PenPoint reacted to Just.Oblivious in Installing DD-WRT on my wireless router
There is always the chance that tinkering with firmware 'bricks' a device, though in reality I've only seen it happen once (out of the ~100 firmware flashes that I've done on consumer routers). And even if it does happen, the router can usually be recovered through a serial console (which may required opening the device and soldering some wires onto the board).

If the router powers on and the web UI is accessible, you can usually revert back to the original firmware by flashing the firmware file provided by the manufacturer. But keep in mind that when a product requires warranty repairs it's often broken beyond this point, making it very hard (or even impossible) to revert the firmware before shipping it in.

Whether or not tinkering with firmware voids the warranty of a product depends on local laws and regulations.

PenPoint reacted to Alex Atkin UK in Installing DD-WRT on my wireless router
The main issue here is if the flash to DD-WRT fails, you're stuck as you voided the warranty.  Although you could probably get away with returning it to the retailer.

If DD-WRT works however, its trivial to flash back to stock firmware.

The biggest difficulty is some recent versions of TP-Link routers have blocked the easy installation of custom firmwares.  Do it depends if DD-WRT still have that deal with TP-Link to bypass that issue, it should be mentioned on the router WiFi page though.

ASRock is NOT a junk, for sure. In the old days they used to try some experimental functions like CPU add-on slot or Sandy Bridge chipset for Lynnfield processor, but that's way different from being called 'junk'.

The very first possible circumstance is BIOS of the mobo hasn't been upgraded to the Kaby-supported one. To check this out, you must get any kind of Skylake CPU from somewhere.

    Hi there,
I'm the original Win9 creator (the one that inspired this video). I work at a retirement home and in my spare time I run EastCoast.Hosting.

The original intent for Windows 9 was to keep the user experience the same as windows 7, think elderly/stubborn people, etc. I also wanted to remove as much bloat as possible, this is my one gripe about Win 8 and up. I'm still mad that friggin candy crush is pre-installed on 10 Enterprise. What is M$ thinking?!

I've made a custom 10 osimage (http://imgur.com/a/IdDK1), but its kinda designed for work. I cant really share that one. It doesn't have a straight up win7 theme, but its debloated and many of the metro modern crap is removed in favor of windows 7 like menus (such as replacing the personalization panel, and the older volume control, etc). Also I've found that 10's build upgrades nuke the tweaks, so I've set up a WSUS server that allows everything thru except the build upgrades.

The intent for both of these isn't performance, but ease of use and familiarity (and low memory usage because old people have old computers).

I have to agree, this is a very impressive bit of work! Well, until the last two lines...

Your conclusion is correct if A+B=0, but this is nowhere stated in the problem, and we cannot assume it! In fact, the conclusion is correct even if A+B is not 0, but we have not shown it yet!

What we have to do is find . That is, the value of g' at its local minimum (we know this occurs at the left-most point where g'' = 0, since g' is an overall-decreasing cubic). When you do this, you find that:
    .

And when you plug this into g', you get, in general, that , which in the case for B = A + 6 \sqrt{3}, gives 216! So this is true even if A + B is not 0 (which we were not justified to assume anyway).

I wish I had stuck with this problem more, I just forgot to apply condition 3 in your OP to only x > a! What a fantastic problem though, I won't soon forget it!
