  1. could the number is also contributed by retailers/OEMs that don't accept returns???? Not saying I want to return it but can't, it's still a significant upgrade compared to my old trustworthy GTX680 but I do saw people can't return it...
  2. Based on my experience with Sony Vegas. Good CPU is a must. Good GPU (Cuda or whatever it is with AMD equivalent, I dont know) if you are pushing a lot of effects and stuff provided your software does support it 32gb of RAM is recommended, but I work just fine with 8GB, with hiccups of course....
  3. Thinking my Seidon 240M will fit properly inside CMStorm Scout 2. Broke the DIMM slot on mobo after I knocked the DIMM in the process.
  4. If you meant for future products, it might work and I don't see a reason why it won't work. But the reason not to is that the silicon is still not as fast so your system doesn't run on speed of light either causing all the extra cost isn't justified. Heck, even thunderbolt that originally was meant to be on optic signal got changed to copper wires because it is still fast enough for everything and optic just add more cost to it without any significant benefits.
  5. And then there's my work machine that starts to slow down with memory usage 8GB when 32GB is available for it to use...
  6. Wait, if people slowing down because waze reports there is police in the area shouldn't the police praise it????
  7. I don't see this as digging... (brace yourself, rant mode) Now, I've seen a lot of people (not in here yet, good thing) saying they can't afford full price that's why they go for cheaper alternatives with resellers like G2A, then get mad at Ubisoft for removing it from their library. I'd say, screw you. Can't afford it, don't buy it, don't play it. It's not like you will die from not playing FarCry 4. If you really want it, just wait till it is on sale then buy it properly. If you are still going to take the risk and grab it from resellers like this you can't blame Ubisoft for doing what is in their rights to do so. Unless Ubisoft is taking away legit copies like one bought from Uplay or Steam, it's another digging story. but this one? I can't say they are digging here. I should've also mentioned, this rant doesn't cover those who bought in different regions because the money exchange cause it to become cheaper. That's Ubisoft's fault not to get those keys region locked
  8. So, my question right now.... will the lower-level abstraction available on previous gen GPU as well? Or old DirectX11 GPUs will not have the performance benefit of low-level abstraction? Edit: I derped again. Read the post again and it is available for old-gen hardwares...
  9. It's not that surprising to me, that old house now can float in the ocean done by adding more stuff onto it. It's basically still the old house, with new modification. For such an old house, I'm pretty sure even the blueprint is available to many, discussed by many making any renovation job easier even when you are working alone because you have a lot of input from other people on that old house. But what Rockstar is working right now is totally a new house, with new blueprints, with only probably 100 heads for inputs. They are not renovating the old house. They are building a new house. And building isn't equal to renovating.
  10. With a hammer (PC), I can build a house on the land (bunch of codes for consoles) but the same house built on the land is not suitable if I want to live floating in the ocean (bunch of codes for PC). With the same hammer, I can build another house floating in the ocean probably re-using same design models but I will need to change things here and there for sure to cater for different environment. I don't know if it is any easier for you to understand, but pretty much that's how it works...
  11. I think the biggest problem with ESO is the questing. It's not the story is bad. But Elder's Scroll that I have played before (Oblivion and Skyrim at least) is betting on "You're born special so you do special thing" story. When you jump into the ESO, the same story is being used as well; you are special that's why you were captured, selected to rescue somebody and proceed with your great adventure. But then again, you also see hundreds of others doing the same exact thing making you doubt that you are special... and after a while, I don't feel special anymore... I just feel like I'm a regular Tamriel inhabitant, that's why I feel like it is the most generic soulless MMO I've ever played. after spending times in Beta, and 1 free month I don't feel like this is worthwhile. Disappointed with many things. Even the quest that was bugged in beta and people feedback saying that it is the server stress that cause the bug, no actions was taken to fix them making questing a very frustrating experience. I would easily choose to play Neverwinter over this. I'm glad they went subs-less then I can go on and try new stuff without the need to subscribe.
  12. They have USB ports, so you can attach a mouse to your mouse.....
  13. When I was start working once upon a time, I used to hook my PS2 to USB capture device as well and run it on a Pentium M laptop with the provided software. I don't experience in any kind of latency or lag as far as I can tell. I think if I am able to play Gran Turismo 4 it should be ok. Edit: I'm a derp, didn't understand the question properly. Since you don't have any piece of software to view it right now, I remember once I tried with Media Player Classic because it is much lighter to run compared to the provided software. I think there's a few video player that can get inputs from the capture card as well.
  14. I own the Nostromo (Belkin rebadged) because I can't game on my laptop's keyboard when I travel but don't want a full size keyboard as that takes space. The thing that I like about similar device is that, if configured correctly it if very comfortable and efficient to use. but then again, it takes time to be configured (not that it is that hard but I just want to launch the game and play instead of configuring stuff) and once I'm back at home with my BlackWidow I don't find the device is good anymore (due to membrane vs mechanical). I do think about the Orbweaver but the price is similar to full mech keyboard puts me off from this thing. Definitely the adjustable stuff in there counts for something I guess, reading your review makes me wants to try it....
  15. I own and still am using the old blue LED pre-2013 Cherry Blue Razer BlackWidow Ultimate. And based on my experience with it, I won't recommend you the Chroma... 1. Last time it's Cherry switches so I kind of can say at least the switch won't fail on you. But nowadays it isn't anymore. 2. Some of the LEDs actually has problems on mine. I won't be confident enough on Chroma. 3. Firmware issues. I got hit with firmware issues where the 'L' key is stuck whenever I lock my PC with Win+L. My friend got the same issue with his BlackWidow Ultimate 2013 as well. Solved with firmware update. I used to have bouncing input (repetitive input with one stroke) which I think solved with firmware update as well. 4. Synapse 2.0... Razer isn't excellent in software area... sorry to say.... But, at $85 I can't say it's a good deal but I would prepare to replace it by the end of warranty.

The only thing that I'm really worry about your build is the fact that you are going to use 720p60fps on OBS with an i5. But, what you can try is to use NVENC instead of different codec. When OBS starts supporting NVENC, there are still performance hits on gaming with my i7-4770K and GTX680. But recently I tried with my GTX970 seems to be there's not much performance impact, but that probably due to the fact that the game I ran for that recording isn't that heavy on GPU side.
  17. To be honest, this is something I would love to try compared to that clunky King's Assembly implementation that really looks like want to murder my wrist.
  18. Asus Strix GTX970 OC edition. No additional OC done. 19. Last time I remembered I woke up feeling all fresh, is because I'm on my bed a lot earlier and spend 1 hour watching youtube on my bed with my tablet before sleep instead of being on my bed very late and spend 1 hour watching youtube no my bed with my tablet. rather than the whole blue light electromagnetic wave thingaling, I choose to believe that the only thing the tablet do is making you sleep later because you decide to do something on your tablet instead of just go to sleep. so, my advice is when it is time to sleep, just go to sleep.....
  20. That's a bad assumption there. might be valid when HDMI first come out but nowadays there are a lot of HDMI monitors and I use HDMI on one of my monitors as well. Though it seems to be I was not hit with this issue on my GTX680.
  21. Can't say the voice is beautiful... being forever alone, I'd live with that... but, I care more about what she can do rather than her creepy voice...
  22. At least Cortana can check my calendar and tell me my appointments in voice, shuffle my music when I'm driving, read my message, remind me based on my location... Google now? I don't even know what it is used for other than Google search.... I tried to ask it to check my calendar for me once and I give up...
  23. I'd say the game perform very well, not excellent but very well. It does feel like a console game rather than PC but saying it's terribly ported onto PC is an exaggeration for me. AC:Unity is terribly ported onto PC. DA:I is done pretty well, definitely not the best in history, but certainly isn't terrible if you look into 2014 games lineup. It is a GOTY material, I'm not surprise if people is giving it GOTY but I still don't think it really deserves an award. Having said that, I dont know if I can give GOTY to any other games other than DA:I as well. It's a fun game for me. I didn't get tired of it after 40hours of playing. Shadow Of Mordor while it's good but I get tired of it after 3 hours of playing. I didn't even finish it. I can't find anything interesting out of Shadow of Mordor outside of Nemesis system. I'd say South Park: Stick of Truth is strong contender but I didn't play it so I can't really say it for myself.
  24. I remembered there was similar recall on power cord on ThinkPad previously as well... my old workhorse T410 was affected if I'm not mistaken but the laptop was EOL'd and refreshed by the IT department before the recall can take place.
  25. I am so willing to pay for any kind of content and stop pirating, given few conditions:- The content is accessible Available on-demand Reasonably priced My main problem is, the content is not accessible in my region in the first place. I've stopped pirating games once the game is easily accessible for me and I think the price is ok.
