Well, who would have thought it, only 24 hours are remaining, I don't foresee any crazy changes before the final bell but no matter what happens you should all be proud of what we have done together. An incredible amount of scientific work has been worked through and it is always good to remember why we are doing this. Thank you to every single person no matter how many points you have produced during the last month or so.

Let's see how the team is looking overall, it's been an insane event on a calibre we have not seen before during Folding Month, over the last 24 hours the team managed to produce 2,119,843,990 points, for this last week of the event that number goes up to 12,863,997,363 points and for the event as a whole the team has produced 72,960,395,478 points. On the Work Unit front the team folded through 5,819 Work Units over the last 24 hours, that goes up to 34,536 Work Units and the event total so far is 194,432 Work Units. Over the event as a whole, we have had a stupidly massive 9,789 days of activity, not a metric I report often but I just thought it was worth looking at today. As for the daily breakdown, the top ten produced 41.99% of the total, the top 50 managed 71.92% and the top 100 took on 87.08% of the points for today. Those percentages as numbers are 890,214,948 for the top 10, 1,524,615,881 for the top 50 and 1,845,962,792 for the top 100.

The top ten isn't really all that exciting today so we will do the usual zoom through them, Mxyzptlk has certainly got himself a crown, and although the event is not over it is just not possible for him to lose the throne. He takes the rank of first with 4,796,669,557 points. I don't think he will be breaking into five billion points before the end of the event but he sure as hell will be getting close. jakkuh_t may be outproducing the soon-to-be king but there is just not enough time left for him to take the throne. He takes the rank of second with 4,059,680,877 points. Shlouski is the last on the podium and like those ahead, he does not look like he will be failing to take home a medal before the end of the event, he takes the rank of third with 3,913,671,161 points. Justaphf is filling out number four on the table, taking the rank with 3,604,735,996 points he certainly has something to celebrate even if a medal is not on the cards for him for this event. miker07 is in fifth place and takes the rank with 3,556,653,593 points, following him by a great deal of distance is Alex Atkin UK who is in 6th place and takes his rank with 2,738,371,966 points. A few paces behind him is Gorgon who takes the rank of 7th with 2,373,687,065 points. _Rlocke is taking a nap today but even with that, he takes up the rank of 8th with 1,619,653,301 points. vsteel is taking up 9th place with 1,242,682,919 in the bank and finally, we have the honourable gatekeeper, firedfly is taking up the post today but he may lose out on a top ten rank by the time everything is said and done, right now he takes the rank with 1,148,598,346 points.

Looking for some action we don't have to go far, with both Schnoz and Conman1700 gaining three ranks each to take over 32nd and 33rd, they take their ranks with 455,862,667 and 451,961,045 points respectively. IkeaGnome gained six ranks to take over 80th today, I see him climbing further over the last 24 hours of the event but for now, he takes that rank with 193,595,568 points. will0hlep has been mentioned a number of times during these blogs but he has yet again climbed a further five ranks to take over 90th with 172,589,009 points. sazrocks is really sprinting for these last couple of days of the event gaining another massive 14 ranks to take over 104th with 146,280,002, I truly believe they will be taking home a top 100 rank by the time the event closes.

Hey guys just a quick first point, please try not changing your forum names during an event, now I'm going to name names here, but you know who you are. 😉

I am exceptionally tired tonight after a busy day, but here I am, once again writing that blog that you all love. So what's going on in the life of Spec... Well I am certainly unwell, but I'm going to get my new kitten in the morning... well later this morning. Some of you know I'm doing NaNoWriMo well I'm behind but I've written just shy of 17k words. Which is pretty nice IMO. Send me some motivation in the comments below to keep me writing.

Here comes my favourite part, looking at the team as a whole so far. We have seen a little bit of a lower day overall today, I don't know about anyone else, but on my end, it seems like maybe we are entering a WU shortage a little bit. Today, we managed to produce 2,165,062,185 points, which is still amazing to be over 2 billion in my opinion. So far this week of the event we have collectively produced 11,153,321,752 points and for the event as a whole that number goes up to 25,302,131,323 points. It seems that the lower production rate can be seen on the Work Unit front too, only managing 5,720 today, so far for week two of the event we have chewed through 29,310 Workings and for the whole event that looks pretty impressive at 68,255 Work Units. The daily breakdown looks pretty much the same way it always does, the top ten did 39.29%, the top 50 did 70.91% and the top 100 managed 85.45%, that works out to 850,596,750 points, 1,535,295,605 points and 1,850,106,484 points respectively.

We've got all the usual suspects in the top ten as we have come to expect, but there has been one change in the order of the lineup since yesterday so let's get to it. Mxyzptlk is once again sitting on the throne at the end of the last 24 hours, honestly, he looks impossible to conquer at this point during the event. He produced 145,081,535 points today, meaning he has climbed back up towards the record, is he going to break the daily record again... I hope so. He takes the rank with 1,564,910,396 points and so far for week two of the event he has bagged 709,591,576 points. Sitting in second place we have Shlouski who is proving to be folding at maximum warp taking the rank with 1,384,503,812 points, For the week that makes 591,025,608 points, and for the day he managed 117,799,473 points. miker07 is in third place, producing 103,702,579 today, if he doesn't produce more he could fall four to the team's number one man behind him. Either way for now he takes the rank with 1,246,320,957 points and 511,227,770 for the week. Justaphf could be shooting for a spot on the podium, the question is, with "only" 104,501,109, the event isn't long enough for him to catch up, so if he willing to push harder to gain a medal for himself? He takes the rank with 1,139,944,544 points and for the week alone he has managed 526,997,515 points. jakkuh_t is looking pretty decent cruising along at 93,449,053 points today, I don't think he will be climbing anywhere any time soon, but he takes the 5th rank with 1,121,729,796 points, and for the week he's at 477,910,933 points. Alex Atkin UK is the person in the top ten who has managed to gain a rank today, he has moved up to 6th place with a great 84,079,711 points for today, He takes the rank with 789,191,262 points and for the week he has 392,148,077 in the bag. firedfly who has had a marked reduction in his production lately is the one to miss out falling to 7th with a daily production of "only" 48,264,695 points. For the week he has 393,792,410 and he claims the rank with an overall 787,212,439 points. Gorgon could very well take advantage of this lower production ahead. For the moment he takes the rank of 8th with a daily production of 72,155,010 points. For week two of the event, he has 349,339,437 and takes the rank as a whole with 722,367,893 points. _Rlocke is not likely to be climbing anywhere anytime soon, he pumped out 44,863,901 points, for the week he had outputted 237,170,959 points and he claims his rank with 514,728,540 points. Finally, we have the honourable gatekeeper, whose post is still being manned by vsteel, they take up the post with 407,743,223 points, after producing 36,699,684 points today and bagging 179,560,055 points for the week.

After this being the second attempt at this and me not feeling well, let's fire through a few others across the table. Spee sitting in 103rd after climbing 11 ranks is looking very good right now, taking the rank with 50,312,667 points and producing 11,883,119 of those points today. MatchMaker22 is up next, after climbing 18 whole ranks they are sitting in 145th with 29,096,879 points. BTW, I'm single so if you wanna find me the love of my life please go ahead. Wandering_Luddite gained 10 ranks to take up a spot in 203rd with 15,312,703 points. Finally, MetaDrow gained 25 ranks to occupy 270th with 4,492,547 points.

justpoet reacted to GOTSpectrum for a blog entry, Day Seven - The Close Of Week One Is The Opening Of Week Two
Well, here we are, just like that we have been folding for a week already! Where does the time go? It's not all that interesting today looking at the table but we are going to have a look and try to find something exciting. I want to take this moment to say thank you to every single person who has folded over the last seven days, we are advancing ahead as a team at warp speed and it is beautiful to see! Keep it up and we could overtake CureCoin before the end of the year! What a great Christmas present that would be!

You all know what is coming now, let's see how we are looking as a team. A full week of folding flat out, what have we accomplished? Something that I have come to love about these daily updates and was missing from yesterday's blog, so let's get to it. Over the past 24 hours, the team produced a slightly lower 2,010,717,329 points, seems like someone is slacking. Hopefully, we can get some more hardware folding ASAP. We produced those points with a work unit count of 5,424 meaning that over the last week of the event we have folded 38,949 Work Units and that gives us a total point production of 14,148,830,856 points. The average points per day of the event team over the last week is 2,021,261,550 points, so today was slightly below average overall. Now looking at the breakdown the top ten people in the event produced 38.57% of the points for today, the top 50 did 68.83% and the top 100 managed 84.70% of the total. That equals 775,550,365 points, 1,384,024,307 points and 1,703,078,070 points respectively. Honestly, I have to say that is the best first week of any Folding Month event and really goes to show just how much people have stepped up their game, more specifically the middle of the table. Towards the top of the table, it is mostly around the same levels as last year but the number of people producing double-digit millions per day has really increased which gives us our much higher production rate. This really is a team sport. During Folding Month V, by the time a week had ticked over we had only produced 6,051,327,066 points, so we have more than doubled our event output.

There has been literally no movement in the top ten this update so we will fire through them nice and quick so we can find something more exciting going on. Mxyzptlk remains unchallenged at the top of the table once again, and honestly, I'm starting to believe he can go the distance. There is not a single person who can even get close to him, forget about outproducing him to be able to catch up. He takes the rank of first, sitting on the throne with 855,318,820 points. Shlouski looked like he was going to keep pushing higher and higher during te early days of the event but it seems he is running his reactor at max and is unlikely to manage to pull off any kind of surprise attack. But it is still early and a stumble from Mixie could be capitalised on. He takes the rank of second with 793,478,204 points. miker07 the last man who has managed to maintain a production of over 100m/day for the last week is enjoying a comfortable third place, taking the rank with 735,093,187 points. jakkuh_t is as you all know our only LMG participant and honestly, I expected more from him, to not even break into the top 3 is sad when you think about the sheer massive amount of computers and hardware LMG has at its disposal. Either way, I'm glad he's here and he takes the rank of fourth with 643,818,863 points. For the last of the top five, we have the usual suspect, Justaphf, our number one man on the team, he has been outproducing Jake and I do expect to see him leapfrog the LMG man in the next few updates. He takes his rank with 612,947,029 points. Alex Atkin UK is up next, once again sitting in 6th place with 397,043,185 points. He needs to be careful as the man behind did our produce him and his rank may suffer a loss if he isn't careful. firedfly has been doing really well lately, although like the rest of the top ten he hasn't moved a rank he is certainly looking to be in good form and could climb another rank. However, without reinforcements, that's where his story will end. He takes the rank of 7th with 393,420,029 points. Gorgon is sitting in 8th place and looks pretty decent out on the field, he is incredibly safe in his position and it would certainly be an upset if someone was able to knock him down. He takes the rank of 8th with 373,028,456 points. _Rlocke, a legend of the team is sitting in 9th place with 277,557,581 points. Finally, for the top ten, we have Bigjoe35 taking up the post as the honourable gatekeeper, but he had yet another sorry day and is unlikely to keep his post for much longer. He takes the rank with 239,236,676 points.

Let's see where those we looked at yesterday are. mehrab2603 is up first, they have gained yet another two ranks taking up 39th with 76,027,025 points. Ir8munk33 is the next person who also had a good day, he has gained a further five ranks taking him to 40th with 73,904,585. Taene gained yet again, only two ranks this time, he takes up the rank of 49th with 62,811,085 points. leadeater gained once again a further seven ranks to take 68th with 47,165,321 points. Conman1700 has continued to show us that his early performance was all part of a short-long con, gaining an impressive 32 ranks to take 85th with 37,040,330 points. Burton3516 continues his push up the ranks gaining 16 ranks and taking up the 104th slot with 28,584,482 points. deemey95 had a solid day today and gained 20 ranks to take up 162nd with 13,211,955 points. Moving further down the ranks we have one of our prize donors, SirSaibot, who gained 33 ranks today to take 195th with 9,266,377 points. BigDaddy6969, love the name btw, gained 31 ranks to find himself in 241st with 4,286,662 points.

As you can see, even if the top of the table is relatively calm and dare I say... boring... the rest of the ranks has all the action going on and there's something for everyone to love. Keep going, keep folding, and push harder. One week down, four weeks to go.

The ranks are still very much in flux, which is to be expected to be the case this early in the event. As some people get going, and others tap out early, things will change, I'm not going to give too much weight to how these early ranks look outside of the fun aspect of seeing how the table is shaping up. We have had quite a few people stop folding, so here's a reminder that there are minimum requirements for the badge and prizes. The prizes are a random raffle of all participants who meet the minimum requirements so please don't be disheartened if you aren't high up the table, it really doesn't matter. All that matters is that you work on doing the best you can do!

As has become standard for this event we are going to look at how we are performing as a team first before going into the individual ranks. It is a great way to remind everyone that although we are competing, the first aim of the team is to drive forward TeamLTT and science as a whole. Today the team managed yet another record-breaking day, folding 1,957,732,267 points for the last 24 hours, it will certainly be interesting to see just how high we can push a single day's output. So far, over the last three days, we have produced 5,440,810,851 which is incredible. During the last folding month, we had not even surpassed 2.5b points by the time the third day had passed. An interesting thing to note is that despite our higher point total we chewed through fewer work units, with the final tally for today ending up as 5,218 WUs for the last 24 hours and that means we have an event total of 15,371 WUs so far. Together as a team, we have 860 days of activity which is pretty amazing if I do say so myself. The top 10 produced 36.5% of the team's points for today, with the top 50 managing slightly over 71% while the top 100 did 85% of the team's points for this update. That makes 714,414,480.00, 1,394,717,245.00 and 1,676,701,923.00 points respectively.

Well for those of you following the event thread, you will know that this is the second attempt at writing the blog post. I'm not exactly sure what happened but I lost like 90% of the post thanks to some unknown issue so let's see if the second time around is any better than the first... doubtful as I'm annoyed not but anything is possible! Mxyzptlk is once again sitting on the throne with 350,716,743 points, I don't like to make predictions this early in the event but I have to say he is looking very comfortable on that throne and is the man to beat. Shlouski is once again sitting in second place with a still impressive 334,160,240 points. But if he aspires to go any higher than he currently is he is going to need some reinforcements and the sooner the better. miker07 a well-known member of the team is sitting in third place with 300,351,672 points, he is also the third person to pass the 300m point mark. Next up we have the non-biological son of Linus himself, jakkuh_t is taking up his rank of 4th with 272,813,705 points. Justaphf is rounding out the top five, sitting in fifth place with 215,410,515 points. Alex Atkin UK may look like a sweet old man but deep down he is packing... ahem... packing GPUs of cause, get your minds out of the gutter! He takes up the rank of 6th with 153,259,250 points. Gorgon is the last person in the top ten to keep their spot,
taking the rank of 7th with 107,321,411 points. We have our first upset of the top ten, with _Rlocke gaining a rank to take up the 8th place on the table with 107,174,972 points. Another shakeup is someone who has seemingly come from nowhere, HaRdLy007 has produced an incredible amount of points today and has climbed 52 ranks to take up the number 9 spot with 102,719,428 points. Finally, we have the honourable gatekeeper. vsteel is the man of the hour to take up the post with 94,686,172 points.

Once again, with a relatively calm top ten, we are going to take a look at a few people throughout the ranks. But first, let's see where those from yesterday's blog post are now. firedfly gained another rank taking them to 12th with 88,525,419 points, baha gained another two ranks taking him to 20th with 62,280,450 points, Struck gained a further 5 ranks taking 28th with 44,428,669 points, Bigjoe35 is the crowd pleaser from last update gaining a rather incredible 36 ranks to take 15th with 83,957,953 points. So now we are all caught up let's find some new people to look into. Wandering_Luddite folded for the first time today taking the rank of 276 with 465,233 points, Burton3516 also folded for the first time today taking 263rd with 790,606 points, Aranwe is a name that sticks in my mind from previous events, he is sitting in 216th with 2,255,499 points and finally Nomeansno2, another name I'm familiar with gaining 42 places to take 157th with 5,302,790 points.

justpoet reacted to GOTSpectrum for a blog entry, Day One - Fold Me Up Scotty
Well... Here we are, the first points update for a folding event. There is something magical about this time, something surreal and truly majestic. In many ways, this update is not unlike any of the 34 that will follow it. But to me, this is the best feeling in the world, the rush to get the stats out, the pensive feelings of those waiting to see just how they shape up. All of our's first chance to get a view of the table and a sneak peek at how the chips may fall. But as those veterans of these events will know, much will change in the coming days, not even to mention the five whole weeks to come. So for now, may your points be high and your temps be low, for it is once again folding season.

So before we get into the individual stats I first want to take a look at how we performed as a team. Over the last 24 hours, the event participants generated 1,584,657,471 points towards the team's total. This was produced with 4,673 WUs in total for those signed up to the event. So let's take a look at the leaderboard in sets, the top 10 produced 41% of the team's points for today, while the top 50 did 75% and the top 100 produced 90% of the event's point total. You can see more details of this on the sheet attached lower down this blog post.

Now, for all of you waiting to see the ranks, let's have a look at those.

We are seeing something of note, last event Shlouski was sitting on the throne after the first day of folding, but today, we see a new contender. However, he was unable to keep that spot and eventually came in second place. Well, right now we have a well-known member of the team sitting on the throne with Mxyzptlk(his friends call him mixie) taking the number one spot with an impressive but not record-breaking day of 115,073,408 points. Still, he is looking to be the man to beat so far. In second place we have Shlouski, who despite being a member of the team for so long I still can't type his name right on the first attempt. Last year he came in second place, and from the looks of the first day he's looking like he may replicate that dishonor. He takes the number two spot with 109,693,820 points. Very impressive. We have the king of 2022 sitting in the number three spot, he managed to take the throne at the end of the last event and was crowned as a result, if he is to replicate that feat he's going to have to find more power somewhere as he takes the rank of third with only 95,367,483 points. Next up, we have the only LMG representation in the event, with jakkuh_t taking the number four spot with 90,922,470 points. I have to be honest I tipped him for at least a top-three spot and have to say I'm a little disappointed. Moving swiftly on we have Justaphf, a long-time veteran of the team and our overall Number-One man in the overall stats, taking the place of fifth with 73,743,471 points.

Now moving on to the next set of people we are going to fire through them a little quicker. A legend of a man, Alex Atkin UK takes the number 6 spot with 38,859,739 points, I have to say, a funny note, Alex is the only person on the team to find my personal social media accounts and send me a Friend request. P.S. Don't do this. Nonetheless, I'm sure he will be happy to have a mention here in the top ten. Sitting in number 7 we have Gorgon, a man who has helped out with the running of earlier folding events and really helped us to streamline our processes to get us to the point where we are now. He takes the rank with 36,861,027 points. vsteel is up next in 8th, taking the rank with 34,537,183 points, he's been around for quite some time but is a rather quiet member of the team. _Rlocke is in the 9th with 29,361,403, an interesting fact about him is he was the first person to pull a 100,000,000 point fay during a folding event. And finally we have the honourable gatekeeper, filling up this post we have the man with all the data, the master of the folding hardware database LAR_Systems who takes up his post with 28,064,255 points.

Well, here we are. A little late to the punch, it has been incredibly hot here in the UK and I just have had no energy to get anything done. But, as promised and as always here are the final ranks and stats. I have to say that despite our low number of participants and the fact that many of us were experiencing a heatwave at the time, to see we cracked 2.5 billion points for the event is amazing. Thank you to everyone who produced anything towards that total.

In a move that surprises no one, we have Shlouski taking the number one spot for this event. He never even looked like he was going to miss out on the gold medal for this sprint, taking the rank with 642,136,942 points in total, he alone produced over 25% of the total for this event. Truly incredible to see.

Mxyzptlk is up next, taking the number two spot and earning himself a silver medal, another great performance for the event and taking the rank with 586,125,931 points is amazing. Although I was hoping to see him challenge for the number one spot at some point, it was not to be. I'm sure he is however very happy with his showing producing slightly over 23% of the event total.

Finally, for the podium, we have Justaphf, for those of you who don't know he is the number one person in the team and has been one of the most consistent producers we have had for quite some time. All in all, he has proven that you may not win the battle, but you can win the war with persistence, and sheer reliable production, you can come out on top overall even if you can't win an event. He takes the rank with 366,871,863 points. A massive achievement and made up almost 15% of the event total.

The man with the script is up next, we have leadeater, a solid bloke who just happened to have access to a bunch of unused resources at work for this event takes the rank of fourth with 148,419,778 points, it may not be as impressive as some of the people above, but I still it is important to take note that this was 90% CPUs!

Finally, for the top five, we have RollinLower, a steadfast member of the folding community and a long-standing veteran of events. I always like to see him joining as I think he's been around almost as long as I have in the team. He takes the rank with 107,073,765 points.

Thank you once again for everyone that joined in the sprint, I know times are tough, between high power costs and inflation to heatwaves and general issues the folding sprint is supposed to be hard, but not this hard. Hopefully you all had a good time and I look forward to seeing you all at the next one which is likely to be Folding Month VI but who known, maybe another sprint could happen before then.

See the stats and prizes here, you have until the end of the month to claim them via PMing me here on the forum.

Well, here we are, Right now I am on a group VC that includes the one and only @Shlouski !!! He is a solid gent and on top of that is enjoying number one.

As already stated we have the number one man taking the number one spot, Shlouski takes pole position with 284,294,137 points, and I have to say it is looking like Mxyzptlk is not going to be able to compete in the slightest, this is not to say he is doing badly by any stretch, taking the second rank with 256,294,165 points. Then we have number three, who is number one on the team overall, justaphf, taking the last spot on the podium with 153,539,427 points. The number four spot is taken by Leadeater with 63,500,740 points, a massively impressive feat for a man running mostly CPU cores. Finally, for the top five, we have the legend that is RollinLower taking the final rank for this list with 46,586,967 points.

And that rounds up the top five, and seeing as we have so few participants and my pain is no better, I'm going to leave it there for today. But here's a little reminder, if you miss even a single day, you are disqualified from this event. To make it a little more fun there are 3 LTT discord vouchers left over from the BOINC event so I will throw them in as prizes for this event.

So first off I would like to apologise for the delay on this one. As many of you know life is challenging for me at the moment but hey we got there eventually. I thank you all for your continued understanding. I'm sure it gets worse every year!

Here we are at the end of our fifth event, A massive thank you to our six event fanatics, who have been the first to claim the five year badge for these events. @RollinLower @GOTSpectrum @sazrocks @TVwazhere @Dissitesuxba11s and @Spotty are the six people on the forum that should have the five year badges. Well done to us all and thank you for showing up year after year. We salute you.

I think it is fair to saw that the legend of Den-Fi continues to be one known well by most of the team, but for the first time since his leaving of the forum we have seen someone out compete him. And not only one person but we have seen multiple people break the previous record of 2.3 billion points. As is the ever march of technology, it was only a matter of time, but to see it broken, on such a scale goes to show just how far technology, and the team has come in only a couple of years.

I would like to thank those who helped with the event this year, we have the usual thanks to @leadeater who continues to maintain and manage the script that is privital for the smooth running on these events. @cbigfoot does a lot of the leg work, validating point totals, inputting them to the spreadsheet and generally doing all the small odd jobs that are needed to be done.

Please can all make sure we donate a few dollars to Jason over at EOC, his servers must have taken a beating with all the traffic we have thrown at the guy over the last month or so. You can either use this PayPal link or find the PayPal donation button on the EOC Website on the left. Don't forget to include a note thanking him so he knows its from team LTT.  My personal go to is, 'From LTT with love' but you are free to write your own.

Now, it is time to get to what we have all waited for, THE RANKS!

In first place we have @miker07 this was his fourth event participating and what else can we say other than wow. I really didn't see him taking the throne in the opening days of the event yet he fought hard and secured that lucrative gold spot. In many ways it looked like he was overperforming, then he would breeze through day after day showing us just what he could do when he stretched his legs. It is a well deserved victory taking the throne with 3,702,959,248 points. He will be celebrated as not only our king, but also the man who toppled the old record set by Den-Fi.

In second place we have @Shlouski who for a time looked like he may be able to take the throne himself but in the end it was not to be. He takes the rank of second with a still yet incredible 3,226,841,295 points. Despite this, despite him also beating the old record I am sorry to say that he is this years Failed King. After holding the throne for a time, finally being bested by miker who went on to take the throne for this event.

In third place we have Mxyzptlk, Mxy (Mixie) did well this event taking the rank of third with 2,132,197,116 points. In the early part of the event it didn't seem like he would make it to a podium finish, still strong competition from other participants. But as the days went on he went from strength to strength to find himself taking the rank of third. He was less than 200 million points away from the old record set by Den-Fi, if I were him that would be a sore spot when I look back over this month. Last folding month he was fourth so it is good to see him managing to gain year on year.

In fourth place we have Justaphf, this was his third year competing in a row and also his third overall, He takes the rank with 1,701,918,525 points. I think it still cannot be understated just how big of an achievement this pop total is. Gaining well over a billion points in five weeks is still an insane level of production and if it were me I would be very proud.

Fifth place is taken by _Rlocke, who has been active in all but of our events to date. He is certainly a man I like to see in events as he can always cause an upset if he wants. I do have to ask though, where was his mind this year? Nonetheless he takes the rank with 1,632,051,123 points.

6th place is taken by Igor_Sinelnikov with 1,493,089,912 points, it is only his second time participating in an event and it is nice to see him continuing to place so well, even if he was higher in the event at his peak.

7th place is taken by gordonbb with 1,447,548,447 points. He missed out on his fanatic badge this event by missing out on last years folding month. He has been involved in every other folding event and has even helped with the running of some of them.

8th place is taken by Ben_F with 1,360,690,324 points. He did give us a good run to watch, seeing him climb the ranks day after day to take this spot.

9th place is taken by LAR_Systems with 1,039,370,656 points. The man with all the data being in this rank goes to show there is no replacement for displacement... wait... this isn't a drag race... huh who knew...

10th place is taken by Alex_Atkin with 1,038,109,630 points. I think it is safe to say if the event ran for just a few more hours he would have taken the number nine spot in the event.

For the first time ever we can see that all top ten people in the event have passed the one billion point barrier. What an achievement worthy of celebration.

Once again we get to enjoy the daily rankings of a folding month.

Ladles and Gentlespoons, here on the team many of us look forward to this event, year after year we come together as a team, to join together, to fold together, to compete together, but in the end the only true winner is science.

It is always a great pleasure for me to write the first blog post, the first of many to come over the next five weeks. It is always interesting to see who has already leap out of the gates, and who is taking their sweet time in getting the points flowing. There are a number of people who have not yet started folding, please see below for a list of tagged members of the forum who need to start folding. Only time will tell who truly has the metal to make it through the heat, the trials and tribulations, who among us drives forward in the pursuit of science and who will fall beside the roadway, failing to meet the minimum requirements. I as a rule try not to give to much weight to the points on the first day, afterall, we can seen in many events that everything can change. And it can change quickly too!

So unlike the event last year Shlouski is the person to take the number one spot, with a mighty impressive 73,825,796 points. He has painted himself as the man to catch. It is a shame to see that Miker07, a fourth year veteran of the events to let him take the hot seat, Miker has the second spot with a still very impressive 62,558,110 points. Justaphf is next up with 39,705,546 points, a man now getting his third event under his belt will certainly be looking to get himself a shiny new badge this year. An interesting note, on the first day of the last folding month Mr. phf was also sitting in third place. Sitting almost 25% behind the guy in front, Mxyzptlk is taken the fourth place with 30,153,383 points for the first day, besting himself from the year prior for first day performance where he was sitting in fifth. LAR_Systems, the man of information, the man with all the data, is in fifth place with 27,086,584 points, it will certainly be interesting to see if all that data he has works out in his favour.

Oromit, a new name to me, has found themself in 6th place, 26,246,269 points so far is great to see from a new name. It will be interesting to watch them as the days and weeks go on, can they keep it up or will they find themselves faltering before the finish line. Gorgon, the folder from the great white north, on his fourth folding month, has taken up 7th with 23,234,405 points, Gorgon did not participate last event and I hope to see him come back will all guns firing. Ben_F is massively lacking from last year, where he was sitting in second place, but this year it is 8th where he finds himself, with 19,808,400 points, he is only slightly lower than his total points last year, but we can see just how much has changed with compute power over the last 12 months. Schultzie2497 Is yet another new name to me, finding themself in 9th place with 13,115,060 points, it is a great showing for a new person to the events. The gatekeeper has been shown to us from the folding god Foldsus, _Rlocke a man who have dominated these events in the past, but missed last event is taking up the place of the honourable gatekeeper with 12,838,686 points.

This was a lovely little sprint we had, an amazing turn out when you take into account the current cost of living crisis and to say we produced over 2.7 billion points and that something we all be proud of. No matter if you were a whale or a sardine, you were a part of this achieve and for that, you should be patting yourself on the back.  Thank you to everyone who helps to make the events run smoothly and thank you to everyone who signs up for your understanding of my struggles.

This will certainly not be the longest awards ceremony as is the case with sprint events but I would like to thank those that volunteered to help with the event. With a special thanks to @IkeaGnome @cbigfoot and @leadeater who are event veterans at this point.

Well here we are, day three and even with only our small number of participants we are surpassed the one billion mark already. Thank you to everyone who has got involved so far, no matter if you have produced 100 million, or 100 points, you are appreciated.

Shlouski continues to push forward in first place, with 187.9 million points, it is looking like they aren't going to be caught during this event, but who knows, a few mercenaries here and there could lead to a massive change. Miker07 is taking the number two spot so far with 157.3 million points and once again is looking very safe in their position. Mxyzptlk, which is a username by dyslexia hates, is sitting in third place 133.7 million points. Justaphf is in fourth place with 84.2 million points. and it has to be said although I don't see then going any further up the rankings, they are certainly looking very safe in their current 'slot' on the leaderboards. Starman57 remains in fifth place with 46 million points, although this is a cemented place as Pezui is not far behind with 45.3 million points. The great chinese tigre is up next with 40.3 million points favebook, who has 39.2 million points, could mount a challenge, will a little more effort we could see a race between the two pop up. vsteel is in ninth place with 36.3 million points and finally our very own cbigfoot is in the gatekeeper position with 34.3 million points.

as you can see, many people are giving their all and it will be interesting to see if anyone is planning to mix it up in the coming days.

Well here we are, it only seems like last week we were all gathered here for a folding event but it was in fact many months ago.

We have 56 people signed up for the first leg of this sprint and it will be interesting to see how many make it to the finish line.

So you may notice that I am not my usual self recently, unfortunately I have progressed to the point of needing regular high strength opiates to manage my condition, tramadol and morphine are certainly an interesting group of medication. So I will try my best to keep up with blogs and the event as a whole. We shall see how things work out.

As it is heating up we will see just who can take the heat, not including those using hired help of cause who simply bask not in the heat, but in their wealth instead.

I hope to see a good clean event, no foul play and finally lots of fun.

Well here we are, at the end of the event, battered, bruised and some of us noticeably lighter in the wallet, but we made it through! Over 80% of sign ups this event made the minimum requirements, that is an impressive number considering we usually are lucky to get 50% or so of people who signed up making onto the final sheet. As expected we have a new king! With Den-Fi no longer on the forum there was always going to be a new king, but this is shocking. A first timer not only competing well but taking the throne, what dedication!

As is usually the case, I want to thank everyone who got stuck in and pulled off yet another amazing folding month. Even with a smaller turn out than usual we still got over 17 billion points for the event, truly amazing guys! It truly is only a great event because all of you guys who get involved.

I would also like to give a special thanks to @cbigfoot who once again stepped up and made sure the event ran smoothly when others in the team fell ill... and by others I mean myself. Not only validating but also inputting data and even sharing the points update to the event thread when I was unable to do so. Also a thanks to @leadeater for continuing to improve the data gathering script, and also for running it and storing the data on his google drive so we can more easily access the data we need.

I didn't think I would be writing this again for a second year, but yet here it is. this year has been another stressful, uncertain and anxiety provoking time. With the continued COVID pandemic, and all the issues that it brings, along with soaring costs of living, such as higher food and energy costs has affected most, if not all of us. But, there will be an end, eventually, at some point things we find a few, more comfortable normal. Many of us are in the grip of a fourth wave of COVID that seems to be worse than ever, so stay safe, wear your masks and finally try not to worry to much.

Rest In Peace Valiant hardware, there is a special place in silicon heaven for you, lest we forget.

Now, it is time to get to what we have all waited for, THE RANKS!

In first place we have @IgorSinelnikov, who has overcome all others to become the one sitting on the throne with 1,531,645,523 points, it was an incredible effort and unlike some other, less kind kings of the past he didn't truly dominate throughout the event. Instead he came from lower down the ranks and fought tooth and nail to finally find himself taking the throne by the slimmest of margins. One thing to note though, Igor certainly is no Den-Fi, who during last folding month broke well past the two billion point barrier. Nonetheless, He shall be celebrated, for he is our king... at least for the next 12 months.

In second place we have @miker07, Miker is a veteran of folding events, unfortunately he has never taken the throne, it does have to be said that this is his best showing not only in rank but also in points. With 1,528,821,202 to his name by the end of the event he was so close to taking the number one spot, missing out by less than three million points. Despite that he has much to be proud of, and is truly a shining star among the team.

In third place we have @Ben_F, Ben showed that with determination you can do great things. he remained calm and collected throughout the event maintaining his level of production pretty consistently. Taking the number three spot with 1,356,257,706 is certainly nothing to turn your nose up at.

Fourth place is taken by @Mxyzptlk, who is yet another participant who has passed the billion point barrier this event. An amazing feat that should not be underestimated, they have taken the position with 1,039,905,322. Having a healthy margin behind is certainly good to see.

Fifth place is taken by @Justaphf, they are someone who has participated only once before and yet has found themselves in a respectable position taking 5th place with 900,950,824.

    6th is @Pezui with 447,626,570 points.

    7th is @Starman57  with  440,253,400 points.

    8th is @Favebook  with  433,518,142 points.

    9th is @vsteel with  388,029,958 points.

    10th is  @GOTSpectrum with  385,256,275 points.

I'll admit, there isn't much imagination going on with the titles atm. My arm is killing me from a mix of the fall and then the IV but no matter, we are here, moving on, getting things done and the event stops for no man.

Milker remains sitting on the throne and by god does he want this, pushing out more points than he's ever done before during this event so far. He currently has 861.33 million points. Followed by Ben_F who is sitting in second place with 750.30 million points, with IgorSinelnikov up next in third place with 737.83 million points. Mxyzptlk is in fourth place with 540.68 million points with Justaphf following up the at the rear of the top five with 508.03 million points.

I'm going to leave it here as I need to take meds, have a good night everyone.

justpoet reacted to GOTSpectrum for a blog entry, Day ten - All Is Quiet
Well if yesterday was Deja Vous then I don't even know what to say about today. It has been a strangely quiet day, with only a handful of interesting rank changes in todays update there's not too much entertainment to be had, but none the less, we will smash out an update and for a second day in a row there has been no changes in the top ten.

Miker07 remains firmly seated on the throne with 377.20 million points, being followed by Ben_F at arms length with 344.38 million points and then up comes Justaphf with 240.78 million points. justaphf is certainly looking a little lackluster today when looking at those around then in the ranks. Mxyzpylk is in forth place with 232.07 million points with IgorSinelnikov steaming at full pelt behind him, taking fifth place with 206.98 million points. Igor has been impressive maintain his ship at full speed and is looking to certainly be a challenger for the podium at their current rate of production if they can maintain it. But it has yet to be seen if they have the will and compute power to challenge the throne.

Favebook is in 6th place with 130.60 million points, followed by Pezui with 114.72 million points and 8th is still occupied by LazyDev with 113.18 million points. I think unless we see a bump in production from Pezui we shall see Lazy leapfrog them in the next update. vsteel is in 9th place with 99.44 million points followed closely by the honourable gate keeper, Starman57 with 98.45 million points. I have to say the last two on the list are neck and neck, both in production and total points, it wouldn't take much for starman to push ahead, with only a handful of CPU cores or even the lowest end of GPU and time they could certainly advance. that is, as long as LazyDev doesn't have anything to say about it.

So, as you can see it remains exciting at Folding Month 2021, Well, I don't know if exciting is the right work to explain the last couple of days here but ah well, we must push onwards and hope for some kind of upset in the days and weeks to come... anyone... anyone at all wanna do something interesting... walkinator has advanced nine places to 99th today, GodofROG also advanced 9 places to 54th today, Arrogath had a good day seeing him pushed into the top 30. lucid31 started folding for the first time today and as such gained 31 ranks in the last 24 hours.

justpoet reacted to GOTSpectrum for a blog entry, Day Nine - Deja Vous
It has been strangely quiet over the last 24 hours. There have been a few large rank changes through the ranks but for the most part it's much of the same.

Miker07 has once again proved why he is sitting on the throne, with 329.23 million points, an interesting note is he has pushed more points today than he has managed on any other day of the event thus far. Following him is Ben_F who is sitting in second with 306.68 million points and further down the ranks we have Justaphf with 213.72 million points in third place. Mxyzptlk is in fourth place with 203.32 million points with IgorSinelnikov following behind in fifth place with 159.52 million points.

Favebook is in 6th with 117.10 million points, Pezui take up 7th with 103.71 million points and 8th place is LazyDev with 97.98 million points. 9th place is vsteel with 87.85 million point and finally for the third day in a row the gate keeper is Starman57 with 86.92 million points.

So, as you can see it remains exciting at Folding Month 2021, Anyone else getting deja vous, with no rank changes in the top ten, and few large swings through the ranks theres not much to comment on over the last 24 hours. parzival0741 climbed another 5 ranks which is good to see. GodofROG has gained 14 ranks today and with the production we are seeing out of them we can only guess they will be gaining many more ranks in the coming days. sazrocks is another example of big gains seeing a 27 place jump in the last 24 hours. AndrewZScorpion who is currently in 121th has had a noteworthy run gaining 8 places. Also we have seen JackIV start folding for the first time today.

justpoet reacted to GOTSpectrum for a blog entry, Day Seven - Ramming Speed
It is interesting, we are now one whole week into the event and the second week has started. Despite this we are seeing massive changes afoot across the majority of the ranks. Right as I thought the top ten ranks had become stale we have Igor commanding ramming speed and forced his way up the ranks. Now, he must maintain this breakneck pace if he is wanting to capitalise on this sprint over the coming weeks. Miker07 has stepped up once again in what can only be a bid to scare off the anyone who may want to challenge his place on the throne. But there are still 4 more weeks, 28 more days to go. A lot can change in 28 days.

Miker07 has once again set the bar just that little bit higher, showing he will not give up the throne without a fight, he remains in the number one spot with 246.55 million points. In all honesty it is not looking like anyone can catch the man at this pace so far, but there is still certainly a lot of event still to go. Ben_F maintains his place in second with 231.87 million points, Ben_F has maintains roughly the same pace as yesterday and if he is wanting to be crowned at the end of the event hew will certainly have to pick up the pace significantly for a second time. There is a significant margin before we see Justaphf in third place with 163.48 million points, with Mxyzptlk, who is in fourth place with 145.10 million points, slowly gaining on the podium. Favebook has continues to maintain his place in the ranking with 89.44 million points.

Pezui with 80.01 million points in 6th is the last of the top of the table to escape the onslaught of IgorSinelnikov, who over the past 24 hours has gained seven places to find himself in 7th place with 72.27 million points. Igor looks as if he is out for blood and is gunning for the top echelons of the table, it will be interesting to see if they can maintain this pace, or even exceed in the coming days and weeks. LazyDev has also managed to gain a place over the last 24 hours and they can be found in 8th place with 67.46 million points, even with this small victory in hand, it is looking like this could be the end of the road for their advancement unless they find more power, or someone higher up shits the bed and can't recover. vsteel has fallen a rank to 9th place with 66.09 million points and Starman57 has fallen three ranks to take up the duty of being the honour guard, the gate keeper with 65.83 million points.

So, as you can see it remains exciting at Folding Month 2021, 20% of the event has gone already, it is interesting to see how things are shaping up. Further down the ranks parzival0741 has gained an impressive further seven ranks in the past 24 hours. Mastersam123 who is currently in 44th place has had a good day gaining 8 ranks and GodofROG who is currently in 61st place has gained 14 ranks today. But as you all know, one persons gain is another persons loss, and if you poke them hard enough some may poke back.

justpoet reacted to GOTSpectrum for a blog entry, Day Six - Miker07 Steps Up
There has been zero movement in the top ten ranks today, I gotta be up early so I'm gonna make this one quick.

Well Miker07 needed to step it up a gear and he sure did. Upping production and looking quite safe on the throne with 205.31 million points. Ben_F is sitting in second place with 196.01 million points followed distantly by Justaphf with 138.24 million points. Mxyzptlk is in fourth place with 116.93 million points. Favebook is in fifth place still with 75.90 million points.

Rank 6 continues to be held by Pezui with 65.80 million points, But Starman57 in 7th place seems to have lost a boiler and their production has take a serious dent. He currently has 58.12 million points. vsteel in is 8th place with 56.18 million points and following closely is LazyDev with 54.63 million points. Finally the gatekeeper remains to be GOTSpectrum with 49.16 million points.

So, as you can see it remains exciting at Folding Month 2021, although there has been little movement at the top of the table the same can't be said for the lower ranks. It is certainly interesting to see who manages to keep and who seems to have given in to the heat already. I think I may give a ping tomorrow to those who are not folding over the next 24 hours.

justpoet reacted to GOTSpectrum for a blog entry, Day Four - Interesting Moves
So what have we all been up to today, obviously... FOLDING. It is exciting to see some of the stragglers are now getting themselves moving the right direction with a few more people starting to fold for the first time today. Also you will notice that for the first time ever we are showing rank deltas on the daily spreadsheets. Let me know if this is something you would like to continue on future updates or if they should be removed.

DISCLAIMER: Due to yesterdays issue with the master file provided by F@H this update will cover a 25 hour period, Including the last hour of the previous day.

Four days in a row Miker07 has remained defiantly on the thrown, taking up the number one spoint with 132.32 million points. But there is a slow challenge afoot. Ben_F who is occupying the second rank with 122.80 million points has outproduced the would-be king for a second day in a row. If all continues as is, we are likely to see the pressure on Miker mounting towards the end of the first week. Third place is taken by Justaphf, with 90.81 million points although they certainly won't be a challenge for anyone ahead, there is also a significant margin behind, with Mxyzptlk taking the number four spot with 67.02 million points. In the rear of the top five ranks we have Favebook with 49.32 million points.

Starman57 has kept rank six so far with 40.31 million points but there are rumblings behind, as multiple threats from behind are steaming ahead at full bore poised to challenge in the coming days. Pezui has advanced a rank to 7th with 39.22 million points, this means vsteel has lost out and find themselves in 8th place with 37.98 million points. But vsteel could miss out event further as LazyDev in defiance of their own name has commanded 'Make All Sail' and is currently in 9th place with 33.64 million points. Finally we have yet another new honourable gatekeeper, Alex Atkin UK has advanced a rank to take the tail end of the pack with 32.67 million points.

So, as you can see it remains exciting at Folding Month 2021, We can see that although the challenge is slow, Ben_F is certainly making a run on the throne. Lower down the ranks we can see Grockle making decent progress up the ranks. But I think the best clipper in the lower ranks has to be the amazing speed we are seeing from parzival0741 who has gained an amazing 25 ranks over the last day or so. As always those in the lower ranks are slogging it out and the usual shuffles are ongoing as always.

It's nice to see that the event has surpassed the one billion point barrier. I'm seeing a number of people who hasn't folded in the last 23 hours. I think it's important for you guys to meet the minimum participation requirements in mind.

DISCLAIMER: Due to an issue with the master file provided by F@H this update will cover a 23 hour period, 00:00-23:00GMT. Tomorrows update cover 25 hours to make up for the loss.

For a third day in a row Miker07 has retained the throne with 97.18 million points, Ben_ in second place is certainly looking like he is ready to king the would-be king a run for their money, with 84.79 million points. The challenge can be seen in the fact that they out performed Miker by almost two million points. Third place continues to be held by Justaphf, with 67.27 million points, looks pretty comfortable at the moment, with no imminent threats to be seen. Mxyzptlk also has retained their rank so far with 45.65 million points. They are looking even safer than the guy in front currently as fifth place is help by Favebook with 37.07 million points.

Starman57 in 6th place, has a small chasm developing in front of them, holding their position with 31.15 million points. There are a couple people for them to be watching out for as people are speeding up to the aft. vsteel has kept hold of 7th place with 28.87 million points, but it is looking likely that by the next update that will be have knocked down a rank or two as those behind are ordering more steam. Pezui is looking to be advancing at a decent clip being rank 8 with 28.78 million points. I truly believe that if we we're to have had a full 24 hour update this battle for 7th place would have a different outcome, we shall be keeping a close eye to see the development. LazyDev, with 23.47 million points, has proven they are not so lazy, having picked up the pace and advancing two ranks over the last day or so. Finally we have dmynerd78 who has fallen back to take up the honour of being the gatekeeper with 23.46 million points.

So, as you can see it remains exciting at Folding Month 2021, We can see some people has lost the wind from their sails, and others have commanded the boilers to full heat. One thing is certain, there are many days left for things to change up. Overall not much has changed in the top 10, with many shuffles in the lower ranks happening as some push harder, whilst others are faltering already.

Well here we are, folding month 2021 has kicked off and it's a smaller than average event. But nonetheless we will be doing our usual posts, validation and all of that juicy goodness.

It is always my pleasure to write the first post of the event, to see who has kicked into high gear from the out-set and who taking some time to pick up their speeds and get folding. Only time will tell where everyone will finish, and I generally don't take much notice of where people are sitting this early in the event. But it is still interesting to have an idea of who is pushing hard and who is meandering their way through the event.

In first place we have Miker07 with 34.04 million points, Certainly not a slough and it will be interesting if anyone can challenge this veteran. Second place is taken by Ben-F with 22.47 million points, and following very closing behind in third place we have Justaphf with 22.02 million points. It will be interesting too see if Justaphf can push a few more points and take that second place away from Ben. Favebook finds themselves in fourth place with 12.70 million points, trailing behind by only a million points we have Mxyzptlk sitting in fifth place with 11.76 million points. And that is the top five place on the close of the first day.

Starman57 is sitting in 6th place with 10.67 million points, it wouldn't take much more effort to push into the top 5, vsteel is in 7th place with 9.98 million, and within spitting distance 8th place is Pezui with 9.81 million points. 9th place is taken by dmynerd78 with 8.16 million points. LazyDev has found themselves as the gatekeeper of the top ten place with 7.85 million points.

So as you can see it is certainly exciting here at Folding month 2021, it is important to remember than these initial rankings will change, as this is a marathon not a sprint. As the event goes on and the ranks develop we will look into the lower ranks and point out anyone who is interesting. but for the time being I think I will leave it there.

Please click on the link below to see the full list of ranks for the first day.

This was a nice little event for us all to stretch our legs and keep ourselves warmed up for folding month this year. As many of you know I have been plagued with health issues. Due to the health conditions I have this will continue and slowly get worse. But I plan to keep pushing on with more events for as long as I can. Thank you to everyone who helps to make the events run smoothly and thank you to everyone who signs up for your understanding of my struggles.

This will certainly not be the longest awards ceremony as is the case with sprint events but I would like to thank those that volunteered to help with the event. With a special thanks to @marknd59 @cbigfoot and @leadeater who are event veterans at this point.

To claim prizes you need to drop me a PM within the next 7 days, with the subject line of, please can I have my prize.

Thank you to everyone who got involved during this event. It was great to be back even with my own struggles.

The next event will commence on the 1st of November, I look forward to seeing you all there.

I ended up rewriting this as morphine-brained spec didn't write a good post.

    Happy folding,

It goes without saying that we are thin on the ground, but no matter, we will push on.

This will be a short post, mostly cause Fridays is my drinking call on discord!

In first place we have Miker07 with 26.13 million points, tailing behind him with "only" 19.6 million points we have Justaphf, third place is occupied by Pezui with 13.01 million points. That is the top three and as we can see even with the Den-Fi menace missing we can see some strong numbers. Fourth place is taken by Ir8munk33 with a fairly decent 10.74 million points and fifth place is RollinLower with 8.09 million points.

These are the preliminary stats, this is a list of everyone, even those that did not meet the minimum requirements as I think it is important to celebrate everyone who got involved! The awards ceremony will be posted sometime in the next 48 hours if all goes to plan so keep your eyes open for it.

In the meantime I would just like to thank everyone who got involve and folded for the event, even if you did not meet the minimum requirements I want you to know that you are still appreciated, you are still very much a part of this team. We fold for any number of reasons, in memory of a lost loved one, to help others simply for the sake of helping others, to gain more internet points than the next guy or for some even simply for the giveaway. No matter your reasoning, be proud of what you are part of here. Look back over the last five weeks with pride and joy.
