tbh i only think about graphics cards once every four years when i need to upgrade mine. Like as far as computing goes graphics cards (and hardware in general) news is just “we made the numbers bigger” which doesn’t affect my life because i’m not at the top end othe market so i find it difficult to get excited about new consumer hardware esp considering that new generations come out every year and we’re gonna do the exact same thing 12 months from now

someone needs to write a feminist treatise on the conditions and meaning of all the gendered content occupying game mod repositories. BOTW modding is filled with Linkle (gender swap) content and Skyrim/Fallout 4 are renowned for having highly sexualized user created expressions of femininity. What social phenonema underpin these creations? I feel like the answer might be deeper than "gamers are horny"

Much like the radical right they’re not actually numerous they’re just loud. Buying into them being numerous just plays their game.
Unfortunately a lot of people being terminally online only see the most vocal on both sides. A lot of people get addicted to quarreling over non issues that have no bearing on their lives. The incorrect way/overuse of some words warp the actual meaning of those words. Tribal purity checks on people to see if they 100% adhere to your ideology is also quite common these days, these purity checks end up making a lot of people overlook reasonable criticisms of their group pretty often because any criticism can been seen as a potential betrayal to their group by themselves or other members.
People can disagree with you but still want the same general outcome you do, the path they want to take to get there is just different. Just because someone is being loud about something doesn't mean they are right, just because it seems like a ton of people are liking their post on social media doesn't mean they are right either. I wish more people would realize that if social media was making them angry every single day, the best thing they can do is to disconnect from it. It's not good for you, and it's not good for the people around you. People usually subconsciously try to find groups to put themselves in, don't be afraid to separate the good ideas from the bad ones in groups. Untangle ideas from whatever side you want and try to understand the nuance that is often left out, self reflection is important don't fall into radicalism. -

I’m not sure merely running away will help long term. That sort of thing has a way of coming around to bite one later. There are a couple famous quotes about that.

Agreement and tangential. Guess I didn't really make it clear.
