Zanakinz reacted to Franck in Anthem & RTX 2070
yeah try it, i have the same issue on far cry 5. So far 90% of the bugs are PS4 and Xbox related. there is only 1 reported bug that might make it crash but if you do the freeplay mission prospero you clear of the possible bug.
Well the 1070 can run the 4k but at medium. I don't know for sure but extrapolating performance the 2070 would be smooth at medium but high and ultra it will probably be sub 60 fps for sure unless it had twice the power of the 1070. At high i get 35 fps at 4k. I prefered lowering to 1080p to be always smooth.

Anthem is a buggy mess right now, I'm not surprised if they're working on that kind of error.

Maybe he's paying for 100 megaBITS per second and your test is saying 15 megaBYTES. After all, 1/8th of 100 is roughly 13, so I think you just have your units wrong.

Zanakinz reacted to LukeSavenije in Enough for upgrade to 2060?
cx550m actually...
but with the post i meant the well known psu tier list (it's the one @fasauceome listed)
except if he's going to run a 9900k 2080 ti sli setup and still wants 200-300 watts headroom, he won't need it

Yeah, though you may not hit your peak efficiency curve at the wattage his rig would pull. I have my two 1000W PSUs because I'm using OCed Xeons and had a Vega FE (now a Radeon VII), and then a 1600W for the dual CPU X58 Xeon systems I'm working on. And yeah, powerful hardware is often fricken power hongry. Have an untested 5690X and a B-stock X99 mobo on the way, hopefully the CPU works and I can see how much it'll draw under load when OCed.

Thats a totally fair reasoning. And I can get behind it

Metro on the beat.
But in all seriousness. I would also look on offerup/facebook marketplace for certain things considering he's already going to be using (assuming) used equipment from you.
Also, the monitor you said to ignore, I would get that on offerup as well. For that price you can get an older 60hz 32-40" TV. ijs.
I would (and have) get a video card from offerup/facebook marketplace for cheaper & then upgrade his PSU a little to a 550W just for that padding. Or, risk it for the biscuit and get him a combo case that comes with a PSU. They do work well in my experiences, I would just upgrade asap... Should lower his budget range by a bit which increases headroom for better or additional parts.
I have personally found a 1060 6gb for sale for 130 near me on offerup (but im in LA).. can lower it to 120. Always test before buying.. on your rig doing what you would naturally do with it (gaming assuming).

Not being arrogant, just stating that iPhones do come from China. And look at the samsung phone that used to blow up from the battery.. Were they thinking it was a fire risk even though it was a top name brand?
It's not ignorance, its personal experience... Anywho i've already gave my personal experience and personal/professional opinion on what I would do assuming they would upgrade within 30 days. So take it with a grain of salt

Yeah you're 100% correct. I still suggest getting a case+psu bundle temporarily to get that dual-channel.

I would dual-channel the ram at minimum. Replace the case with something that has a battery as I stated before.

Thank you for being the first person to recognize my username??? I’ll look on offerup for some deals on gpus and maybe power supply’s, but he’s already got a tv which I said he should use untill he can afford a better monitor but oh well??
