Thanks a bunch for your suggestion guys!! I checked the settings in proxmox and the network setup was a weird hybrid of settings from comcast and my previous ISP Att. I ended up resetting all the network addresses for DNS and DHCP and rebooted and it works fine.

I don't know if I want to go any higher, my temps are getting into the high 80s, but I think I got a pretty good score on my every day OC. 5GHz @1.31 vcore. I got a pretty good chip methinks...
 

The things you can accomplish by blasting pet hair out of the heatsink and changing out the paste on an old laptop never cease to amaze me.

So I recently bought an Alienware m14x for 40 USD off of some guy in my area. It wasn't performing great and the temps were mad (99 degrees on the GPU (GT 555m after around 45 seconds of heaven bench). I bought a new CPU (it had an i5 2430m upgraded it to 2630QM) and put in 8gb of ram from the previous 4, anyway, because I pulled off the heatsink I had to re-paste the GPU, and when I reassembled it and started running heaven, the GPU temp stayed at a solid 71 degrees. I am seriously impressed now at artic silver 5 lol. The old thermal paste was rock hard. Interesting to think the laptop is only 5 about years old. 

Hey it's been a long time since this thread has had anything posted so I am going to close it but the solution/what the issue actually was was the 6800k had a bad imc. I sent it back and went back to my 6700k. Memtest with the 6700k runs flawlessly. I am going to stick with the 6700k for now. Thanks for your help!

Definitely use memtest. It's the best way to figure out the problem. If it freezes during the test I have my bets on bad imc. 

Don't worry about it. You probably read some mis-information on another forum. Everyone makes simple mistakes like ntsf vs fat.

EVGA makes good psu's, but it could be bad. Luckily they have the best rma. 

OK so they are in the mail for returns. After my trip out of town I will rebuy another 6800k and get a x99 strix. Hopefully it will go better this time around. 

Well what's your price range? For inexpensive ram I like Kingston hyperx. Then there's
corsair dominator for high-end ram

It was in a different machine that was in use. I had to stop it pull it out. I am swapping it RN
