Morning for me, was getting ready for work after posting the entry.
I had noting to do with it.
From what I can quickly see they were a few reports by the community that @Bravo1cc entry was not complying with the Tech News posting guideline.
No one made a report on my. However, 1 user did reply in my tech news entry to say that I was too late. I see the e-mail notification, but the post has been removed from a mod (because Bravo1cc's entry got locked)

Source is not considered part of the posting quality, as long as it is legit. We let the reader take the decision on that. If the reader would like to present counter facts, corrections to the news from other sources, they are more then welcome to post them in the comment section. We also encourage the original poster to be active in their entry in the Tech News section, this includes, but not limited to update their entry with new information as they come/presented. However, this is just encouragement, no rule. This is a forum after all, it is all about talking about tech, and we all like an active forum. If the OP posts on the tech news and leaves, well... so be it. Sucks, but oh well. Happens in all forum sections on every forum.
Also, The Verge issue, in my personal opinion, is that they mix opinion/editorial postings mixed with some of their news section, and has bias reviews. They are not posting false news or contentiously provide false or incomplete information. Yes, there is the computer building story mess, but that is not related to their actual news entries. So far, to my knowledge, no one has posted The Verge's editorials/opinion pieces in the Tech News section.

There were reports for all three topics. Usually, we would leave the oldest, but as it didn't meet the Tech News Posting Guidelines (and would therefore have been at risk of being removed anyway) it made sense to remove that one and leave the one that does meet the guidelines.
