, I have been far far luckier than most this year.

the reason they don't add the prices is that they are always changing.  I know I will go back and watch old videos if there was something i wanted to get refreshed on and I watch the new videos to keep with with all the new tech and get a general entertaining overview.  pc part picker, newegg, ncix, frys, microcenter ect. ect. are all sources for the price of components.

lol don't get me started.  I'm in the US and I don't mind if my family listen to the guys at fry's because if I do disagree with them its usually a subjective thing.  But when I drive out of my way to go help a family member and we go to best buy to get something and they take the advice of a blue shirt bitch over me, I feel like the hulk about ready to smash everything and person in the store.  I get so pissed having wasted my time and have to listen to some asshole that doesn't know shit about anything.
 
I remember a long time ago, my mother wanted to buy a laptop for my sister.  I go over all the different companies, cpus, gpus, ect. ect.  As soon as we walk in I look at all the computers they have(she wanted to buy it in person and no frys near by) narrow it down to 3 laptops and let her pick.  She than insists to talk to someone that works there and he picked some overpriced pos.  As I'm standing there I ask how much RAM it has and his response was yes I believe it has some.
 
Really pissed me off when it broke a couple month after and I had to fix it.

I thought linus and luke made the stream.  I left it on when I passed out a couple of times.  I think it was really smart for Huang release the 980 with his normal conference but then add game24 and mod24 on top of it.  There were some problems like mics going out and all those different channels (I had main, 8, 16, and at the end linustech twitch channels all open at some point.)  We know that power savings isnt what most 980 buyers care about, but it does matter and moves everything forward.  Most Kepler owners will probably not upgrade but thats why they knocked it out of the park with the pricing on the 980 and even more with the 970.  We also know 980ti  and titan(maxwell) will come be coming out and 20 or 16nm are in the future.  It shows what a mature company nvidia is that they waited on the die size until they got it right.   Overall I think it was a success.

I gotta admit, although I know nothing about the situation other than what you hear on the news,but I'm pissed.  Someone said he was working on windows 9 debugging.  If that is true what hope do we have that windows 9 will be any good.   I was a long time supporter of Windows, I have had Windows 3.1, 95, 98,  2000, XP, 7, 8 and 8.1.  I was also a supporter of windows mobile and had 6.0 up to 6.5(which was more open than Android and although not pretty was a great OS.)  I even owned an xbox 360 which was my first console since my playstation, n64 and dreamcast days.  Windows Phone is awful, Windows RT tablets are awful and so is windows 8/8.1 for pc laptops tablets, servers and htpc.  Now that linux is gaining on the gaming side more and more with steam os and android is far greater than any crap windows puts out, lets hope microsoft just falls out of the sky for their cloud for everything 792p, 30 fps, and hating of the pc gamers that use their own product.
 
Off the windows bashing, I first heard of Barnacules on the wan show and started watching his youtube content.   I feel bad for a guy that had been with microsoft so long.  I was worried when Satya Nadella (MS new CEO) started talking about how he had to lay off people because acquiring Nokia.  That they were only going to lay off Nokia and XBox TV divisions.   Now we know it was a lie to cut as much as he could and go for his cloud all the time for every approach.  I'm lucky that I'm in LA and my internet isn't the greatest but ok.  I have heard that MS plans to offload some of the graphics of the xbox one on to the cloud.  With data caps, download only games coming for all consoles and already here for pc, and crap internet;  I have no idea where Microsofts  head is at.  Guess I couldn't stop bashing MS.
