Great way to put it, if I may say so. Thats totally understandable, I think buying any hardware at launch, or anything really, is just a mistake if your expecting flawless launches.

I would say stock, but thats just me.

ryzen has actually gotten quite stable after some firmware upgrades from the motherboard manufacturers. Ryzen had some teething problems at launch, but that was 100% expected and the important part is how fast they are resolved (and it's been pretty good in that regard so far). 
 
The advice used to be to wait a bit on a new platform until the launch bugs got worked out unless you want to deal with said teething problems, but the platform differences on intels side have been really smooth the past few generations since the architecture hasn't changed much at all, so people have gotten used to have flawless launches.
 
Can't blame you for feeling frustrated though, so as long as you're happy with the end result that's what matters.

Well, I feel like AMD has lower end CPUs cornered, but I think higher end will still be a hard fought battle. I'm rooting for Ayymd but its definitely good for the PC industry to see some serious competition to intel at all in general.

totally valid. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a "i'm going to make the best gaming rig ever by getting all the most expensive parts" situation. 

Good to check. I see this alot on reddit and here too, some kids throwing an i9 into their minecraft rig without a GPU, OS, proper case, etc, and also not realising the game only benifits from single core.

The culprit is SHITmining.

(First, I love dishonored, just got salty for a second. My bad, no offence.) Never said it was, I should have phrased that better. I meant more in the sense that using the GPU for what it was built to do, not a cheap easy way to gain cheap, easy money. I understand it works and works well, and I think there wouldnt be any fuss about it except theres so many people doing it, and almost all 200 dollar budget GPUs are out of stock because of it. 

I'm using the wraith right now with my 1500x, its great. Its audible, of course, but its not too much if your wearing headphones. 

Take the AIO off, clean paste from CPU/block, reapply paste, and re seat the AIO.
 
Check to make sure the pump in your AIO isn't KIA.

I'll have to say, I got burned out around 24 hours on ps4, then got burned out around 24 hours on PC now. Its an amazing game, but its the type of game you play a whole bunch, stop playing for a while, then play a whole bunch again.

No problem! I'll also throw in a recommendation, if you like racing games check out Need For Speed Hot Pursuit on steam. I loved it tbh.

One thing about kindergarten too, theres murder and magic chicken nuggets.

It's pretty straightforward after you have made an account and created an OS. Make sure you include a terminal app, drivers, and then any other apps that you may want to install.
