  1. I'm not really sure, as per the title I would like something which attaches to the desk and is compatible with the 200mm x 200m VESA mounting but would consider any good suggestions
  2. I'm considering buying a Gigabyte FV43U but I was hoping for some recommendations on a VESA monitor arm, as the last one I bought for a 35" monitor wasn't up to the task!
  3. hmm, it's 20% cheaper than the FV43U where I am. I think I may go for the Gigabyte monitor, as I'm using it for work I would rather have a better viewing experience. I would have more confidence if there were some credible reviews.
  4. Does anyone have one of these? Seems like a hell of a lot of monitor for the money but there aren't any reviews that I can find. Except for this one but they also sell, it so I guess its a little biased: https://iiyama.com/gl_en/products/g-master-g4380uhsu-b1/
  5. Could anyone help me with the part I need to replace the M.2 drive screws, both the part that mounts to the board and the second screw that secures the drive? Unfortunately, i've fallen foul of the usual incomplete ebay item shinanigans
  6. I stepped out of SFF for a bit as I needed a X299 system for a while, but now i'm coming back into the fold as i've got enough money for a dedicated gaming PC. I really like the SSUPD Meshy and the Lian Li Q58 but I'm a bit torn between the two and flip between each several times in a day, so I was hoping someone could help me make the decision. Hardware I want to put inside: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5800X3D (I have a spare 2700 to use in the meantime) CPU Cooler: EK-AIO 280 D-RGB Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X570-I Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 3600 CL18 M.2 - 1: WD SN850 2TB M.2 - 2: WD Blue 2TB Sata SSD 1: Samsung 860 EVO 2TB Sata SSD 2: Samsung 870 EVO 1TB GPU: ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 Ti OC Edition PSU: Corsair SF750 Platinum If I am completely objective, I do like the mechanical or functional element of the Meshy more and the fact it takes up less desk space, but I like the aesthetics of the Q58 and the ease of accessibility to the I/O and graphics card ports. I have read that fitting a 280MM AIO in the Q58 is a pain, but according to the specs, my EK should fit? I was hoping someone who has had or worked with both, could give me their 2cents on which is better?
  7. Hi, I want to play with some of my photos using filters like this: Unfortunately, photo director isn't free past the trial, so I was hoping there was something free that does a similar job?
  8. Is there anything you can suggest I try? This motherboard didn't come with a speaker and there's not one with the case, if I plug in some headphones to the jack will I be able to hear the diagnostic beeps? I did wonder why he asked about my GPUs but I thought he might be suggesting one was faulty
  9. You can use different gpu for different tasks, SLI doesnt scale 100% so you actually get more productivity running them seperately, so in a render farm you don't need SLI and infact its a disadvantage I swapped out each of the 3080 for a 3090 just to see if one of the 3080s was causing an issue and it didn't make any difference to the 00 boot issue
  10. Sometimes when I turn my PC on I get a 00 error and I need to turn my PC off and back on again and then it posts fine, any idea what could be causing that? Motherboard is an Asus rog strix x299-e gaming ii with a 9900X cpu, it's running 3x RTX 3080 and 4x8 GB of B-die. I'm wondering if it's the PSU as it's a kind of "cheap" Kolink 1200W Continuum unit but I don't get any shut downs or weird behavior during operation, although it did trip my fuse box a couple of times in my PCs old location when I turned it on.... but since I moved my PC and im using a different socket, it's not tripped the fusebox. It's going to be expensive to buy another PSU of this class (if I can even get one) to test if that's the issue so I wanted to exhaust any other options first!
  11. Sorry I don't understand 4 = blank, 5 = 3x140, 6 = 3x120 and 7 = 140mm
  12. Yes 3 is going to be mounted vertically as the slots on the motherboard won't allow me to mount all three cards normally All three cards will be air cooled, i'm just wondering if running 5 and 6 as intake?
  13. I was wondering if there's any articles on what works better for rigs with high power consumption? 1 - RTX 3090 2 - RTX 3080 3 - RTX 3080 4 - Intake or leave blank as it'll cause turbulance? 5 - Intake 6 - 360mm AIO exhaust or maybe intake? 7 - Exhaust I'm a trying to ensure the RTX 3090 stays cool as it's pushed up quite close to the RTX3080 below it due to motherboard layout, I can't swap them around or there won't be enough space for the riser cable in the bottom 16x slot:
  14. No worries, I was kind of surprised that there isn't more information on the standard for slots to be honest
  15. I was going to ask on their forum but activation of an account takes 24 hours apparently
  16. I did post a more detailed request here: it's a ROG RAMPAGE VI EXTREME OMEGA motherboard but I thought i'd ask the question in a different way here :S
  17. I can't seem to find the standard width of an expansion slot in a case, i'm trying to calculate if a Gigabyte RTX 3080 Eagle OC (H=56 mm) will clash with a PCI-E riser cable plugged 2 sockets below it?
  18. I've been offered a good deal on this motherboard, I'm trying to work out how many GPU I can fit in my Enthoo Pro 2 case and i'm struggling to find the PCI-E spacing on the ROG RAMPAGE VI EXTREME OMEGA motherboard, it doesnt seem to mention it anywhere in the manual? It "looks" like I have 3 slots for the top x16 slot, two for the second x16 slot and one for the bottom x16 slot? Can one who has the board confirm please or anyone that has a source that confirms this? I have a RTX 3090 FE I want to put in the top slot, Gigabyte RTX 3080 Eagle OC to put in the second and an MSI RTX 3080 Suprim X to put in the bottom of the case via riser cable/adapter. However I am concerned that the Eagle OC won't fit/clash with the riser cable. The inner geek is suggesting that I just slap waterblocks on all of them... however I will need to move the case from time to time to different locations so I would prefer not to take the risk with so much hardware.
  19. Honestly I would go with this deal as the 3700x is only faster in select workloads and the 5600x is allot faster in the vast majority of gaming loads
  20. Yeah i'm betting there will be some sweet cometlake and coffeelake deals
  21. Hell a 5600x+b550 and use the 2080 nvec for streaming would be even faster
  22. Yeah I kinda guessed, there's nothing wrong with that but you'd be better served with "normal" desktop parts since you've got easy access to 8/12/16 core parts now.... I don't think you are likely to see much if any difference from your x99 setup.
  23. Its not a bad deal.... for someone whose going to use it for it's strengths, if you're going to run MS Office, edit a few videos and play games... (like most people do) it's still not great.
  24. Theres really no point in buying into x299 unless you need the pci-lanes and can make use of the higher clock speeds of the Skylake-X cpu's relative to 1st and 2nd gen threadripper. Price is also a factor as since threadripper cpus have gone up allot in price since AMD has gained market share and prominance in the enthusiats mind
  25. I contacted them directly and as luck would have it overclockers.co.uk which is owned by caseking have placed an order! It is due to arrive in mid-March Overclockers staff seemed to be unaware of this but they checked and confirmed the above I can confirm that it is PCB and backplate on the Suprim X, so it's not like I could remove the shroud and it would fit
