Derranged

Thought I'd share this as I'm sure you guys love catastrophic failures! Well, not a complete disaster. One pushrod on #5 snapped, generally they bend but best guess this one bound up against the guide plate and snapped. #4 piston seems to have leaned out, got really hot, expanded too far and the ring bound up and split the top of the piston. Great fun! Bore is a little bit messed up but it's fixable.

Gotta love that cams note! Can't wait to have the new composite rear spring and the new sway bar in so it can be driven, when they actually arrive from the US...

Rebuilding the 350 Chev for the corvette again, this time stroked out to 383 with much stronger and lighter internals. Put together for show atm, just have to go around and make sure the bottom end is tightened up to spec and then move onto assembling the heads.

I'll get a picture of mine with the headlights up when I can, it's red and I blacked out the headlight shrouds which makes it look so much better.
