Djallx reacted to mobriskie in Gamers Nexus alleges LMG has insufficient ethics and integrity
Oh I don't think it was done on purpose. I'm sure it was accidental. But once it was auctioned off and the mistake was found and Billet Labs asked for it back then there should have been an immediate compensation. Billet Labs seems to claim they have been ghosted until GN's video came out and NOW LMG is saying they will compensate Billet Labs. Why the delay?

Djallx reacted to Josysclei in Gamers Nexus alleges LMG has insufficient ethics and integrity
First of all, the whole Billet Labs stuff is completely absurd if true. I don't think they would intentionally sell something they couldn't, probably some massive fuck up in communications happened between the team responsible for sending it back and the people choosing the items to be auctioned, but it's still a huge issue and 100% LTT's responsibility to fix it and make sure something like this never ever happens again.
About the rushed content, it's something that a lot of times crosses the border of "fun jank" to being just frustrating. Every single project they do seems to be rushed, unfinished, untested and plagued with issues and oversights. And that could be their content "brand", seems like many people enjoy the jank. But if they now want to present themselves as serious testers, someone the community can look up for reliable data with Labs, that mindset needs to change, FAST. How the hell can I trust someone who has to correct themselves almost every video? And makes errors that a basic review of the content could catch?
You need to pump out 7 videos a week? Sure buddy, but maybe allow more time sensitive projects to be properly planned, executed and reviewed and throw some "here's 10 fun crap we found on aliexpress" videos to make up for it.

How diy do you want to go?
Id probably just setup a system with proxmox, and use it for all the vms. Id probably get a firewall with something like pfsense/untangel as I like it more than unifi's firewalls
If you just want the radius users to have lower speeds, you can do that all in unifi with the guest ssids.
If you want simple, just get a synology nas.

Djallx reacted to X99 in LTT Merch ordering from Europe
Hi.
Following up this thread, I wanted to know if there are any update on having a european distributor for LTT merch. I'd love to grab one of these lovely black/gold water bottles, but their price+shipping+import fee will make it very, very expensive 😭

Hi Luke, first off, great fan of the new show.
Did you guys ever think about creating a second channel with the quick old style unboxings of the stuff you properly review on the main channel.
I really liked to see what was in the box, what to expect with the package etc.

What was that bottom basement in your old house office used for. You never showed it off in your old office tour. Was it storage?

Djallx reacted to Faceman in Tesoro Lobera Supreme RGB Mechanical Keyboard, first time mech keyboard owner
Tesoro Lobera, Tesoro Lobera, Tesoro Lobera. Where do I begin. I guess some preamble and back story so that you as a reader get a better idea of my knowledge and expertise or lack thereof in mechanical keyboards. If you want to skip straight to the review of the Lobera, scroll down because I have a bunch of preface to work through so that you get an idea of how I came to my personal conclusions about this keyboard.
I've never owned a mechanical keyboard before, but knew I wanted one after hearing about them from other users on the forum. The hardest part about buying a mechanical keyboard is deciding which switch type is right for you, and no matter how much you read up on the different switches, nothing substitutes actually using those switches on a keyboard. Those switch testers are a nice novelty, but I personally don't think they will provide you a good enough experience to be able to make an experience based decision. This is a sensory product, and the switch tester doesn't give you enough of a sensation to make your decision.
Since this is a specialty type item(that is growing in popularity), it is not readily on display, or available for testing in most major retail stores. BestBuy, TigerDirect, or a small computer shop that doesn't specialize in repairs or virus removal is the best place to get some hands on experience with a mechanical keyboard.
So this is where the quest for my first mechanical keyboard begins, at a Tigerdirect and BestBuy in Northeast Florida. The most experience I've had before buying the Lobera was playing Wolfenstein New:Order in a Tigerdirect on a Corsair K70 with Cherry MX Red Switches and mindlessly typing on a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate with Razer(Kailh) Green Switches, which most closely resemble Cherry MX Blues in a BestBuy.

The OCK bracket is a simple switch which allows the user to choose between a four 12V rail OCP mode and a single 70A rail mode. For those who do not which to install the PCI bracket, the power supply defaults to its standard four rail mode without anything connected. If you still want to not use the bracket but go with a single rail mode, Be Quiet! includes a jumper which forces the unit to permanently operate under single 12V mode

Djallx got a reaction from T.Vengeance in Norton Sucks
I can honestly say I have never had problems with Norton. I hear a lot of bashing on Norton on the Internet, but I don't recognise the symptons they discribe.
I am currently running Norton 360 Premier (family license) and it has only failed once (something slipped past that changed my homepage/default search engine) but other than that it works just fine. (Running win7Pro x64)
