quickhakker got a reaction from turns2stone in Goodbye Anthony, Welcome Emily!
as a point to your "deleting deadname" i think personally it should stay for 2 reasons.
1. its actually saying goodbye to the deadname
2. it can help people (like me) who didnt realise she changed her name and came out find out where "athony" went and who Emily is (looking at the apple games porting video i was like "wait Emily looks familiar" and thus ended up here after searching for the deadname

quickhakker reacted to Windows7ge in To NAS or not to NAS
SAMBA. SAMBA is responsible for bringing SMB support (which is Microsoft Windows primary network file sharing protocol) to Linux. It does a fine job for most setups and applications but in some cases it does have more overhead than true SMB.
For any 1Gbit network though you should have no trouble saturating the link with large file transfers between a Linux server and Windows Clients.
In fact if you've ever owned a NAS or other small network storage device in most cases those devices were running some shaved down distribution of Linux and were likely using SAMBA.

quickhakker reacted to porina in Intel CPU vs AMD Ryzen cooler
Without looking at the above video, my experiences are:
Intel coolers do run CPUs hot, but a large part of this is due to using paste under IHS. Do a LM and temps drop a LOT. I've got one on a 6600k stock and temps are fine under prime95 like workloads. BTW that's with an older copper core one, the newer ones seem to have moved to all aluminium, so may be a bit worse.
AMD coolers, the Prism looks nice but seems to cool worse than a Spire when I've used it. They're fine for older Ryzen CPUs but Zen 2 runs so close to the limit I don't consider any of these adequate.
