  1. Seriously? It was the weekend and I have better things to do with my life than sit on a forum. You will not get a higher frame rate on console games playing at a lower resolution. The games are rendered in a lower resolution then upscaled in order they can be viewed at 1080p (or whatever resolution you're at). The kid even said that himself. Therefore, if you set your console to 720p, it just means that the rendered frame isn't upscaled. It doesn't increase your frame rate. It doesn't make your console "run faster". Furthermore, console games are usually locked to a frame rate, so even if the console COULD render at a higher framerate (from lowering the resolution), then it would still only display at the locked frame rate. It wouldn't run faster. How do you want me to back up what I said? I can't find anything from a quick google that "proves" this, because no one has investigated it. There's no need to investigate it. Consoles usually run games around 30fps, and lowing the resolution will unlikely have any effect on this. I looked a little harder and found THIS. There's absolutely no need to be rude. Have a nice day. EDIT: Just to cover my ass, yes there are some exceptions where the console will increase frame rate when decreasing resolution, but they are few and far between
  2. Format and reinstall windows. The only way to really be sure you've got rid of it. Change your steam account credentials ASAP. Do it through your phone or on another PC if you can't on your PC.
  3. I opened a new window to test it and it crashed all 3 of my chrome windows, lol
  4. It's a SATA power connector. Connect a SATA power cable female to that. Where's it come from? EDIT: This
  5. @CaptainGunny The radiators in your house are normally a good thing to touch every so often in order to ground yourself. Hope this helps!
  6. Cost, time, priority and availability of staff, to name a few
  7. This Also, put your alarm away from where you're sleeping so you HAVE to get up to turn it off. That way you're up and can't just keep endlessly snoozing.
  8. I had the same issue... so I gave up and uninstalled link
  9. Follow your threads so you know when people reply Also, make sure that control is set to manual and not auto
  10. Don't necro threads like this... it's literally 5 months old
  11. Necro much... You guys realise this was news almost 3 months ago...
  12. Has arguably already happened... *tin foil hat on*
  13. No need to apologise! Was just trying to help clarify
  14. Why do you want the 1ms response time? Read this and you might reevaluate your choices. 1ms response time is not important. Hope this helps!
  15. Not cheaper if you're not paying for it. People with the PCs pay for it, the researchers just benefit. If the researchers had to pay for all the electricity then I'd be inclined to agree with you, but they don't. Also, do you have any idea how many servers you'd need to match the computing power of all the PC's folding?
  16. ftp://europe.asrock.com/manual/Z170%20Extreme4.pdf Go to page 30, section 2.6. Connect the front panel connector between PWRBTN# and GND. Hope this helps. So yes, do as you said earlier, using PWRBTN and GND
