you can grab the William's version. Still made in USA and is owned by snap-on, but about half the cost.

ahh, my first PC was crap but I loved it
It was a packard bell. Had a Pentium 60mhz, 540mb HDD, 8mb ram, and ran Win95. Don't remember what the video card was in it, but it wasn't very good. Still miss that old beast.
One of the UPboards are probably the closest you will find to meet your requirements, but they are much more expensive than a Pi and use barrel plugs for power as they need more amps than USB can provide.
A few years ago they went through bankruptcy and sold of most of their patents. Apparently they made enough cash to keep the doors open and crap out phone.
I finally bought my first mechanical keyboard today. I picked up a G710+. It is going to take a bit of getting used to, as I'm upgrading from a K350, which has a non standard shape to it. Typing feels lovely compared to the keys on the old board though. I'm not sure if I like the gray keys on WASD and arrows though. Eh, at least now I have an option to replace them if I decide to.
There is a huge Google Spreadsheet that contains a bunch of tested Type A to Type C cables (along with other Type C cables). I ordered the Yoozoon cables. The first set that was sent to me was the original revision and they allowed too much current through. Customer service was easy to deal with and sent me the upgraded version which allowed the proper current through for a legacy cable.
