  1. Been using Surfshark for quite some time now, and I'm happy with their services. Their prices are low, the speed is okay, and there's not much difference from VPN's such as Express or others, except for the fact that it's cheaper. Would recommend.
  2. I mean it looks pretty cool and it brings me back to the younger days, but is it actually comfortable to use it?
  3. From what you mentioned, Surfshark fits the profile. I've been using it myself since I got a sweet deal during Black Friday. What I also tried is to stream not only Netflix, but also Disney+ (not sure if it's relevant for you, but I thought I should mention that) and it worked. Also, I looked it up, and they have instructions on how to install their VPN on your router, which might be helpful. Here's their review: https://www.comparitech.com/vpn/reviews/surfshark-review/, although they mention their slow speed, from my personal experience, I have to say the speed is quite decent since I tried using it on my PlayStation.
  4. I really enjoy playing TheRoomPocket, but I play it on iPhone, not sure if you can find it on Huawei
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlGBer0VoF8 can't stop listening to this
  6. I can hardly see the technical possibilities that would allow censorship at the level that Article 13 is intended to be: mainly to copyright everything down to the last meme. If you're a content producer and you're in EU and IF article 13 is implemented the way it is considered now then there may be serious consequences for content producers and some content for sure will be blocked by whatever agency they establish to achieve that. But as I said, I can hardly see that happening. Then again, IMHO there's a reason why VPNs are becoming more popular each year. Lots of people are skeptical about them with all that "I've got nothing to hide" but it's more about marketing than criminal activity. Browsing histories of millions of users in the target location are worth a lot and VPN adds an extra layer of protection, first of all by masking your IP address. Then there's encryption and all that stuff but to get back to your question I think VPNs will become more popular in EU because censorship is going up, and there will be a need to bypass it just like now people are bypassing geo-blocks. TBH check it for yourself, I'm using Surfshark and it costs like 1.99$/MO, there's money back guarantee in case you don't need any of it. But try browsing without any protection, see how it affects the ads, then do a week with VPN on and clearing cashe/cookies, try accessing geo-blocked content, I find it worth those few extra bucks.
  7. Can't say I agree. A quick search online showed two links here and here discussing the same question. I do understand the point that Netflix does not want you bypassing geo-blocks but are there any actual laws by which they can sue the user for doing that? One thing is that they should prove that you actually watched any content that you're not supposed to but for that they need to have browsing logs, and there are none if you're using a good VPN service. How do you make a case here? P.S. I think that geo-blocks is a marketing strategy above all else.
  8. I've played The Elder Scrolls online for a while, just didn't have enough time to continue. I liked it, lots of activities, really, tons of it, as far as I know they're still alive and going, adding new content and all.
  9. I'd add Surfshark to the list and in the top 5 choices at least. Yeah they're somewhat new and I've been using it just for a while, but the speeds are good, you've mentioned the number of devices VPN supports - they provide support for unlimited devices. Based in the British Virgin Islands, same as ExpressVPN, no data-retention laws. The only negative is they should add more servers (now they own 800+) if they want to compete with top players. And PureVPN is in the list..? Mr. Other, they've been caught logging users data.
  10. That's not what we're really talking about. OP wants to use Netflix and since he's paying for the services I believe he/she should have access to full content. And it's not the issue whether Netflix or content owners are pushing for geo-blocks, - piracy will never be as comfortable as a professional streaming service. I use Netflix and I use a VPN to bypass geo-blocks, haven't pirated any content in years. In the end it's everybody's choice.
  11. Netflix is putting a lot of pressure on bigger VPN providers, so far it's been IP block-bans but I've heard somewhere they're planning to further increase protection against VPNs, dunno how though. So far can only say I'm using Surfshark and had to troubles with Netflix. Pretty new provider - no IP bans so far.
  12. I don't like having many apps as well. Battle net somehow grew on me, but it's doesn't even come close comparing to what steam offers. Another point is I think steam is better or smaller devs that want to get publicity, game recommendations that are offered to be based on what I play do offer games that I wouldn't find anywhere by myself.
  13. And check on which US server the ping is best, ~10ms should be totally fine. https://www.speedtest.net/
  14. Interesting question. Borderlands use p2p for multiplayer so connecting to the same server maybe could straighten out the latency for both users. Right now if your're connecting to your AU buddy you get a response later than him, while connected to the same server theoretically should give the same response time. I'm using Surfshark, they have 30d. money back guarantee if it doesn't help at least you'll get to try VPN for free for a month :D. Other VPNs that are said to give good speeds are ExpressVPN and IvacyVPN. P.S. You don't need to connect to the server in between the countries, just connect to the same US server, it's closer to you and to AU.
  15. Try cleaning up the cookies/cashe and then double check if it still shows your exact location. If you're signed into google then this information can be stored on their side and you gotta log out.
  16. I asked kind of the same question and got lots of good advises. You can check the topic here. I'm using Surfshark it goes as low as 1.99$/MO for a two year plan. Has an Android app and I googled if they work with FireTV, according to their webpage it does, I haven't tried personally though. Overall I'm happy with the service.
  17. Path of exile Heartstone Played Gwent for a while but somehow didn't stuck to it.
  18. Try Anno series, 1404 with Venice expansion is considered an absolute strategic building classics. Everyone is looking forwards to Anno 1800, TBH it looks stunning and might be a very good game, will released after one month.
  19. What I recall from my studies Brute Force is a method to solve specific algorithm problems. It can be used in hacking for example trying to obtain passwords, you write an algorithm that tries various combinations until it hits the right one. But this is very easily countered. In programming from other people experience it can be used when you're not sure what solution to your problem is valid so you write a piece of code that tries different solutions until it gets the correct one and then proceeds. Correct if I'm wrong please this is an interesting topic.
  20. Had the same problem and never figured out why, thx for clear answers!
  21. I use my own PC for work so while at work I...sometimes play games But outside of work I use my PC primarily for gaming.
  22. I have Asus RT-AC68U and Surfshark set up on it, this router supports OpenVPN and PPTP.
  23. Divinity: original sin enhanced edition was on 80% discount, sad I came to post here too late
