  1. I was looking at the magewell website and they have a new mini PCIe HDMI capture card! The first thing I thought was, can you put this in a laptop? From what I can see, at least for my laptop (thinkpad t450s) you could put it in just fine, as long as the bottom case was off. What if you made room in the bottom case for it? Anyways, I would never be able to try it because it lists for $300, but it's fun to dream!
  2. I guess Linus can't make jokes anymore because not everyone has the social intelligence to interpret it correctly!
  3. There were multiple clues at which you could've concluded that this post was an absurd satire. But no. You chose to respond before aquiring enough information to input anything of value to the conversation. I just realized what I wrote was a little mean spirited but I needed to get it out. Sorry
  4. nobody uses 55 desktops! That's just ridiculous!
  5. I'm 15 and I use a Lenovo ThinkPad t450s (laptop) and a OnePlus 5 (phone). I use an app called RescueTime on my phone and laptop to log what I do and potentially get more work done. This is how long I've use my laptop and computer for each day in the past 7 days: 2h 23 6h 6m 6h 8m 9h 59m 8h 40m 5h 3m 3h 10m And below is a screenshot of my usage in the past month. Good luck on your project!

  8. My mom is looking for a 4K TV (It needs to be 42-55") I just need it to be cheap! We don't need smart features because we have an amazon fire TV box. Please reply with TV deals!
  9. When asked what is your use case, they didn't mean what computer case you have they mean what will you be using this computer for.
  10. Do you have adequate cooling? You could have: A. Lots of dust B. bad cpu cooler C. a really hot room
  11. Yes! Definitely get an SSD for your system. My sister has a 2009 MacBook (white plastic) and it had a slow SATA 2 drive that wade it run very slow, and I put a $60 120GB SSD in it and it runs fine. Having slow loading times when opening an application and while searching for files is a major part of what makes a computer feel slow. Also you could take out the optical drive and use that SATA with the old drive so you can use it for storage.
  12. Get some SATA to usb adapters, hook it up to the laptop and use the laptop as a media server
