  1. Mostly phone related. I bought a powerbank (which can charge more than a phone anyway), a few more cables and a case for my old iPhone 6s. Not the latest, but I also had a satellite phone (yes, yes retro). I thought it would be good for camping after reading some travel tips and this source because I wanted to explore more places this year. But it seems that it will have to be in standby because I think it would be unwise now to go on a trip. Oh, and also a new Paperwhite to replace my old e-reader.
  2. Depends on the size. But I could probably go for as much as 5. Ugh, this is making me crave for one right now.
  3. Cleaning and decluttering. Making my home a little more comfortable with some online help and references. Work, video games. It seems plenty enough to do for me but I do miss the "normal" things before the pandemic.
  4. ^ In the foreseeable future, yes. Before covid, I would have seen it is as over the top, but now, better safe than sorry.
  5. I only used the free version but I ended going back to Avast because I personally prefer it.
  6. Yes, that's my initial thought too. But wow, your dog runs on her side? That ought to be amusing.
  7. Dogs taking naps are just plain adorable. I often get jealous with how deep my dog sleeps! He would oftentimes look like he's dreaming, but for a few times he seemed to be twitching, I got worried. It's just him dreaming, but I did some reading on this: https://petsolino.com/why-is-my-dog-twitching-while-sleeping/ and apparently it can be a sign of a health problem? This makes me want to purposely observe him while sleeping. We can never be too careful when it comes to our pets.
  8. That's right about trademarks. As this source puts it, you should never let it drop. The competition might register it ahead to, as already mentioned, make the term more generalized, use the previous trademark against you, etc. And you might not be able to take it off someone who 'snatches' it from you if they are more prudent not to let the trademark expire.
  9. Remembered an episode from Friends because of this, specifically in the aftermath of Ross's disastrous wedding. Elliot Gould, who plays Ross' dad, says this to Emily's father who is English (at about the 2:10 mark):
  10. Don't ever put anyone on a pedestal or you're bound for great disappointment in the end. Wish you the best in this new relationship, remember that she is still human.
  11. Designing our home. I am yet to venture into creating our own furniture but it's part of my bucket list. For now I'm doing relatively simple tasks like sealing pieces/parts of our home with natural stone, prompted by this read. I also like watching movies and try to see something from every genre and continent. Broadens perspectives.
  12. Not in heavy rain, not when you're swimming... Wiping your glasses with microfiber cloth may be something you'll have to live with as long as you have your pair.
  13. Seconding tip on tailoring. If you're shopping for ready to wear, take the time to try on different sizes from clothing companies. Like shoes, there are usually differences in measurement despite supposedly having the same size. Also add pops of color -- used to be an all-neutral guy but I feel my wardrobe has improved with more color. Seek advice on what looks good on you, though.
  14. Learned today that a pair of "spy" glasses is possible after my brother forwarded a read; we had been talking about surveillance gadgets and related stuff for context. I'm not sure if that's just me but it did seem like a crazy idea. Takes some time and skill though as soldering is part of the process (here is the read in question: https://spycamerashd.com/how-to-make-spy-glasses/ ). Thankfully I don't think there would be any instance I'd need to use one.
  15. I think you have both very good options but the school you'll go to can really only take you so far.
  16. I suppose that is just most manufacturers following the trend. Honestly like the look, but I can live with borders.
  17. Can't argue with you choice of Sony CT800 to be honest. It's got some good stuff that's right up on my alley too, and if you got the budget for it, go for it man, It'll be my top choice too if I have the cash to spend for a soundbar, but right now, I'm exploring the cheaper end of the spectrum. I'm looking at this list currently as all is under a hundred bucks but I meant to upgrade in a few years time.
  18. Quite proper suggestion. Check reviews also.
  19. My personal opinion would be that it highly depends on what kids prefer... You might make it a mixed game, with educational and relaxing stuff. I've stumbled on a gaming sites list quite while a go, and I come back to those games when I need just to reduce pressure from work and other activities and seems quite good. Just remember, not to overload your game with educational stuff because this might bore a lot of today's kids since their primary interest would be in entertaining.
  20. Yes, it is great. I'm still using it and it does the job quite well. I play any games without problems. However, if you have few more dollars to spend get 1080, because it will last you longer
  21. To be honest, WoW is not a game that requires a "beast" video card to run. I play it on high-res without any problem - NVIDIA 1060 6gb
  22. I think it's common practice for most people to delete their browser history. Not really sure if it's usually done with other social media websites or essentially anywhere where your search history can be stored. I always scrub it off, more times in some sites than others (Instagram is one example as I visit at least thrice a day, was slightly disoriented for a while back because of the updates, which was not necessarily changed accordingly on guides like this). It's like muscle memory to me, but I think it's partly influenced by my shame (lol). I ALSO TYPE ALL CAPS WHILE HOLDING THE SHIFT KEY INSTEAD OF HAVING CAPS LOCK ON.
