could use it as a VM host, media server, dedicated streaming PC, give to a friend/family member, sell on  your local resell site such as Craigslist etc... Donate to a local school for learning purposes.

I mean, they charge you for scam protection. That’s not proof enough for you to see the moral bankruptcy of the platform?

There is also many instances of people putting up unverified keys and G2A not checking the validity of them. It seems be to a “don’t ask” policy.

Fully agreed. Hell, G2A have been ripped to shreds for not caring before. Just read this reddit thread.

Either way, it's pretty clear that G2A doesn't mind scammers and probably actually supports them because they're probably their biggest demographic. Not getting scammed isn't an extra, it should just be a feature.

Only if you buy at full price from the Humble store. I think he means wait for a Humble Bundle featuring the game.
Big difference is that eBay actively seeks out and tries to eliminate illegal activity and stolen goods. G2A and the like are pretty lax.
I mean, the biggest criticism I have, and the reason why I consider them only just above straight up scam sites?

G2A shield. You shouldn’t need to pay for insurance to protect yourself against fraud. eBay offers their protection without making you pay for it.
    Buy from GoG.com

It wouldn't, but unless the developers start complaining that what either of them have doesn't work, they're not going to budge. If you provide hardware, your primary customer is not the end user, it's the developers, because those developers will bring the end users to you.

The only reason why the PlayStation 4 did so well was because Sony finally swallowed their pride and asked what the developers wanted. Not tell the developers "this is what you get, deal with it." (Well, I guess Microsoft's less than stellar announcement helped too)

G2A and Kinguin are very, very shady.
Nuuvem is a really nice alternative, i bought a lot of keys from them and never had an issue, their prices are generally really nice as well.

I would suggest Steam itself. The game is only $22 CAD (so that would be $20 USD or less).

Oh look at this, it's on sale 50% off ($10 USD) on Green Man Gaming:

BTW, GMG is a legit official Steam Reseller. Unlike Kinguin and G2A, which are grey market resellers. Grey market resellers are at best, game keys resold that probably shouldn't be resold. At worst, they sometimes contain stolen keys, or keys purchased with stolen credit cards.

Don't buy from resellers like G2A/Kinguin if you don't support theft. Buy from Humble Bundle if you really want to buy keys for cheap.

don't worry too much. they can't see your passwords. they have a webfilter and probebly a phoxy, which only sees what website you're visiting up to the ip. They see nothing more than this for example most of the times:
    MAC: 111-111-111-111
    IP: 1.1.1.1

That's true, I mean I don't have a problem with the game going free in essence or anything, however I do take issue with the fact that it's clearly just to attract fortnite kids and that us previous players get uh what? A weapon skin? I mean, come on. At least put $20 in our wallet funds.

Arstechnica reports that Microsoft has won a major US military contract to bring HoloLens to the battlefield.

The contract which is valued at $480 million USD is to develop a new version of HoloLens which is better suited for the battlefield and would see Microsoft producing around 100,000 of these new HoloLens devices to the US Army.

Interesting stuff. I'm curious as to why Microsoft made a bid for this even though many would consider HoloLens to be not ready for market yet. Microsoft will have a lot of work to do in order to develop the new unit to be delivered to the US Army.

If it helps the US Army with their jobs then I'm all for it.

You can't. Microsoft's will update your machine whether you want it or not. To prevent that, you need to disconnect your computer from the internet.
