  1. Yes, and no. Banned for off topic.
  2. The Elephone S8 isn't anything special especially considering it's a Chinese phone. If you want to buy something from the official distribution, then I'd say that the best phone you can get is the Motorola Moto G5s Plus, however it will have slower cpu than your current phone. If you want to buy something from china then the best buy should be the xiaomi mi note 2 which goes for around 300 - 320$ (210 - 220 pounds). You could also replace the battery in your s6 with a battery from s7 edge, which will greatly improve it's battery life.
  3. According to google there used to be LGA771 blocks, however they've been dicontinued. Also it seems like your server is using a custom mount for its coolers, so it might not be compatible with anything else.
  4. I've listened to the Sony MDR-1A's and other than beeing easier to power they weren't really better than Takstar Pro80 which were my daily driver headphones back then. If you need a closed back 100 ish $ headphones I dont really think that there is any better option that the Brainwavz HM5. You also could have apent a little more and buy the K553ies by AKG however they arent really portable.
  5. Black / Dark Gray and pink is love. Black / Dark Gray is life. Just like Lux.
  6. Gateron, Zeal PC (which are manufactured by Gateron and are the smoothest keyswitches on the market), ALPS Electronic are just a few to name that are generally known as better than cherry by the /r/mk community.
  7. Led Lightning sweetspot: 0$. Also the sweetspot for keyboards imo is 100 - 120$, if not even more.
  8. So! Let's break it down: Corsair (especially keyboards) Msi Be Quiet! Samsung Alcatel Sony headphones and literally anything but phones (I am sucker for their design and compact lineup is simply put gorgeous) and used amps Gaming headphones (yes, hyperx Clouds included) Non MacBook pro apple stuff (I will buy an iPhone at some point anyways just to try it out for 2 weeks) Cheapo asus motherboards Any Gaming Motherboard And yeah thats prob all of the stuff I could come up with rn.
  9. To be honest I dont really see the point of that much power in your phone. Especially in an iPhone. If the phone has had something like a dex feature then yeah, it could have been useful but if you dont have that feature you are just going to waste its performance and you will be wasting your money in the result.
  10. We dont know that much about a pixel other than its prob gonna be the fastest feeling android phone and its probably gonna be something between LG G6 and HTC U11. IPX imo looks pretty cool but if you arent into ios I dont think this is a great phone. But without the reviews we can't really judge the phone. Edit: Also gestures in the IPX look really weird, complicated and feel like "we are apple we know better whats user friendly than the users themselves". There is a snazzy labs video about it. I am not a fan of the recent samsung 8-ish phones due to thier fingerprint sensor placement and the "edge" feature I never liked. LG V30 on the other hand is prob the most standard phone of the pack and like the only reason to chose it is because of its wide angle camera speaking of which Pixel 2 xl is probably going to have. IMO its simply to early to judge, but from the note 8 vs V30 perpective I'd have chosen the V30.
  11. The advantage keyboard has at least made sense (even tho I dislike its review because it looked like a cheap tv ad). "some keys like p and z [...] all the gestures are equally easy to perform" Do you mean equally hard?
  12. Well yeah... If it was a gaming rig you should have chosen something from i5 lineup imo. Maybe this time around you also should have chosen something like ryzen 5? I dont think she is going to utilize 8 core / 16 thread monster.
  13. Yeah HD7970 and r9 280x are the same card (r9 280 is the 7950) and they are much better of a deal. You will have to be careful when purchasing it tho, because HD7xxx and r9 2xx series were super popular among bitcoin miners back in the day. Also if you want to step down your budget you can consider the 1050 ti. It's gaming performance is even so slightly better than the 7970 and its rebrands while consuming less power, beeing new and having more vram. I believe it would be a worse performer in rendering, and it's performance in mining might be lower, however perfomance/w should be much better.
  14. Hd7990 is a really bad choice. It costs more than a 970 but consumes more power, has less vram and it doesnt even perform better than it (especially if you consider oc and stutering). I believe it could be a medicore choice for crypto currency mining however there are more efficient cards out there. IMO you should go for used r9 390. Its the best performing card in your budget and probably the best card for your cpus. Anything faster than it will probably be bottlenecked by your single core performance.
  15. I've had a different problem on my actual mobo - 2 of my 2gb ram sticks didnt want to work so I have to live with 12 gigs instead of 14 gigs of ram. :C
